Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 305: His Love, Her Light [3]
[RANIA]
"Good evening, Incayon. We are gathered here to celebrate a god that one of us expected but also a bond that is a gift from the moon goddess herself.
"Standing here, I would like to call forward the unexpected mates of all time, Kaisei Chihiro Seto, and Kim Ra Nia," Odelia said when everything had been settled.
She didn’t have time to waste because she knew that without this, so many things would go wrong and she could see the anxiety in the crowd.
Something was about to happen and she needed to officiate the mating bond as soon as possible because that wasn’t just the reason she came back home. She came with terrible news, but that would wait, right?
"Standing here, before everyone, do you Kaisei, and Rania, accept the mate bond, and everything that comes with it? Do you swear to be each other’s support, however unconventional things may get?
"Do you swear to be by each other’s side, never leaving your hands until the end of time? Do you promise to be loyal to your bond and to everything that is for you, together and more than anything, do you swear to protect each other from known and unknown dangers?" Odelia asked and Rania looked at her curiously.
These were words that weren’t to be rushed. But the fact that Odelia had decided to put them all in one setting, meant that something was coming.
Rania knew that there had to be more, but this wasn’t the place to ask questions. It was like Odelia wanted them to make it right now and finish this once and for all.
"Yes, I do," Rania responded.
"I do, I always have and I always will," Kaia responded and Odelia didn’t waste any time, grabbing their hands in a quick motion, and trying them together, making Kaia raise a brow too.
However, Odelia shook her head as if to tell him that they needed to be done with this as soon as possible. If anything, the midnight moon was already up.
"Then, in that case, I Odelia, troll of the realm, pronounce you mates and beloved. You may mark each other, right here, and right now," Odelia said proudly, though she added the last bit in warning, and the two didn’t hesitate to sink their teeth in each other’s flesh on the shoulder.
It wasn’t an ideal way to make one another, especially since the marks were supposed to be given when they were on a high and on their first night as mates. But then they didn’t seem to have the time for that.
"Oh, thank goodness," Odelia breathed when she saw the skies darkening, and the skies rumbling so loudly. She knew it wasn’t because of the bond that had just been made by Kaia and Seto, but because someone had been playing dirty with the wolves of Incayon.
"Everyone, back to your homes!!! Lock the damn doors unless you want to be involved in the war. The prisoners, make your way to the dungeons and even think of running, or I will unleash a hell on you that no one has ever thought of yet,’’ Odelia warned, just when Rania and Kaia were releasing their fangs from each other’s shoulders.
They each lapped at their necks, making sure to clean off the blood. It was obvious that they had changed with the mating bond, but it was sad that they still had chaos to deal with.
Then again, they weren’t exactly the most conventional of mates; so it was quite weird to expect that their mating bond would be as unique as the others.
Well, it was unique again, because instead of people celebrating for them, the wolves were running to safety, a setting that got them wondering what the hell was happening.
Then again, with what had just happened in the past few minutes, they didn’t have to ask the questions. If anything, they would think about asking the questions later.
"Is Moonbin okay?" Jungwoo asked again when everyone had left.
His parents and even his sister had gone back to the dungeons but he had been left there because he had more questions. But was it really smart of him to be standing here right now with the chaos that was clearly brewing?
Couldn’t he read the room?
Odelia was about to strangle him when Rania stepped in, right on time.
"He is okay. But you won’t be if you continue standing here for a few more minutes, that much I can guarantee. You can either go back to the dungeons or I would leave you here with Odelia, given that you killed Oshita, her mate.
"She isn’t exactly the person to ask about your mate right now. Make the choice and make it fast," Rania said, making sure to remind the young prince that he really wasn’t welcome in Incayo.
He was a prisoner, he had always been and would always be a prisoner and an empty of the misfits. He had taken something that she shouldn’t have and that wasn’t going to be forgiven by any of them.
"Alright, that much I can see. What is happening anyw—" Jungwoo dared to ask and Chang Wook created a portal and thrust him through it, making her friends stare at him like he was insane. Then again didn’t they want to do that to him in the first place?
Chang Wook had just done it first.
"What? He was talking too much, wasn’t he? You guys saw it too anyway," Chang Wook defended and they just stared at him as if to ask him if that was the only reason but he just shrugged.
"What is Odelia? What happened and why were you in such a hurry?" Rania asked when it was finally just the misfits left at the ceremonial podium.
Everything had been done so fast it was heartbreaking, but at least the wolves had had their fill of the exacerbations, so they couldn’t exactly say that this was a flop anyway. They had made good memories for the Incayon warriors regardless.
"Congratulations on your mating, Rania and Kaia. I didn’t know how else to make sure this happened faster and now that it has, we can relax," Odelia said and Rnaian looked at her with skeptical eyes.
Odelia knew very well how the mating ball was important to Rania and she was the one who wanted to give Rania the best of the memories. But what had just happened was a hurried mating, one that had been there for everyone to see.
Rania was smart enough to know that something was amiss and Odelia coming back wasn’t just because of her birthday as she wanted to. Sure, Rania was glad that Odelaia had come back, but she knew that this wasn’t because Odelia had been feeling nostalgic or shit.
"Something happened out there. Something is happening out there. What is it, Odelia?" Kaia asked and this time, Odelia looked at her friends, like she was worried that this would get so complicated.
But what else could she do other than prepare them for what was coming for them, right?
"War is coming to Incayon," Odelia said and they looked at her like that much hadn’t been obvious.
"You don’t understand. WAR is coming to Incayon. The king called for help from all the Obrene allies, including pack warriors, vampires, and the warlocks of the valley of the Whites. They are coming to Incayon. That is the war that is coming here."
