Most Powerful Entity in Academy-Chapter 62: Monster
Raul POV.
I’m back at the academy.
The dungeon reward was good enough.
Depending on how you cleared a dungeon, you’d get either a skill or an artifact.
I got a skill. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Lily’s Fire: Karmic Flame.
Yeah, the name sucks.
Damn, when I learned its name from my mind library, I almost flipped the table.
That name looks like given by a Chinese jade beauty cultivator.
FUCKKK!!
HEYYY THE YOUNG MASTER IN IMMORTAL REALM!
Fuck your ancestor!!!
That’s why Stella kept staring at me.
Because I had a face like I’d eaten shit.
I told her Lily’s story and why no one who entered that dungeon ever returned.
I left out the parts with Gabriel.
I just said I went with a friend. Of course, I told her verbally.
If she’s waiting for a written report, she’ll wait a long time.
"Nice story, but I’m curious about one thing," Stella said.
She swallowed slowly. "Why were you so gentle with the girl?"
I leaned back in my chair. "Hmm, do you really want to know?"
"Yes," she said.
She genuinely couldn’t understand it.
In front of her sat a divine being who had slaughtered countless people, tortured who-knows-how-many.
He approached children with innocence, but the name...
’Did he really care about that child?’ Stella thought.
Raul straightened up. "Then let me tell you a story."
Even Stella started listening carefully.
"Once upon a time, there were two friends: One was Big-Eyed Man, who saw everything but lived in poverty, barely scraping by.
The other was Big-Mouthed Man, always hungry, greedy, wanting to swallow every opportunity.
One night, while both were at home, there was a knock at the door. When they opened it, they saw a dark silhouette: eyes glowing red, voice sweet as honey, a demon.
The demon smiled and spoke: ’Hello, my friends. I have an offer for you. As much fruit, abundance, and wealth as you want... A garden! Branches breaking under the weight of fruit, an eternal paradise garden. In return... just give me your soul. Whoever accepts, the garden will be ready tomorrow morning.’
Big-Eyed Man answered immediately, eyes wide with fear: ’No, never! It’s a trap. I won’t sell my soul to the devil. Get lost!’
The demon shrugged and turned to Big-Mouthed Man: ’And you? Think about it. Those sweet apples, juicy peaches... Wealth, fame. What do you say?’
Big-Mouthed Man’s mouth watered. He jumped at it: ’Yes! Of course! Let’s make the deal! Right now!’
The demon laughed and vanished. ’See you tomorrow.’"
Stella’s ears perked up; she started listening even more intently. "Hmm, what happened next?"
She was listening like a child.
Raul continued:
"The next morning, Big-Mouthed Man woke up to find... his garden transformed into a miracle! Giant trees, branches overflowing with apples, pears, grapes, figs. The scent spread everywhere; even the neighbors couldn’t resist. The man ate, sold, and threw feasts for years. He became rich, his gluttony satisfied.
But Big-Eyed Man was still poor, still hungry. Sometimes he survived on fruit that fell from his neighbor’s garden, watching with envy.
Years passed. The garden grew, but one day... the leaves began to wither. The fruit dried up, the branches cracked. Big-Mouthed Man didn’t even notice; he was so full, his stomach never emptied.
Until one morning, he woke up and looked at his garden... Everything had turned to ash. Barren soil, dead roots.
The man fell to his knees and began to cry: ’Why? Why did I accept? If I hadn’t made this cursed deal... If I hadn’t sold my soul! I wish I had refused, I wish that garden had never existed!’
At the same time, Big-Eyed Man lay in bed, weakened from hunger, sitting helplessly in his own garden: ’I was a fool... I went hungry for years, suffered. Those fruits, that abundance... I wish I had accepted! I wish I had made the deal, I wish I hadn’t suffered so much!’
And so both died filled with regret: one regretting that he accepted, the other regretting that he refused..."
Stella sighed. "So the devil took both their souls, right? One regretted accepting the deal, the other regretted not accepting it... So, Raul, where is Lily in this story? Are you the demon in it?"
Raul shook his head. "No and yes. Think of Lily as Big-Eyed Man. I’m Big-Mouthed Man. The only difference is... I gave the excess to Lily."
"I don’t understand..." Stella said and continued:
"You said yes and no. That mean demon is you. But you meant your Entity identity, right?"
I nodded: "I have two said Stella, the first one is a demon, or you can say an entity, because like the demon in that story, I have everything and make you regret everything. The second hungry man because of Stella.... there is a void inside me and nothing is feeling it up. So I tried to help someone because I, too, have to feel the void inside me."
Stella sighted: "I didn’t know you had such interesting ways of thinking, that’s interesting."
"Thank you," said Raul
But suddenly the door burst open.
It was Professor Cain. "Director Stella, emergency!"
Stella jumped to her feet and slammed the desk. "What now?! Damn it!!"
"Kynar Voss committed suicide," he said.
Stella was shocked: "WHAT??!" she screamed.
fuck, I am sure someone is politing me.
Is that the MF who betrayed me, or is it just a coincidence?
Ahhhhhh damn, all of my plan goes to trash.
I was shocked too. "What did you say..." I stared at Professor Cain.
Cain trembled, even though he didn’t know why, but felt immense power from Raul: "he jumped from the highest building in Academy City."
He jumped.
That Son of Bitch chose the wrong time to commit suicide.
Now that he’s dead, I need a new plan to find the traitor.
Kynar Voss, I will talk to Gabriel and put you in the VIP section of hell!!!!
