"Agreed. I feel like killing them and dumping their bodies in acid so they never get to see the light of day again," Jungwoo said sinisterly, his voice acting the attention on Kaiei Seto who turned to carefully look at the young prince, with cold eyes.

Kaia was a calculative bastard and he hasn’t gotten to where he was because he was the angel of them all. But the fact that he could be a direct threat to his woman, one that he was certain Rania had heard too, was making him wait to murder the young prince.

"No, Kai, don’t pay much attention to him. He wants that," Rania said to Kaia just in time to stop the barbarian from going to her ex-mate.

She knew that none of the prisoners were happy with her, but she refused to feed their anger and the fact that they were so mad at her that they were waiting for a perfect opportunity, but Rania wasn’t going to focus on that.

"But—"

"You said tonight is about us, right? Let’s focus on us then," Rania said as she and Kaia danced the night away. They looked like they were having the time of their lives even though there was so much tension between them.

"Fine," Kaia responded begrudgingly but not before he sent a look their way, one that reminded them that the more they tried to fuck with his woman, the more they would have to face his wrath and none of that was ever going to be pretty.

So the rest of the evening, Kaia and Rania interacted with the other wolves, dancing, and talking to their friends and other acquaintances. It was interesting and a given because of how everything was.

"Good evening Incayon, I trust everyone has had some good fun so far. There have been long nights and days for the past three months and I am just glad that we get to get a free day in which we unwind.

"The celebrations have been beautiful and I truly hope that we all have had fun. This was a good chance for us to try and forget what has happened over the past three months and even the loss of the Luna we went through last night.

"The circumstances have been dire and as the alpha who was in charge of the pack for the past months, I would just like to let you know how proud I am of you.

"You guys went through the worst of shit and still managed to triumph. For that, I wouldn’t think of any other team that could have pulled this off. You did well, all of you. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"And you deserve all the love and happiness you get here tonight," Dalrae greeted the wolves and they just stared at her, listening to every word she said as they tried to understand what she was saying.

The past few months had truly been hectic and the fact that Dalrae acknowledged that for them, reminded them that they had never truly been alone in the war. Sure, there were times when they wanted to do everything including giving up, but they had managed to hold on.

War was never a good time, especially for the children, and yet as the adults remained here, they couldn’t deny the fact that many of them had learned a lot.

The Incayon children had gone to bed at exactly nine o’clock as was the custom.

It was the one tradition that had been non-negotiable and with the celebration that was as risky as they once were, the kids were kept in a safe place, one that was known only to their parents and the elites.

Even the warriors didn’t know where the kids were, because they didn’t need to, in the event that a war broke out tonight and the kids were caught in the crossfire. It was almost sad that they had to be ready for all that at this time.

"Tonight we celebrate two things. The birthday girl and her new unique and very surprising union!" Dalrae said six hours into the night when the celebrations had been at its peak.

Everyone they had eaten and had the fun of their lives, as they waited for the midnight moon to confirm what they all knew, and it wasn’t even shocking anymore.

Now that they were sure of it, there was no point in holding back and the floor was officially open to everyone, and more than anything, it was to the birthday girl of the night.

"I want to take this chance to welcome the prettiest girl of the night, the strongest and most selfless warrior of Incayon, the girl who has done so much in the name of her love for Incayon, and the woman who would ever leave Incaon unattended and insecure.

"Help me welcome my dearest sister, my only confidant, and my best friend in the whole universe, my guardian, and my lovely sweet sister, Alpha Kim Rania!!!" Dalrae shouted with excitement and everyone sheered on excitedly.

It really was hard not to love Kim Rania. It was hard not to embrace her for the woman she was and for the person she had been.

She was their light and they couldn’t deny it. Maybe in another life when everything went well, they would be able to face their reality and embrace the fact that life was always going to give them a few different shades of everything.

The Incayon wolves looked happy and female, and Kim Rania loved it. It was a sight that she wanted to reign in and she wished silently that this would be the day that they started living better lives, right?

"You sure?" Kaia asked, as if to make sure that his mate was not getting into something she hadn’t been prepared for.

He was determined to protect her and if he had to do that from her own people, then she would without a second thought. He wouldn’t have to worry about any consequences along the way anyway.

"Yes, I am. I have to do this. I have you with me anyway, no one would be able to do anything," Rania said to Kaia in reassuring thoughts, knowing that so much could go wrong with that little stage.

She was sure that a portion of the Incayon wolves didn’t want her back home, and that the sooner she left the sooner they would be with their peace, but that didn’t matter right now.

The only thing that Kim Rania wanted was to make sure that everything would be okay for her people.

"Thank you, Incayon," Rania said when the voices quietened and the focus was on her.

"I don’t know how to thank you for making this a beautiful night. But I will just make you a promise, the promise to protect Incayon with all my life, just like I always have done. Thank you for understanding and letting me, a stray wolf back home.

"I still have much to prove to you, but on my birthday, all I have to say is thank you for bearing with me. Thank you for understanding me. thank you for not kicking me out," Rania said before letting out a chuckle.
