Chapter 2603: 2603. Meeting Radiant Light

Alma had chosen a long white dress with green flower and leaf runic patterns sewn in to it. While the runes were of multiple elemental manas, it was more guided towards water, earth, and light so that it would help her grow plants better. Her entire arrival felt planned since Walker could see that she was clearly prepared to meet the radiant light elves for this meeting.

While her eyes scanned the radiant light elves who now focused on her, Alma also glanced at Walker and Gil. She seemed confident that there would be nothing that they could not handle. Yet, she also appeared to be looking for confirmation that they would be right there beside her.

It was understandable, this was a meeting unexpected by many. There was sure to be some stress over everything.

"My name is Alma, I am glad to meet you on behalf of the united elven race living within the world." She was quick to greet and did not put any grand shows on about her titles or who she was. It was humble but to the radiant light levels, it was a sign of respect that she was greeting them as she was and showing her care for the leven race as a whole rather than speaking her own stories right away.

"We are the radiant light elves with permission from the true light sage and the greatest lord, king of light allowed to travel here to your plane. We wish to learn of the history left behind by our ancestors when they began striving for the light above all else. We have put aside and lost many things about our past. We hope to relearn them and see them as what they are. Justify who we are now to them."

This was a little more than what Walker had been told. The simple phrase, justifying who we are now, made it seem that the radiant light elves were thinking that they had strayed too far. That they might be in the wrong compared to who they could be. It made him wonder what may have happened that would cause this train of thought.

"You may speak and learn of the elves and what we know. You may also learn of Genesis. Every race is welcome here as long as peace is the goal. We have gardens of herbs, fields of food, towers of magic, guilds of every craft and career, and we have people. So many races with their own unique traits to learn from and to teach."

Saying that it didn’t sound as if Alma practiced this would be wrong. She sounded like an ideal leader who has practiced these things many times over. It was amazing seeing how she was acting and what she was able to demand in terms of a leader. Attention remained focused on her, more so, the attention of the radiant elves who were clearly still somewhat jarred due to the differences the world possessed to the light elemental planes they are used to.

As Alma waved a hand, a few more tables were brought out. It seemed that she had a similar idea to the elder dragons were were resting and drinking tea. Sitting to relax would be an ideal way to get to know one another. "We have tea with primarily light affinity herbs used. It should be easier for you to consume if you would like."

The tea that Alma had brought was one that Remey had made for some of the light healers. It enhanced light mana absorption by a slight margin while also allowing for some purification properties due to the herbs being used. Some of the herbs were used in medicines for those affected by poison, and even used in purification potions used to help other medicines completely cure and purify a poison or venom.

"We can sustain ourselves with light mana or light affinity fruits and vegetables. We have long stopped eating monsters due to their less pure manas. However, I can smell the tea you speak of, it speaks of the growth of an herb, the absorption of light, and the struggle to gain a higher purity. I would say, the scent is more than enough for us to enjoy."

The radiant light elves were not being rude, they were being cautious. They understood that they may ingest things with other elemental manas within that could be harmful to their bodies. Since that was the case, they were making sure they learned more before they drank or ate anything.

It was useful to know that the radiant light elves had changed their culture. They only ate plants for the most part. Meaning that they had become a little more peaceful in a way. Yet, Walker also felt that could have been before of the balance needed to be maintained within the elemental planes.

The radiant light elves had a lot of strength, if they were to hunt many monsters they could cause some damage to the balance within the light elemental plane. Therefore, if they fully relied on plants more and more, eventually they just became a race that sustained themselves on them. It was similar to the forest elves who hunted some but mostly relied on vegetables and foraged herbs.

"Then in that case I look forward to inviting you to visit our herbalists. We have various greenhouses created to grow elemental herbs and foods. Some are for testing while others are for sale to all of Genesis and the kingdoms allied with us." The conversation quickly moved to the different experimental herbs and foods.

"I would like to offer a trade as well." When this was uttered by one of the radiant light elves, Alma focused on them. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

The radiant light elf was a little thinner than the others, she seemed more delicate. However, the small pouches she removed from her robes proved that she had some strength about her.

"Upon the last great shift, and so with this one, I hold the seeds of people. The generations of effort to foster them brought us these seeds and I wish to trade some with you to bring new potential in to our crops for our young."

Great shift caught Walker’s attention. He knew exactly what it meant. When the elemental planes shifted and changed enough to displace even some of the strongly anchored area. Right now the elemental planes were experiencing that as well.

The origin beings were bringing more small elemental planes to unite with the greater elemental planes. This was causing the elemental planes to grow, to shift, in ways that many generations of monster or intelligent race had never seen in their lifetimes. With this came loss of homes or migrations of dangerous monsters. So many other dangers came as well.

This meant that the radiant light elves may be experiencing some upheaval. Searching for knowledge of their past so that they may understand how their people once moved to the elemental planes safely. How they may have survived and begun their change to become an entirely different race now known as the radiant light elves.

"We have many experts in farming and alchemy. I also grow plants at a thought." Alma dropped some small seeds and dark green vines leaped out of the earth the moment that they touched it. This show of growth in nature was enough to show strength and majesty to the radiant light elves.

They were able to feel the grandness of what it meant to be able to do so. Alma had grown so much in her understanding of plants and even how nature was one with her very skills. She could temporarily grow plants but now, she could harmonize and help grow plants to her whim that would last much longer. These were not for battle but for the growth of all things around them.

The elemental trees for instance.

"We will be able to learn a great deal. We must procure quick and easy growing plants for our people’s future." The elf with seeds stepped back clearly excited to learn more. A keeper of their seeds seemed to be an important role that ensured food for all within their race.

"I will not request an exchange of magic. I understand there are many forms now for your unified race. We look for the original magics. Those that formed our bloodline even before it grew and evolved." This was the crux of the issue at hand.

The radiant light elves searching for their origin so that they may be able to learn more. So that they may be able to adapt to their own changing terrain.

"Then may I interject there?" Gil stepped forward again. He was one of the first to reclaim something of the high elves, part of their ancient history. If anyone were to delve in to this conversation it should be him. Alma and other may have obtained their high elf bloodline hidden within, but he had spent the time to truly explore it as it was today. Not only as the first, but because he had been human to start.

He had been curious and still was.
