Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 91: Riel
"But Princess.... His Majesty the King has given a message for you to take the rabbit later. He still has an important meeting with Priest Elis," Lucas said soothingly.
"Really? Will they both be okay?" muttered Arielle, who was still worried.
Lucas smirked. He completely understood the princess’s concern. Princess Arielle must have thought there would be a war between the two. The king who hated animals was probably trying to push the rabbit away, while for the rabbit, Arielle was worried if her little rabbit was bullied by the king.
"You needn’t worry. His Majesty himself invited your rabbit as his little guest."
"Is that true?" asked a doubtful Arielle. That didn’t sound like someone who hated animals at all, but she knew Lucas couldn’t possibly be lying either.
Arielle tried not to think about it. Perhaps as much as Ronan hated animals, he would not have the heart to hurt them. Yes, the man was still kind and not unreasonable.
"You rest first, Princess. Your journey must have been very tiring," Lucas said.
Arielle decided to return to her room. She immediately turned around, and the rabbits surrounding her also followed Arielle.
After some time, Arielle became bored and tired of playing with her rabbits. They were so energetic and she was indeed exhausted from the trip. She took the canvas to continue the painting of the king that had not been completed.
She brought the easel and canvas out of the balcony. Because her room was upstairs, she didn’t allow the rabbits to come out of the balcony for fear that they might fall from it.

In the king’s study, Priest Elis had come with Namina, the latter was to testify about what happened at Frostmount a few days ago.
"That’s right, Master. I didn’t feel any mana flow from the body of the princess or the girl named Junia," said Namina.
"Even when I stabilized the princess’s body temperature. I did it with the energy from the outside," added the teenager. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Priest Elis thought for a moment. Ronan sat comfortably in his chair as he waited for the man’s answer. The little bunny on his lap had long since fallen asleep, and his hands couldn’t stop but stroke its white fur.
The rabbit’s white fur was reminiscent of Arielle’s white hair, so a little while ago, Ronan had assigned the name Riel to the rabbit.
Priest Elis tried to explain that what happened at Mount Birwick, or what happened to Arielle, was just a random phenomenon that could happen to anyone. "I myself have tried to research the books left by the past Priests, and nothing can really answer this phenomenon, Your Majesty."
He added, "Even the medical records for the man who was treated by the Cathedral during your great-grandfather’s time also say that there is nothing to retrieve from that man. That’s why when that guy disappeared, your grandfather didn’t issue another search. They assumed that maybe the man just happened to be in the same place as the earlier phenomenon."
Ronan tapped his fingers. He was considering whether he should give Priest Elis permission to access the restricted section of the library or not.
The innermost part of the library contained old manuscripts that were starting to get dusty due to the fragile parts of the building. It was a section that only kings could enter to write their diaries each day, taking notes on what happened at Northendell.
He himself had never entered the room. For him, there was nothing to learn from them. When he was the Crown Prince, he often peeked at his father who was in that room.
Back then Ronan used to pretend that he was reading a book in the library, and when the king arrived, he would stalk from behind just to see what was inside the room.
After he became king, Ronan tried to satisfy his curiosity. And apparently, he found that there was nothing special there except that it contained piles of diaries of kings.
Ronan stopped coming there after reading the fifth king of Northendell’s diary who always praised his soul mate there. For Ronan, who was full of formidable king idealism at the time, the diary disgusted him.
Ronan closed his drawer which contained the key to the library’s restricted section. He decided to check back later.
"Okay, you can go back to the Cathedral. Tomorrow I will bring Arielle for you to check in more detail," said Ronan.
He also returned the paper report from Priest Elis, it contained the progress of the cathedral while he went to the western border, there was nothing amiss.
After that, Priest Elis and Namina left. Ronan heard another knock on the door of his office. William appeared with piles of letters as well as Kael, who seemed disinterested in William’s jokes about the strange rabbits that roamed the palace with Ronan.
William invited Kael to enter the room.
"See for yourself... Tada...!" cried William as he gestured to Ronan, who was still seated in his chair with a little rabbit on his lap.
Ronan, who didn’t understand William’s enthusiasm, ignored the man and greeted Kael, who had just arrived.
"How are you?" Ronan asked Kael.
Kael stopped his steps in surprise when he saw a white furry object that slept on the king’s lap. The man reflexively held his sword, which made William burst out into laughter.
Ronan, who was irritated by William’s sense of humor, clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"William, this is the last warning. You open your mouth without my orders again and you will go back to sleep in the stables," Ronan threatened. William finally forced himself to stifle his laughter.
Kael still looked confused. He glanced at William, who took a deep breath then exhaled again. The man was trying to suppress his laughter. After William’s few sessions of laughter were over, Ronan turned to Kael.
"We can withdraw soldiers from the western border. Thank you for your hard work. Sorry for not involving you in the meeting with Petra and Duke Coley," said Ronan, who then gave the order to withdraw soldiers to Kael.
"Thank you, Your Majesty," the man said stiffly.
