Mystic Calling:Stone of Glory-Chapter 181: Attack! Attack! Attack!
Chapter 181: Attack! Attack! Attack!
Deep within the vast, endless forests northwest of Sylvanwood, Ethan led the army of Emerald Castle, hot on the heels of the Kingdom of the Night Elves convoy escorting the Dragonblood Crystal towards AvLee!
Now, how they managed to track this group through that sprawling sea of trees, especially with no solid leads or a precise target? Well, that was all thanks to Cicero!
Turns out, way back when Cicero was gathering intel in the Night Elf capital, he’d secretly tagged several of their purple-ranked Epic heroes with a Draconic Brand.
And using this Draconic Brand...
Cicero could get a rough fix on the marked targets’ general direction and location!
Then, by ruling out the signals from other locations that clearly didn’t fit the situation... the two remaining signals, currently pinging from the northwest...
...were obviously the ones they were after.
The Kingdom of the Night Elves team hustling the Dragonblood Crystal towards AvLee!
"Cicero, any eyes on the target? How far out are they?" Ethan called out as they pushed onward.
"Shouldn’t be much farther now..."
Cicero focused, sensing the distance to the Draconic Brands, then spoke again, his voice steady. "Master, at our current speed, we should catch them in ten minutes, tops!"
He paused, then seemed to pick up on something new.
RUMBLE!
Instantly, a gust of wind kicked up.
With a powerful beat of his dragon wings, Cicero launched himself high into the air, soaring above the canopy to survey the endless woods.
He scanned the region to the northeast.
A moment later, his voice reached Ethan, "Master, I’ve pinpointed their location! Both purple Epic heroes are straight ahead! Northeast."
"Northeast?" Ethan’s eyes flashed with fierce light. He immediately started barking orders!
"Emerald Castle army, report in!"
"Ready to serve, Master!"
"My Lord, we’ve been waiting for this!"
"Lord, just give us the word!"
...
"Alright! Everyone, listen up!"
Ethan narrowed his eyes and roared, "Seraphina, Elyra, Orryn, and the Green Dragon Legion—you take down the enemy’s Green Dragons! Remember, hit them hard. Take out as many as you can. Got it?"
"Understood!"
"Attack! Attack! Attack!"
"Let’s go! We’ll tear them apart!"
...
ROAR!
At the same instant, Seraphina let out a bloodcurdling roar.
The immense power radiating from her surged violently, churning like a physical force! It felt like a world-ending storm, a true cataclysm!
Her aura pulsed with terrifying, nightmarish energy!
SWOOSH!
Then, Seraphina unfurled her massive, fearsome dragon wings!
The sound ripped through the air like the shriek and thunder of a hurricane!
Utterly terrifying.
Deafening!
"WHOOSH!"
Amidst this, Seraphina’s monstrous form, resembling some mythical beast of legend, rocketed skyward, wings pumping furiously! She shot towards the enemy at incredible speed.
"WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH..." Simultaneously, the five Tier 13 Green Dragons of the legion, the special Legendary Unit Green Dragon Orryn, and Elyra all cried out almost as one.
Then, following Seraphina’s lead, they all launched themselves into the sky, streaking away at blinding velocity!
"Balthazar," Ethan turned to the Behemoth leader and his kin, instructing them carefully, "the remaining enemy Emerald Dragons, plus all their Tier 11 and Tier 12 Royal Units—they’re all yours!"
"But remember," he stressed, "the primary targets for this operation are the Legendary Units! That means your main objective is to take down those Tier 13 Emerald Dragons! Everything else—whether it’s their troop heroes or the Tier 11 and 12 Royal Units—is secondary. Understood?"
"Understood!"
"The Behemoth clan stands ready, respected Lord!"
Balthazar nodded, glanced back at his kin, and in perfect unison, all the Legendary Unit Behemoths and Mythic Unit Ancient Behemoths exploded into motion, breaking into a thunderous charge! They tore towards the northeast!
Behemoths might look huge, maybe even a bit clumsy...
But that’s just an illusion!
Truth is, among both Tier 13 Legendary and Tier 14 Mythic Units, the Behemoth clan is famous for its shocking agility and speed.
Faster than you’d think possible.
Plus, Ethan currently had them assigned under Seraphina’s command, letting them soak up her full attribute bonuses.
In a way, this synergy just made their speed and agility even more terrifyingly effective!
"Cicero, Auremax, you two head out as well."
After Balthazar and the Behemoths charged off, Ethan looked to Cicero and Auremax. "Oh, right—if you get a chance, try to protect our comrades. Keep casualties down."
"Okay..." Auremax began to nod, but Cicero cut him off. "Auremax, you stay here and protect the Master. Just in case."
"Protect me?" Ethan blinked, surprised, shaking his head. "Is that really necessary?"
"Just a precaution!" Cicero looked steadily at Ethan, speaking slowly. "Master, to us, you are the most important thing! No matter what, someone needs to be by your side watching your back."
"Cicero’s right," the Gold Dragon Auremax nodded firmly. "My Lord, I’ll stay. Your safety comes first. Besides, with Seraphina and Balthazar leading the charge, their strength should be more than enough to secure victory!"
"Alright, fine." Seeing they were set on it, Ethan didn’t argue further and just nodded.
"Master, I’m heading out then!" Cicero gave Auremax a quick nod.
Then his form blurred, and with a faint zip, he vanished, teleporting away instantly!
"My Lord, climb aboard! Let’s watch the battle from the sky!" the Gold Dragon Auremax offered.
"Right!" Ethan immediately leaped onto Auremax’s broad, golden back. The dragon let out a resonant cry, and with a powerful downbeat of his wings, shot upwards like a golden comet, ascending high into the heavens!
And amidst all this commotion, down below, the enemy forces finally realized something was terribly wrong!
The convoy from the Kingdom of the Night Elves was escorting the Dragonblood Crystal to AvLee. Leading the mission were two male unit heroes—Hadrian, a Tier 7 Pegasus Knight, and Kaelen, a Tier 9 Bladedancer Elf.
"Hadrian, did you hear that?" Kaelen suddenly froze mid-step, his sharp elven senses picking up something off.
He glanced back toward the endless sea of trees behind them, eyes narrowing, his expression shifting to one of confusion and unease.
"Hear what?" Hadrian asked, casually.
"Something weird... like a sound coming from behind us."
"You’re imagining things," Hadrian replied with a dismissive chuckle. "We’re in a forest. Of course there are noises. That’s normal."
He gestured broadly to the formidable force marching with them. "Look at our lineup—fifteen Tier 13 Emerald Dragons, ten Tier 13 Green Dragons, twenty Tier 12 War Unicorns, and thirty Tier 11 Unicorns. Who the hell would be dumb enough to mess with us?"
Hadrian’s tone was cocky, his face relaxed, not a trace of concern in his voice.
"Yeah... maybe you’re right," Kaelen muttered, starting to feel like he was overreacting.
But before he could finish that thought—
BOOM!
A deafening roar tore through the forest as a hurricane-force wind exploded around them. A monstrous presence surged forward, and in a blink, a massive, terrifying beast—something straight out of myth—came crashing through the trees, charging straight at them.
The sheer pressure of its Draconic Force was overwhelming. Its eyes glowed with a savage, primal light. Its body was massive, grotesque, and radiating raw power.
Kaelen and Hadrian both went pale.
They gasped.
"A dragon?!"
"No... not just any dragon. That’s a unit hero! She’s a Crimson Ultimate–class Green Dragon hero!"
"Shit! What the hell is a Crimson Ultimate–class Green Dragon doing out here?! Wait—could she be from Emerald Castle?!"
"Ambush! Everyone, counterattack! It’s just one enemy—don’t panic!"
"Green Dragon Legion, Emerald Dragon Legion—form up! Hit back!"
"Kill! Kill! Kill—!"
Hadrian and Kaelen shouted orders, their voices a mix of panic and fury.
But before they could even react properly, the air around them twisted violently. The Draconic Force surged again, and the dragon—Seraphina—opened her mouth.
A blinding beam of venomous green light erupted from her jaws, roaring through the air like a divine judgment. It slammed into the stunned Green Dragons at the center of the formation.
This was Seraphina’s innate ability—Venomous Dragon Breath.
BOOOOOOM!
The blast detonated in the heart of the Green Dragon ranks, unleashing a storm of toxic energy that spiraled into the sky like a tornado of emerald fire. Smoke and debris exploded outward, and the shockwave tore through the battlefield.
In an instant, the entire formation was thrown into chaos. Green Dragons, Emerald Dragons—even the Unicorns and War Unicorns on the flanks—were all caught in the pull of the storm, dragged back toward the epicenter.
They were swallowed whole by the venomous maelstrom.
The damage was catastrophic.
And yet—despite the sheer destructive force—there were no casualties among the higher-tier units. Only the weakest among them, the Tier 11 and Tier 12 Royal Units, suffered any real harm.
Seraphina’s Venomous Dragon Breath had landed like a divine strike—but it wasn’t enough to kill.
"ROAR!"
ROAR!
ROAR!
The battlefield echoed with furious bellows.
Instead of being intimidated, the two unit heroes—along with the Emerald Dragons and Green Dragons—were now absolutely enraged.
So what if she was a Crimson Ultimate–class hero? In their eyes, numbers were everything. They had an entire army. Seraphina was just one dragon.
What was there to be afraid of?
They had no reason to fear her—and they sure as hell weren’t going to back down.
BOOM!
But just then, the sky split open.
A monstrous platinum beast, easily over ten thousand feet long, came crashing down like a bolt of white lightning. It struck with terrifying speed, its claws slashing straight for one of the Tier 13 Emerald Dragons.
It was fast—insanely fast.
The Emerald Dragon sensed the attack and tried to dodge, wings flaring, body twisting—but it was too late. The platinum beast was already on top of it.
In less than a heartbeat—
CRACK!
The beast’s massive claw smashed down on the Emerald Dragon’s skull.
The sound was sickening—like a watermelon exploding under a sledgehammer.
Despite being a Legendary Unit under the command of a unit hero, with all the stat boosts that came with it, the Emerald Dragon was obliterated in a single blow.
Its head burst like a melon.
Instant kill.
"Holy shit!" Ethan shouted from above, unable to hold back. "That’s Balthazar for you—goddamn monster!"
[Emerald Dragon]
Tier: 13
HP: 14,000
Attack: 133 (234)
Defense: 140 (199)
Damage: 277–366
Looking at those stats, it was obvious—this wasn’t some wild Legendary Unit. This was a fully buffed Emerald Dragon, empowered by a unit hero’s full attribute bonuses. Its strength was leagues above standard units.
And yet, Balthazar had crushed it like it was nothing.
One claw. One hit. One kill.
It was unreal. Absolutely terrifying.
And it made one thing crystal clear—Balthazar wasn’t just strong. He was on a whole different level.
Hadrian and Kaelen, still hovering in the air, went ghost-white.
Their faces twisted in horror, eyes wide with disbelief.
