The Daemons of the Typhon Region learned of the significant alliance between the Kingdom of Monstra and an unknown nation from the Ferus Sea. At first, the knowledge of the alliance unfolded as rumors which was dispersed gradually by merchants throughout the region. As time passed by, these mere gossips became common knowledge.

It brought about a question, who were the so-called allies of Monstra?

Well, the answer to this simple took one form. It was the shape of the Lone Wolf, a cold beastfolk who observed the insides and outs of the Kingdom. Her silhouette would emerged amidst the darkness of the night, resembling a silver canine of unparalleled beauty. She was but an observer, yet she commanded the respect of the Daemon Generals of the Monarch of Monstra.

A month had passed since the beginning of the alliance between Monstra and this unknown nation. In the present, the lone wolf stood before the court of Monstra, surrounded by members of the council and the allied Daemon Monarchs who had requested to meet the diplomat of the unknown nation. After all, they had heard of a nation that has brought trouble to the League of Humanity.

Coincidently, such a nation belonged to the Ferus Sea, which brought interest to the Daemon Monarchs in regards to who may be this ally of Monstra. Amongst the Daemon Monarchs, the Dragon Monarch stood coldly. He was curious yet cautious of the individual before him. She seemed fearless despite surrounded by beings of unparalleled power.

"How may I help you, Monarchs of the Typhon Region." Mercedes aloofly questioned, tilted her head slightly while gazing at the eyes of various Daemons. There was no fear within her as though she didn't consider them as threatening individuals. Despite being much weaker than them and the fact that they inherently released a suppressing aura, she wasn't to be underestimated.

The Dragon Monarch stepped forward, his eyes filled to the brim with scrutiny. While staring at the lone wolf, he asked. "Mercedes of the United World Government. I have heard rumors about your nation, yet you remained unknown to us. We are ignorant of your country, and our ally doesn't even give us a tinge of information about it." He glanced at Echidna, who avoided his gaze.

Mercedes raised her eyebrows, but understood the worries of the Daemon Monarchs. The Kingdom of Monstra was amongst the few powers with great authority over the Alliance of Typhon. It was amongst many unions, but it remained the newest and fasted one to expand during the last decade. As it was a recent alliance, it was unstable in terms of relations.

On the other hand, Echidna felt a little bit guilty as she promised to be honest to her allied Daemon Monarchs. They were her friends and the ones who had helped her become the Monarch of Monstra. It was because of their alliance that Monstra expanded as a country and became a great power within the Typhon Region.

Nevertheless, she also promised the United World Government and accepted their trust. Abraham was also her friend, and a man who belonged to the same world as her. He also brought about a country of his own, which was far different than Monstra. It gave her nostalgia about the former world. Something she didn't expect to happen in this lifetime.

"I understand your worries, Dragon Monarch. But I assure you that the United World Government doesn't mean any harm to the inhabitants of the Typhon Region." Her words resounded throughout the court, earning the murmurs of many. The members of the Council were apprehensive, while the Daemon Monarchs raised their eyebrows. Most wondered whether her words could even be trusted.

"Our covenant stands with the freedom of sapient life. It is the liberation of those shackled by slavery and granting them the independence they deserve." Mercedes continued as though she was advertising the United World Government to the Daemon Monarchs. But none of them were delighted by her words. Far from it, their eyes narrowed.

In the Primordial World, slavery was a way of life to those who dominate at the very top. It was the easiest and most cost-effective way to ensure the growth of a country. None of them could deny that they have delved in the ways of slavery, especially when it was what to be expected. Besides, morality of the Typhon Region was that the strongest deserved authority over the weak.

"And why do you think we will accept your covenant, Beastfolk?" The Dragon Monarch questioned, while Echidna felt cold sweat dripped from her forehead. She had forgotten that slavery was the norm within the Typhon Region. Even her allies delved within it alongside some of her subordinates, the reason why she didn't bother tackling it was the logic of 'Do as the romans do in Rome'.

She had forgotten that the Daemon Monarchs was also part of the slave trade, and that the United World Government were hardliners against it. They were merciless against those that enslaved others. They even clashed against a Sovereign because of the difference of ideologies. The United World Government didn't know fear, and they would crush those that didn't follow them.

"Unfortunately, all of you will be taken care of. I have thoroughly observed the Kingdom of Monstra and investigated the Typhon Region. I am not ignorant of the way you enslave weaker tribes of Monster. While their sapience remained to be questioned, there are those with clear intelligence and consciousness. As such, you will be deemed enslavers."

Her back was straightened as she stood fearlessly against the Daemon Monarchs. It was as though she wasn't afraid to die. After all, each and single one of Daemon Monarchs were much more stronger than her. "But the United World Government would be willing to not judge you of your past. As long as you promised to never delve in slave trade, we will consider your neutrality."

"You must understand that the World Government wishes to liberate those shackled by power. We do not judge those who wish to change. After all, the norms of this world is fairly simple and barbaric." The words that escaped the supple lips of Mercedes were calm yet filled to the brim with a tint of arrogance. She looked down on those that enslaved others.

To her, they didn't deserve a bit of respect. But as she was the diplomat of the United World Government. Her dissatisfaction must remain hidden amidst the perception of foreign powers. Anyhow, her voice echoed throughout the court, earning the gasped of the council members. After all, none of them expected for a mere diplomat to disrespect the Daemon Monarchs.

"You... An insect dares to look down upon us Monarchs?" The Dragon Monarch's eyes gleamed with wrath as smoke escaped his nose. The temperature surrounding him increased, warming the nearby Daemon Monarchs who stepped aside in annoyance. "I am but a mere diplomat. I cannot look down to those who consider themselves as rulers. Unfortunately, however, I am not an ant."

"To those who are willing to change their ways, the United World Government would accept you as allies. Whether it'd be economic trade, military support, or political assistance. The World Government will be ready." The edges of her lips rose as she slightly bowed before turning her back to the Daemon Monarchs. She sauntered out of the court, uncaring of the glares behind her.

Silence soon consumed the court as the council members didn't dare to utter a single word. One after another, the members of the councils took their leave, not wanting to be part of what ever occurs after the meeting. Especially when the Daemon Monarchs were far from jolly with their first meeting of the United World Government's diplomat.

"Echidna? Why did you ally yourself to them?" The Dragon Monarch barely managed to calmed himself down and glanced at the Daemoness behind him. She wryly smiled and responded. "The ruler of the United World Government and I are colleagues. Although we didn't know much about each other, we belonged to the same homeland."

Hearing the words of the Daemoness, the Dragon Monarch raised his eyebrows and questioned. "You mean that homeland of yours whose technology surpassed this world? A place where peace had prevailed and wars remained but a distant echo?" Echidna wasn't the one to hide details of the former world. Though, she masked it under the guise of a long forgotten homeland.

"Yes... You are correct, Draco. The United World Government is the nearest of what my homeland was, although a little bit extreme. Whether it'd be technology, power, and values. The World Government is no less different. For this reason, I decreed an alliance between the two nations. After all, I want my Kingdom to resemble what I thought of as home." Echidna softly answered.

"I must remind you, Draco. As my best friend, you have to understand that I dislike conflict the most. Besides, a conflict between the Typhon Region and the Ferus Sea wouldn't be good. Especially with the backers that the United World Government has." She continued, earning the curious gaze of the Daemon Monarchs. The Daemoness sighed to herself and mentioned.

"There are two backers that could be considered as the pillars of the United World Government. One is the Authority, my colleague. The other is his wife, the Dragon of Liberation. Each and single one of them are much stronger than me. I have heard about how they fought against a Sovereign and forced it out of their country. I, myself, know of their strength."

"They cannot be underestimated." When the Daemon Monarchs heard of her explanation. They were shocked to say the least, but Draco focused in another word. It was the Dragon of Liberation. Another Dragon like him. Just when he thought he was the last of his kind. Noticing the expressions of the Daemon Monarchs, Echidna warned. "The moment you go past the line."

"Even if I consider you a friend, I will not aide you. I am grateful for your support, but the Kingdom of Monstra must survive. That is a responsibility that I the Monarch must bare."
