Mystic Calling:Stone of Glory-Chapter 182: Nice work, Elyra!
Chapter 182: Nice work, Elyra!
"Be... Behemoth?!!"
"That’s... that’s Balthazar, the Chieftain of the Behemoth clan from the Fury Wasteland! What the hell is he doing here?!"
"Shit... Kaelen, look! Behemoths, Ancient Behemoths, and even a Green Dragon! We’re screwed..."
"Why are they here? Don’t tell me the Behemoths have teamed up with Emerald Castle?!"
"Retreat! All Unicorns and War Unicorns stay behind and cover the escape! Green Dragons, Emerald Dragons—run! You can’t die here!"
"Run! Get out of here, now!!"
...
After the initial shock and terror passed, Pegasus Knight hero Hadrian and Bladedancer Elf hero Kaelen both started shouting frantically.
As trusted lieutenants of King Vaelion of the Night Elves, they knew exactly where their kingdom’s biggest weakness lay: if their Legendary Units—the Emerald Dragons and Green Dragons—were killed, that was it. No resurrection. No second chances. Gone for good.
Unicorns and War Unicorns were a different story.
They’d been recruited from wild Creature Dwellings, which meant they could be brought back later.
So now, they had no choice but to sacrifice the pawns to save the kings. Even if every last Unicorn and War Unicorn was wiped out, they had to make sure the Legendary Units—especially the dragons—survived.
At the very least, they had to get as many of them out alive as possible!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
At the same time, the Green Dragons and Emerald Dragons didn’t hesitate. They scattered instantly, breaking formation and fleeing in all directions. Not a single one of them looked like they had any intention of standing their ground.
"Cowards! Useless cowards! You think you can run? Let’s see how far you get!!!"
"Orryn! Move your ass—we’re going after them!"
Seraphina, true to her fiery temper, exploded the moment she saw the enemy trying to flee. She shot forward like a demon unleashed, hellbent on the chase.
She was fast—at least three times faster than a regular Green Dragon.
"There she goes again..." Orryn, the Green Dragon, couldn’t help but let out a resigned chuckle.
Every time they went into battle, Seraphina was technically supposed to be leading them—but in reality, she always charged in headfirst, leaving the rest of them in the dust. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
But that was just who she was. They’d all gotten used to it by now.
"Let’s move! We don’t have time to waste—don’t let them get away!"
"ROAR! ROAR! ROAR...!"
Orryn glanced back at the rest of the Green Dragon squad, then spread his wings and launched into the sky, diving into the hunt.
...
Meanwhile, Elyra had quietly slipped into position near the Unicorn and War Unicorn battalion. Her eyes narrowed, and in the next instant, a surge of overwhelming magical energy erupted from her entire body.
"H-Holy..."
"What the hell is that? That magic... it’s terrifying!"
Bladedancer Elf hero Kaelen, who was closest to her, felt the wave of power hit like a punch to the gut. His pupils shrank, and he gasped, face going pale as he whipped his head toward Elyra. His voice trembled. "It’s... it’s her. The Unicorn hero from Emerald Castle!"
"What?! She’s here too?!"
"This can’t be happening... don’t tell me they’ve sent their entire elite force?!" Pegasus Knight hero Hadrian’s voice cracked with despair.
And then—Elyra made her move.
"Ahhh—!"
From her lips came a sound that was almost divine, a resonant, holy cry that echoed across the battlefield.
BOOM!
Suddenly, her small frame lit up with arcs of blinding lightning, crackling and roaring like a storm god’s fury. At the same time, radiant white light—pure and searing—burst from her, rolling outward in waves that lit up the sky like a second sun.
The energy kept building, growing larger and more intense by the second.
Then, with a thunderous roar, it exploded forward—slamming into the Unicorn and War Unicorn forces like a divine hammer from the heavens.
This wasn’t just any spell. It was Elyra’s signature AOE ability—Divine Storm. A devastating magical onslaught infused with both holy light and thunderous lightning, capable of covering a massive area and dealing brutal damage to everything caught in its path.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE...
In an instant, it was like the sky itself had torn open. A colossal net of lightning and holy light came crashing down from above, engulfing everything beneath it.
Wherever it touched, the sheer force of the magic surged like a tidal wave, obliterating anything in its way.
The storm was so intense, it even triggered a shift in the weather—winds howled, clouds swirled, and a full-blown magical tempest erupted, swallowing the enemy Unicorn and War Unicorn army whole.
"ROAR! ROOOAR!"
"NEIGHHH—!"
Caught in the chaos, the unicorns were tossed around like paper boats in a hurricane. Some were hurled into the air, spinning helplessly before crashing into the ground with bone-shattering force. Others were slammed into the earth so hard they left craters behind.
Legs twisted, wings broken, bodies scattered—they were in no shape to fight, let alone hold the line.
With their formation shattered and their forces in disarray, they could no longer block or slow down the pursuit of the dragons. They were too busy just trying to survive.
Watching it all unfold, a smile bloomed across Elyra’s face. She murmured to herself, "Perfect. Just as I thought."
Their main objective today was to take out the Night Elves’ Legendary Units—but that didn’t mean they could just ignore the fifty Tier-11 Unicorns and Tier-12 War Unicorns.
If those things had managed to stall them, even without causing casualties, the Emerald Dragons and Green Dragons would’ve had enough time to escape.
And that would’ve meant mission failed.
Which was absolutely unacceptable.
Especially with Ethan watching from above—his presence in the sky was as good as a royal inspection. This wasn’t just a battle. This was a chance to prove themselves.
Everyone wanted to shine in front of Ethan. To show him they were valuable. That they were exceptional.
Because today’s battle wasn’t just about winning.
They had to win big. Flawlessly. No mistakes.
"Nice work, Elyra!"
High above, Ethan’s eyes lit up as he watched the scene unfold. He couldn’t help but praise her out loud. "Now those Unicorns and War Unicorns won’t be able to interfere with Seraphina and Balthazar’s hunt for the Green and Emerald Dragons!"
