Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 313: The Impossible Version of Hell
[OBREN]
"We are just requesting answers. We don’t want any trouble, I swear. We have been away from home for a while and when we came back, we were met with emptiness. Obren feels like a hell hole and I’m not sure what happened.
"You guys are the first sign of life we have net in over seventy miles. So please, we come in peace," Bai Ting said and they looked at him skeptically.
They were not sure whether to trust the brothers and they were right to be that skeptical. These weren’t normal brothers and they could mean hell for anyone who truly knew who they truly were, away from Obren.
"Well in that case, if you know what’s best for you, then run. We are also running, because the butcher is after us," the representative said and Nate looked at him like he needed to explain more.
"You really have no idea, do you?" the representative said and Nate just shrugged as if he was completely new to the situation.
Well, he really was.
Other than the fact that he was aware that Kim Rania was behind the chaos, he had no clue of what he was too explicit about and even how he needed to go about it. It was truly just a matter of time before everything made no sense.
The night was bright, but there were shallow clouds forming as if to tell everyone that there was a pending disaster. So much was going on and it was no surprise that the brothers were confused.
"I’m Garam and this is my brother, Sujin. We just came back home and found silence. What happened, if you don’t mind?" Nate asked and the representative looked at them skeptically.
They were getting late to wherever they were headed, and right now standing here with the vampire brothers wasn’t exactly what they had had in mind.
"I’m Ilsun, and these are the remaining wolves on this side of the kingdom. We are going to any of the endearing packs that haven’t been conquered yet.
"Calindra was brought down and any pack could be next," Ilsun said and the brother still stared at them. There was so much that they couldn’t tell by just looking at Ilsun and his wolf friends, but one thing was certain.
They were running from something, or rather, someone; the same someone they had come to make sure didn’t mess them up.
However, the only question right now was whether they would be able to face that truth too. Whether they would be able to find the one person who could fix them and more than anything, whether they would find the answer that they were seeking at this point.
"Why, what happened? Why are you running?" Nate asked even though he already had the answers.
"Alpha Kim Rania. She is burning down the kingdom and everything in it. She started with Calindra and the palace too.
"We don’t know where she will be attacking next, but most of us think it is better for us to be out of her way before she decides to bring us down like she did with Calindra," Ilsun said, making the brothers sigh for the hundredth time because of that woman.
Whatever the hell Rania had done she had to be at some high level of fucked, for her to mess with this many wolves and have so many fear her like that.
"Wow, she must really be nuts. And why were you avoiding us and asking for mercy earlier?" Bai Ting asked while his brother seemed to be stuck processing the words of the scared wolves.
He truly had a formidable enemy in Rania and if he was going to go after her, they needed Kaia Seto now more than ever.
It was their only saving grace, because if they didn’t have Seto, then the woman who had brought down the kingship would certainly not stop at just Obren. She would burn civilizations to the ground in her anger.
Given that Yanna was a vampire, it wasn’t that hard to know where Kim Rania would strike next.
However, would the vampire king strike before Rania made it to Drarun?
he be able to face the woman and try to pump some sense into her?
But then what sense would be pumping in her when she was already a woman who had stated blood and from the looks of everything, she had loved what she had tasted? There was just no telling what could happen to them at the moment.
Perhaps it was okay for him to hope, right?
"Well, Luna Yanna of Calindra, rest her soul, popped up with more hybrids a few months ago and she wanted to go after Kim Rania.
"Of course, many thought it was absurd, but given what Rania had done to Calindra and the hate they still had for her, they took her offer, only for her hybrids to turn against her when the devil himself came to Calindra. And the rest is history.
"The hybrids terrorized people, and made sure that no one would forget what they had done with Calindra. And once they were done, the immortal army of hybrids took out those hybrids that Yanna had.
"I know it all seems so confusing, but can we continue this while we get away? My friends and I certainly do not want to be on the wrong side of Kim Rania’s wrath at the moment.
"That woman is the kind of crazy that no one has ever seen yet and I wouldn’t want to cross her," Ilsun said as they hurried away.
The Kravoski brothers looked at each other and figured that they could as well follow Ildun and his team, and then, later on, use their vampire speed to get to where they had to be at the moment.
It wasn’t much but they had to know what was happening in the once big kingdom here. They had to understand what they had gotten themselves into, in the quest for a man who had probably even left the realm by now.
Oh, how their desperation to get Yanagida was fucking with them big time.
"Why would she even do that? It’s not like there were so many things that the realm did for her. If anything, everyone knows the woman is a psycho. Don’t tell me no one can put her down, even the royal wolves.
"It just doesn’t make any sense," Nate said as he tried to prod more.
He knew that there were so many things that he wouldn’t be pleased to hear, but he also understood that with all that was happening, there was only so much he could hold back before he was thrust back in.
And that wasn’t exactly going to be the worst that could have happened to him and his brother right?
"Oh well—" Ilsun began before he told the brothers of what had happened and the misfortunes that had befallen Obren.
He made sure to mention that Kim Rania was the one curse that Obren shouldn’t have triggered, and that she was their ultimate doom and at the same time, their salvation; which was not what they expected but then it wasn’t like any of them could go onto the goddess and tell her to take back her disastrous child, right?
"Holy shit," Bai Ting sighed.
"Exactly. By the way, how come you don’t know this and you are a wolf too?" Ilsun asked.
