Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 70: Kidnapped
When the kiss still didn’t come after he closed his eyes for a while, Ronan opened his eyes again to see what Arielle was doing. He was surprised to see she was having trouble untying the cloth wrapped around her body.
"Er... Tania tied my dress too tightly," Arielle said with a nervous laugh.
"Need help?"
"I think so," she replied. "Thank you."
Ronan then turned Arielle’s body around and untied the cloth. It was wrapped around the sleeves and Arielle’s belly so that Arielle’s dress wouldn’t get wet or dirty from getting stained with the red frostberry juice.
"Done," said Ronan as he handed the cloth to Arielle.
The girl turned around and signaled the king to bow. Ronan, who had taken off his mask, closed his eyes again for the kiss.
Again, it wasn’t a kiss from Arielle that he got. His face was wrapped in the cloth instead.
"What does this mean?" asked Ronan, who was confused about why Arielle suddenly wrapped the cloth around his face.
Arielle smiled widely and grabbed Ronan’s collar to come closer. Their faces were so close, if Ronan wanted to, he could untie the cloth and start kissing the girl.
"I’ll kidnap you," whispered Arielle, right in the king’s face.
"Kidnap?"
The girl nodded excitedly.
"You want to kidnap me?" asked Ronan again, a little unsure of what the girl wanted.
"Hm-hm, this is coercion. You can’t refuse." Arielle looked serious with her words. But Ronan didn’t answer, which made the girl worried.
"Can you play along with it?" she asked quietly with a little pleading.
Those sparkling eyes were enough to make Ronan speechless. The man wondered, did Arielle consciously do it? If so, then the girl should feel happy because right now Ronan wanted to give everything to the girl if she asked him.
However, he still wanted to tease her.
"What if I tell you I have other work at the moment?" asked Ronan and challenged Arielle with a small smile.
"Is that true?" Arielle lowered her head and took a step back.
This was not the reaction he was hoping for.
"Maybe I’ll find another time that is more appropriate to kidnap you," added Arielle.
Ronan was a little disappointed because he thought the girl would enforce her will. But, Arielle was too kind to be a criminal who would kidnap a king, thought Ronan. Just thinking about it made him almost laugh out loud.
"I was only joking. You can kidnap me now," said the king.
Arielle’s sullen face turned bright again.
"Really? You’ll give me permission?"
Ronan chuckled at the ridiculous question just now. Even so, Ronan still nodded.
"I will," he replied.
Arielle grabbed her victim’s hand and led Ronan out of the backyard. They passed Sebastian and William, who were already waiting by the door. William, who was ready to leave for the border, was confused by Arielle, who dragged the king away.
Sebastian motioned for the people to return to the backyard to continue their work. William himself followed the king.
"Your Majesty, your horse is ready," he said.
"Good," said Ronan.
The man took off his royal red coat and asked for the black coat of a knight on guard. Arielle smiled at William while she waited for the king to change his coat.
"William, I have permission to kidnap His Majesty for a moment," said Arielle with a sweet smile.
It makes William bat his eyes in confusion. "Huh? Kidnap? Wasn’t it—"
"William, shut up! I’m the victim here. Can’t you see how fierce the face of this criminal is?" Ronan cupped Arielle’s smiling face and turned it towards William.
The king’s assistant was too confused by what had happened. His head felt empty of words.
"Er... w-what about the conflict in the West?" asked William who suddenly became unsure whether or not the king remembered their main purpose for traveling here.
Ronan lifted Arielle’s body to get on the horse first, then turned to William. His gentle gaze just now suddenly turned sharp in an instant. He whispered to William so that Arielle wouldn’t hear him. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
"You can handle it yourself. One head for each wounded northerner. I’ll be there tomorrow morning to make sure no more westerners possess the northern lands."
William nodded in understanding.
"I-I understand," answered the man. "And–"
William lifted his face. He knew that sharp gaze. Ronan did not want the conflict to be resolved in a negotiation.
"I need a body to warn Coley and the west," Ronan ordered firmly.
Again William nodded.
Ronan turned and got on his horse.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," the man said to Arielle in a very soft voice, his actions made William’s eyebrows rise.
The horse soon left the manor yard. William scratched his ear because he felt he heard wrong. How could a person change personality in an instant? Also, what made William could not understand was, since when did the man learn to use the word sorry?
William glanced at a knight holding the king’s royal cloak who was also looking at him. Maybe the knight also felt strange with the attitude of the king, who they knew was cold all this time.
William cleared his throat. "You see... this kidnapping case should only be a secret between us. Got it?"
The knight nodded and handed William the king’s coat. William let out a long sigh.
"Princess, you are really bad at picking victims," the man muttered.

Ronan took his horse out of the manor and headed towards the village.
Frostmount Village was a large and bustling village, such that Arielle could meet different kinds of people there. Almost all houses had opened their own businesses, there was some selling food, providing lodging, or warm water baths.
The streets were also crowded with people carrying goods. Some were carried by arms, some were carried by carts. Arielle looked back over her shoulder. She could see the king’s manor from her place. It was so beautiful, surrounded by trees with white leaves.
