Master Of None-Chapter 2586. Successful Mapping
Chapter 2586: 2586. Successful Mapping
"This is amazing. There are countless trees we can have enhanced. Just by allowing the right mage to sense and look through this map, we are even seeing that there are powerful beings nearby this area of concentrated earth mana!" This was just one of the first of those brought in to watch and observe the massive global map.
The wandering blacksmith, Abe, and Jan were all still sitting and resting. They had left to clean themselves and sleep a little, however, they had not stayed away for long. They had wanted to see the results as Walker traveled.
They were immersed in what the sensory and the archivist were saying. Some of the team who had already been brought in were map makers with skills that allowed them to be able to focus on the technology developed. Some were those who used magic skills to create shifting maps.
Walker had seen and used maps that would record where someone traveled. He had even received similar things from the system and methods to produce similar magical maps. Hoover, this would not last the same as this.
"There are some slight issues, the range seems to increase and decrease based on the user. Here we see the changes in Alma using the map and Walker using the mapping orb. Both of them are of different innate affinities and mana control." One of the mages thought that what they were seeing had been an error.
Yet, as they focused they realized that the mana of the one holding and using the small mapping orb was different. Meaning that someone with better skills would ensure that more area was mapped faster compared to someone who was of less skill.
"We have a complete map of the road to the elven forest. We also have an updated set of evidence of the construction effort. We can even guess what materials they needed delivered before they needed it. A quick communication with their foreman and we will have a full order placed in half the time!"
One of the assistants that managed the current road building and repair efforts was ecstatic to see and hear this. They had been struggling keeping the orders up to date on a day to day basis. It was simply because they had to sift through the requests but now she could manage the different aspects of each building sight much faster. All she would need was this information constantly. Something she could get with a little bit of the funds that they had for transportation and communication in their budget. It was a fair use as well.
"What about the mana? We can see it all, there is mana showing there might be a small cluster of herbs here attracting light mana. Then we have another that seems a little dense in earth mana so we might have a hidden ore or earth mana crystal vein there." The details were so shocking to the mage that spoke out that he couldn’t even write his notes down softly, his paper tore making everyone feel that they might just not be amazed enough.
"You should all understand the gravity of what you are seeing. I will be selecting new attendants to specifically handle all communication from this location to others. You will have to hand them the right letters and make sure that we know the speed at which you need to communicate these pieces of information. At night the batmen who joined our communication guild will also be prepared."
The woman that spoke up to silence all the awe was yet another harpy. She served under the harpy queen but she also somewhat separated herself since she had taken a leadership role within the communication guild as a manager of people. Assigning additional carriers to handle the information here specifically was perfect.
While the room fell in to a small buzz of communication, everyone halted when they noticed the condensed earth mana shown by the global map change. "The mana is dissipating but one bit of it is still moving. I would say that is Walker’s work, he must be moving the cause of the mana, it wasn’t stagnant mana at all!" Now everyone had their own theories until they saw a sudden communication crystal.
It wasn’t just one race’s mages and workers here, there were a few elves who had been working closely with this project and stationed here knowing that Alma would be reaching out sooner than later. "Our lady Alma has let me know that Walker found an ancient flower blooming that only bloomed in highly dense earth mana. It kept the earth mana in one place to bloom. It will be moved elsewhere for the forest elves or for Genesis to research. Until then, we will watch as the mana dissipates and the forest elves will have an additional small mapping orb to map their city and surrounding territories. Sir Walker and Lady Alma will be proceeding to the nearest bridge to the elemental planes." fгeewёbnoѵel_cσm
While it was a lot to say, Alma’s assigned attendant made it clear that there would be even more information for everyone to begin recording. learning the ins and outs of this new magic tool was nothing simple. Everyone who had been brought here was only the beginnings of a major team who would be working on this at all times. There would be staff here no matter the hour of the day.
"I am enjoying this very much. I want to see more." The voice that broke from the shadows was none other than Mordant. He felt that this magic tool was well beyond what he expected. He felt he could look down at the entire world.
Even if the entire world was not this small, he felt that this magic tool would one day be an eye in the sky for everyone who wished to understand the depths of the world itself. "One day, this might even map the elemental planes." His soft words of awe made everyone whisper and go silent.
The magnitude of what he had just said was beyond them. The elemental place shifted. They changed. They were always balanced and moving. Yet, the tools they use might already exist to map these always moving places. There may be a way to have temporary methods of knowing areas within the elemental planes. Especially for the areas where villages, cities, and important figures are placed. All that they would have to worry about were the in between points.
"I think you should start small. Let’s just map the world." A slight glimmer grew in the room as Rise walked down the corridor and in to the hall. She looked at the map and at Mordant. "I sometimes feel that the way I look at this is how I see the world normally. Now it is much different. Clearer."
She was smiling slightly. Mordant was a bit too stunned though. Rise had been in isolation and away for some time. Yes she had worked with the cathedral and the healers. She had guided the light affinity angels and many others. But overall Rise had been absent to many of the larger events.
Some of it was due to how she had helped with Walker and how she had absorbed a massive amount of light mana. Yet, Mirdant sensed something more. Rise had taken on a telling pressure. One that told him she was beyond the normal for what she should have as a light dominator dragons.
"You calmed your light mana even more and learned a new form of light mana?"
"You are right, I learned to separate my light mana in to different pieces. Colors and light are so very connected. When I broke it in to more pieces, I realized that light mana is a united form of all light mana. It is seen differently because some things can not reflect all that light is. That means I can alter the properties of light depending on the kind of light magic I use. You should feel the same, healing with dark mana is also true to form with decaying with dark mana."
Rise was smiling a little more now. She had decided to step back in to things after her growth. Seeing this map she felt that she had a goal to achieve. She could carry many with her to map the lands faster. She could use her light mana as needed too, she was teaching many already, why not teach them to use it to travel and explore. She preferred being high in the sky anyways.
"Maybe I will have to take an adventure out in to the wilderness too then." Mordant knew exactly what Rise was thinking. He did not want to let Rise’s achievements and breakthroughs surpass him.
Call that a dragon’s pride, but it was all good news.
