Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 365: The Consort of Altunia
[RANIA]
"โAll Iโm saying is I come with a lot of baggage, and a bundled mess that no one can exactly deal with other than Rania. Is that a responsibility you wish to take?" Paloma asked and for the first time, everyone was silent. ๐ง๐๐๐๐ธ๐ฆ๐ฃ๐๐๐ท๐๐.๐ค๐ฐ๐
They were taking in what they had just heard and honestly, no that Paloma had spelled it all out. It sure did seem like a lot of work for someone who had frowned upon being taken care of.
"Seems like you forgot I am a Seto, love. I was more worried about you accepting me because of the death and destruction that follow me wherever I go. My brother is an actual saint compared to me and that just makes everything harder for anyone who is bonded to me.
"However, if you will accept me, then I can promise you the safety of the Seto family. Weโre quite unhinged, but I believe we have done worse ourselves as a team. Perhaps that is why we fit together.
"So yes, my queen. I will be your consort," Haru said and everyone stared in disbelief. They were witnessing something that no one had ever imagined. And the fact that Hiro finally admitted that he was worse than his brother was just something else.
If Kaia was a saint, then what did that make his twin? Perhaps they would find a way to go through that together, right? If anything, love and life sure did have a way of bringing the impossible together.
But then it wasnโt something they were going to be complaining about. They had gotten everything they wanted.
They had loved and lived.
They had cherished and adored.
They had been in every stage what people would have desired. It didnโt matter what the world was going to bring with it, what mattered was that they accepted each other with their fates.
"My baby brother is so grown up!!!" Kaia suddenly bellowed, making people let out peals of laughter.
The fact that they were with the Seto brothers and they were slowly learning that beyond their reputation, beyond their murderous tendencies and their causes, were just two men who had grown to love watching other men who had grown to take care of each other on their own.
It was such a wholesome moment and a pure delight, to see the Seto family explained. This was certainly something that many hadnโt ever thought possible, especially with how the brothers had come to Incayon.
But hey, they had made the impossible possible. That much was something that they had to appreciate, no matter what happened to them and with them.
"We finally have a king too!!!" Oshita said, equally overjoyed by what had just happened.
They all knew that this was easily the best and the craziest friend group that ever existed. The misfits were the worst of the world, and yet to their people, they were the best of all the versions people knew out there of them.
That was something that they would always, always cherish.
"This calls for a celebration!" Chang Wook cheered on as he lit up the sky that his sister had already spelled to be a long night.
However, that didnโt matter because the stars would always show there the moon wasnโt going to leave them and more than anything, their happiness was the start of restoring whatever was left of humanity.
Life was good for them all.
"Hold on you barbarians. She hasnโt said yes and youโre rejoicing. What if she rejects the bond?" Dalrae said and her friend started throwing scarves at her for being a pessimist.
What was supposed to be comforting, turned into a fight of pillows, with no one telling where the pillows suddenly appeared, but then it didnโt matter, because they were all having the fun of their lives.
In an hour, Lim Dalrae was covered in a stack of pillows, and her mate, who was supposed to be helping her, was busy smiling at her, and taking photos like it was the best sight of the love of his life that heโd ever seen.
Perhaps this was the madness that came with the wholesome family, but it was one that they were proud to embrace regardless.
Life was a bit of a bitch and they were just making the best of it all. That didnโt make them any different from the normal people out there.
"I am just hungry, you hopeless tarts! The sooner they are, the sooner we can get a feastโ oops, the sooner they say yes, I mean," Dalrae corrected herself as she struggled to breathe.
She was okay though, because everyone could see she was trying to be overdramatic, and they had joined her in, mocking her as they breathed like her, as if to tell Chang Wook that they also needed to consummate their bond.
But had they already done that, or had they waited too, like Rania and her mate?
"Okay fine," Han Seong said after a long while.
The youngest Seto had been holding onto his mate the whole time, even though they had also joined the pillow fight. When the throwing stopped, he reached out to his mate first and was holding onto her like he worried she could disappear.
Then again, there was just no way that she could disappear, especially since she was the one person that everyone he adored. Incautiousness is also still bound by the Seto spell, which no one would be able to break into.
Perhaps he was just being a loving mate who didnโt want to let go so soon, right?
"What will your answer be, my beloved?" Han Seong asked and Paloma heartily smiled at him.
However, he had learned the hard way to hear the words instead of settling for assumptions. That wasnโt how everything was supposed to work. So he would be a patient man.
He would learn to do things like they were expected and more than anything he would fight to hold on to the people that he cared about.
Their future wasnโt always going to be rosy, but at least they were sure that they would be in it together. That was the one thing that mattered more than anything in the world to them anyway.
"Yes. I agree to whatever arrangement is there. As long as we are in this together. I accept your proposal, Haruhito san," Paloma said and Kaia looked at her like she had finally joined the family.
He was so proud of how far they had come. He wanted to embrace her and tell her that she was welcome, but then it was pretty obvious from the beginning.
The Seto Family was solely growing. It was widening and while that was a terrible thing for their enemies, it only wanted to show what bonds meant to the whole world. Their lives had changed for the better.
They had lived what they couldnโt have imagined and while the fates would have thought otherwise, this right here was one of the best things that could have undoubtedly happened to them. Perhaps thereโs a way with them, right?
"Yess!!! We got a king too!โโ The rogues cheered on, the joy of the celebration making them feel like this time they wouldnโt be alone.
They had a Seto on their side.
They had a consort who would do whatever it took to protect them.
They were perfect together and hell be damned, this was the beginning of one of the best yet unexpected relationships ever. But even that was fine, because at the end of the day, they would be one.
"Welcome to Altunia,โโ Oshita officially said, making Han Seong just laugh at them.
Of course, he understood the importance of that and what it would mean to their people.
He knew that the rogues had been alone for so long and they had wished to be complete and the fact that they had someone to be there for them when their queen was tired, was worth every after they had made.
That in itself was the politest reminder that perhaps coming to Incayon for the war, hadnโt exactly been an unhinged idea as many had assumed it was. Well, it was but even then it was one they could fight for, and win.
"Music!!" Dalrae shouted and that was when the mood shifted to an even better one.
Happiness was the one thing that had eluded them in the past years and yet as they sat there all broken from their past experiences, they couldnโt deny that this was how love had chosen them.
They couldnโt deny that even in their brokenness, they found their solace. Life may have been unfair, but no matter what happened henceforth, they wouldnโt be alone.
And so it was that the misfits and the warriors of Incayon went on to continue the party. There Was joy all over and even Daehyun who was in the dungeons could eat them.
Anyone could have thought he would use that Chance to run away, but Daehyun knew that the most lethal state of the misfits was when they were happy.
They may have been relaxed then, but it was the one thing that could ruin him if he so much as tried to make their levied any difficulty.
"At least they are happy," Daehyun said to himself as he found himself standing next to the windows, listening to the music that was so loud.
He wasnโt sure what had happened to his friends, but one thing he was sure of, was that they werenโt in the realm anymore. Perhaps he thought they were in limbo, but then what could be worse than limbo, right?
Maybe they would be fine.
"May the goddess forgive us all for ruining her," Daehyun whispered as he went back to sit in his dungeon. He hoped that it would all be alright. But would it?
