Chapter 2589: 2589. More Mixing

While he watched the entire grand mapping hall move, Waller was partially trying to understand the flow of information. How the hall would function and if he had to help, he would assure anyone would be brought it that could fill a niche position.

He was also clearly resting a bit, everyone had seen Walker sit with a contemplative face knowing that it was both the new magic tool on his mind and also the lengthy process of mapping the entire world in his shoulders.

Besides all this, Mordant and Rise noticed that Walker was subtly pulling a little mana to him here and there. They wanted to sit and speak more but they also knew that they were trying to set this entire place up. For Mordant to be so focused and distracted from the various tasks he had been interested in, meant a lot.

However, Walker did make a very strong mental note that Rose had returned herself back from focusing just on light mana and healing along with her own development. For a dragon to isolate so much meant that they were trying to recover or grow again. For Rise, it had been both, but it had made many worry about her and the future. The other races were not used to dragons self isolating for lengthy periods of time.

Some dragons could isolate for a few years at a time through, the growth in mana and those who passed along or inspired insights was why the dragons had been isolating themselves less and less for shorter times. They didn’t need to focus and struggle for breakthroughs in their growth. They had so much potential here.

It was a massive leap ahead for a young dragon’s life. They would be able to grow stronger earlier which in turn would allow them opportunities deemed impossible for them generations prior. Hence why some were now alchemy dragons, guard dragons, one was even learning to commune with the elemental spirits being called a water spirit taming dragon. The classes were unknown and amazing to consider.

Walker dwelled on the next set of rewards for the third link in the chain quest.

The quest entirely focused on travel between the world and the elemental planes. A very good thing since many wished to travel there or to the world from the elemental planes. It was a sure fire way to bring change and growth for races within and outside of both sides of the bridge. There might still be those that go looking for new homes. The elemental planes shifting were still risky and dangerous since the balances were not perfect or permanent.

The world’s bonds with the elemental planes would help with that balance and slower shifting though. It could keep more races safe to develop and travel. Something which Walker felt was why the rewards were focused on resistance training, potions for elemental resistances, and even further enhancing the quest granting skill.

Walker believed that he would be able to grant quests to more than just simple travelers and simple quests to them come the end of this third link. He also had the feeling that a few powerful forces within the elemental planes might make a point to travel or to send those they trusted to travel through the bridges. Especially if it was the will of existence that these major world quests for Walker were appearing.

There was also the idea that there would be more quests naturally appearing for travelers to explore. To discover aspects of the world and elemental planes. Just the boom in exploration will be so major in maybe just a month or two that it would be hard to imagine what else could be done here.

It did feel odd, the herbal knowledge and potion based knowledge for resistance potions made Walker feel that he would need to focus highly on this. He also wondered if it would be better if Remey was rewarded with this. Why would he be the better person to gain this reward than her?

But if he was getting it, then he could consider a few other possibilities.

The rewards he had gotten so far were ideal for him because of the work he was doing and that needed to be done for the overall benefits of all races. Now it felt that the things he was gaining would be perfect for the travelers to the elemental planes.

"Or for those coming here." His murmuring was a solid realization that the races leaving a specific elemental plane had a high chance of being stuck within Genesis or another location because of the elemental planes shifting.

There was also the fact that races within the elemental planes were only able to survive and had been part of one singular elemental mana forever. That was how their race developed and evolved.

Other manas would be dangerous for them. Anyone from the fire elemental plane would be in danger not because of anyone but because there was naturally ambient water mana would clash with their internal mana.

That meant that these potion knowledge and herb knowledge would be able to be used to help travelers from the elemental planes.

If that was the case there would be a safer way for races unknown to Genesis to visit and build relationships. Not just those who might migrate to Genesis because the manas here were more welcoming and calm compared to the dangers of the elemental planes.

Walker fully believed now that the rewards were not for him or anyone specifically in Genesis. They were for him to be able welcome travelers coming to the world to help keep them safe.

With the additions to each elemental plane from

The work of the origin beings bringing more planes to join the existing planes. Their work cause some more shifting and dangers which in turn cause races and monsters to be displaced. Finding ways to allow them to visit the world and find safety or even get acclimated would be a major focus for this new tourism or traveling in general.

It would also be required for how they would continuously adapt and survive. Beyond this, the knowledge of manas mixing together he was going to gain might be invaluable to helping races come here.

There was a chance that those with singular affinities from these other unknown races would awaken hidden or completely new affinities for them. Their race could have been migratory and had different affinities locked away within their bloodline. There would be a lot of development as new races appeared as travelers.

He also considered the true sages. Each would want to see and hear about safety measures being taken. If they did not there would be powerful beings brought to stop any travel between the world and the elemental planes. That was just a current fact everyone had to accept.

Taking a deeper breath, Walker changed his focus. If he was going to understand how manas may mix and be dangerous to these unknown races, he should meditate now before he continues bringing the small mapping orbs to each bridge. His meditation would only be focused on the mixing of manas and nothing more so he could keep the time short.

Just as he closed his eyes, he felt the manas being shown on the grand global map. This amazing creation was also ideal for witnessing the mixing of focused manas in natural terrain.

Walker’s senses spread out and he felt an immediate pull. Not to any singular mana but to the ground, to a small spilled drink that new being cleaned up.

The earth mana in the stone floor and that water mana mixed together. Just enough to make the dust in the floor tint the water a different color but for the two manas to mix ever so slightly. To change their properties so that another form of manas could be utilized.

Considering that even the tiniest mixing of water to earth was enough to create a new form of mana, Walker felt foolish. He knew the ratios were specific and focused but not to such a high degree that even one percent of one mana and ninety nine percent of another would make a whole new type of mana. If he had considered this, he might be able to develop.

The expanse of possibilities he’d had for mixing manas and discovering their natural states within the world was larger than he’d allowed his mind to contemplate. Now he could begin to understand even more varied affinities and classes amongst the many mixing races and what might appear as time goes on.

It felt more like this enlightenment was just existence telling him he was being too closed minded. He didn’t mind that though.
