Chapter 633: The Ancient Curse (Cecillia’s Point Of Views)

On the way home, I tried to calm myself. My father and my mother looked very happy. Why didn’t they ever laugh like that when they were with me? Was I really used as an exchange for their happiness? I tried to forget about it and focus on myself. I had to be happy too.

I touched Amadea’s black fur. I had promised to accept the man completely after this. We were back inside Birwick Mountain, and this would probably be the last day I saw my parents. I didn’t want to see my mother or father anymore because I knew, every time I saw their happy face without me beside them, I would be hurt deeply.

Instead of harboring hatred with their happiness, I would rather just forget it and never look back. I hugged Amadea’s neck for a moment and buried my face in his thick fur, looking for warmth.

Then, I could feel Amadea’s body changed form, and I was behind his back who had changed into a human form. Amadea put his hands under my feet to support me, so I wouldn’t fall.

"You want to rest somewhere else for a bit?" he asked.

I shook my head. "I just want to go home."

Amadea carried me on his back until we arrived at the waterfall and passed it without getting splashed by the water. After we arrived at the cave, Amadea went to look for Hylios, and our wedding was held simply.

With Hylios blessing us, Amadea and I were wed in the presence of many creatures in Birwick. I was wearing a simple yet elegant white dress that Amadea somehow got from somewhere, while holding a bouquet of white snowdrops. Everyone was present except for Mera, the leader of the dragon clan who had to accompany his mate during her pregnancy.

After I and Amadea’s wedding, Hylios bid farewell as his task was completed. He only promised Amadea to stay in Birwick until the man and I got married. Since this would be my last chance to meet Hylios, I would not let him go. There was something that kept bothering me.

"Hylios, can we talk for a bit?"

"Cecillia, my job here is done. I have to get back to my clan soon."

"It won’t take long. I’m just asking a few quick questions."

Hylios looked doubtful, but he nodded in approval. I looked around, but I couldn’t find Amadea. The man said he had to go to meet Mera for something important, and I let him.

"Alright, what do you want to ask?"

"When you look into my future, what do you see? I was worried because you looked pale and confused back then."

"When?"

"When you touched my hand and confirmed that I was pregnant."

"Ah that... Sorry, Cecillia. I already told you. We can’t tell the future even if you ask, but we’ll only tell when we want to."

"Don’t you want to share about the future with us?"

"I’m afraid it will violate fate, Cecillia."

"Is something bad going to happen?"

Hylios shook his head. He touched my shoulder and gave it a few gentle pats.

"There’s nothing to worry about. Amadea is your fate. If you are faced with a choice, then always choose Amadea because he is your mate."

I didn’t understand what Hylios meant. The man then injured his own hand and dripped the silver fluid, which was commonly referred to as the Elixir of immortality. He put it in a small bottle and gave it to me.

"You have learned to heal your wounds properly, but I’m going to give this to you just in case something unwanted happens. You can’t keep using your blood. Use this elixir well because maybe after this, we will never see each other again."

I was so sad to hear that. Hylios was one of my friends who helped me a lot since I came to Birwick. When Amadea went to wander around Birwick, Hylios, the mountain trolls, and the other creatures always accompanied me so that I never felt lonely.

"Is it true that we will never meet again? Don’t you want to meet our child?" I asked.

Hylos let out a long sigh, like a sad person. He shook his head and smiled and then hugged me again.

"You know, Cecilia. I and my clan will always watch over you, as well as your descendants from a distance. We’ll only be able to watch. Sorry."

I returned Hylios’ hug, and the man said goodbye to the others. I offered to let him stay at my house while waiting for Amada to return, but Hylios refused. He had put off returning to his clan for a very long time and waiting for this day for seventeen years.

The unicorn clan was always looking for a new place to settle down, so a few days ago when Hylos disappeared, he was actually looking for the slightest possible way to reach his new home. Then, I escorted Hylios to the mouth of the cave.

The mountain troll forbade me from leaving the cave when Amadea was away, and I obeyed it obediently. After Hylios went back to his clan, I also returned to my wooden hut near the lake to wait for Amadea. I tried to prepare myself for the mating procession after the man returned.

Amadea’s fangs were too scary. Would it hurt a lot? The sharp and long objects would sink into my neck. Then, the memory of Amadea biting the innocent monkey’s shoulder came back to haunt me.

I shook my head and slapped my cheeks a few times. I wanted this. Even if I got hurt, I could cover up my scars just like Hylios had taught me. I didn’t have to be afraid to get hurt. And for my fear of blood, I just needed to close my eyes, right? I didn’t need to see it.

I kept trying to convince myself that I was ready for the mating procession. Until the night when Amadea came home with his face covered in blood, I panicked again. I closed my eyes tightly so as not to see the blood on his face.

"I’ll clean myself first," he said, then came out of the house to clean himself.

I wondered what Amadea had done out there? Why was he full of blood? I hoped he didn’t hurt any innocent creatures on Birwick Mountain. Then, after a while, Amadea was back with a cleaner face, but I didn’t see his enthusiasm like on our wedding day.

Something must have happened. I approached him with a clean cloth to dry his face and hair.

"Something bothering you?" I asked.

Amadea shook his head. "I don’t like it when humans step on my territory."

"Has a human injured any more Birwick creatures?"

"No, this time is different. But I have got rid of them, so you don’t have to worry about anything."

It looked like the blood that was on Amadea’s face earlier was human blood. My heart was pounding fast. The fear I was trying to suppress came back. Then, Amadea hugged me gently. He put his face on my shoulder.

"Cecilia, will you accept me completely after this?"

I tried to push his chest away. Amadea then straightened his back again. His hand stroked my cheek gently.

"So, should we complete our relationship tonight?" he asked in a low voice.

"Will it hurt?"

"A little bit, but I will help you not to think about the pain."

Amadea pulled down the string of dress on my shoulder. He lowered it until it reached my upper arm. Then, he kissed my shoulder, and it slowly moved to my ear.

"You will not feel pain. I will make you feel good instead. Are you ready?"

My heart was beating crazier. It even felt like my heartbeat could be heard up to my ears, roaring hard and fast without pause. I just nodded, letting Amadea take me to our bed.

One by one, my dress was being taken off, leaving me naked under his body. Amadea’s kisses slowly moved, starting from my shoulders, arms, hips, and even my lower body. The man also didn’t forget to give a lot of kisses on my stomach, making me feel ticklish. I asked him to stop, but Amadea didn’t listen to my request at all.

Every kiss that the man gave left a tickling sensation. I couldn’t stand it. Amadea’s touch was always like that, making me curl up and wanting him to continue to touch every part of my body. Even his warm hands gave me comfort.

Amade bent his body. We stared for a moment, his brilliant red eyes sparkling beautifully even though the light in our hut was limited. Somehow, I found peace when the man kissed my forehead. All my fears and doubts disappeared without a trace.

He kissed my eyebrows, eyelids, nose to my lips, and I returned the kiss gently. I accidentally moaned and opened my mouth slightly when something touched my lower body, and Amadea used the opportunity to deepen our kiss.

I enjoyed his every touch and kept moaning in pleasure when the man did it. I could only feel pleasure until at one point, something sharp stuck in my shoulder. I gasped in surprise because I didn’t expect it to be this painful. Amadea quickly held me in his arms.

I almost fainted when the man lifted his face and I saw a drop of blood that trickled down on his lips. However, the pain and sting that I felt only lasted for a few seconds. The wound on my shoulder disappeared by itself. I wasn’t the one who closed the wound, the wound was closed after Amadea kissed me.

(I love you)

I heard Amadea’s voice in my head. It buzzed and echoed vividly. I frowned, feeling it was strange because Amadea’s voice didn’t seem to be coming through my ears.

In my confusion, Amadea just smiled. He covered my ears.

(You can already hear my voice now)

I saw his lips that were smiling all the time.

"How could that be?"

(Because you and I are already bonded now, Cecillia. Our bond are fully formed)

Again, Amadea’s voice echoed inside my head.

"Oh..."

(I love you)

I touched Amadea’s hand, which cupped my face. I released it so I could hug him tightly.

"Amadea, I love you too."
