Chapter 1410: Decisions

-----

After we explained things to everyone, and after Emeraldine lied dramatically about what was going to happen (an estimate by me), Alma and Emily were definitely sold. However, Sofia and Martina hesitated a bit.

Nonetheless, because Martina acted like everything was coming to an end, Sofia got angry over her lack of willpower and perhaps pride, or something else. I don’t really understand what’s going on inside her head most of the time.

"Ugh, fine! I’m coming along, Maria! You better know of a way to grow stronger!" Sofia said angrily. "Also Martina you’re coming along too, stop being a crybaby, the world isn’t going to end and I’m going to show you it won’t!" freeωebnovēl.c૦m

"A-Ah, yes!" Martina nodded. "Wow, you changed your opinion very quickly though, Sofia. Why?"

"Because you’re exaggerating things so much...!" Sofia said angrily again, blushing a bit. "I am not going to sit down and wait for the world to end either, do you think I’m that type of person?! I’ll believe Maria, fine! But I hope I can grow stronger; the usual methods won’t do anymore. If you’re the genius you say you are, then I believe you have an idea, right Maria?"

"Hah, I wouldn’t call myself a genius, Sofia. But yes, I think I’ve even figured out a way to help your Dream Weapons evolve and become even bigger and stronger," I said. "Just like mine here. It has changed greatly, isn’t it? Its shape, form, and even the decorations. Its total power, and even abilities."

As I showed them my Dream Weapons which had changed design, the girls gasped in disbelief. They glanced at the sword and the halberd in silence, feeling their auras, they were at least twice as strong as before.

"Wait a second, your sword and your halberd changed?!" Alma asked. "I-I cannot believe this!"

"Eeeeh? No way! They really evolved?!" Emily asked. "Wow, this is just nuts! I don’t think I’ve ever seen something like this in the news before. Usually by "evolving" we mean we get new abilities, but this is just beyond that!"

"Wait a moment, how... did you do it?" Martina asked. "T-This is..."

"It’s not an illusion or anything of the sort either..." Sofia analyzed the weapons. "Maria, did you do something similar to me when I got my Dream Spirit?"

"Well, it seems you really want to know, huh? Come along and I’ll tell you the trick," I giggled. "Let’s go."

It seemed all the girls were completely convinced. Honestly I would’ve preferred to not bring them along if possible, it would be too dangerous.

But right now, I am quite positive they could be of great help, as inhabitants of this world, they probably have some edge against the Nightmare Demons that we don’t, or that we have yet to find out they could have.

This is why we’re going to train anyway! Not only for us to level up, but for these girls, incapable of leveling or getting skills as they have no access to any system from the tower yet, to become stronger.

And the Dream Weapon Evolution process I can do with my System, I plan to do it with their weapons as well, but I need to grind for materials, hence why we’re returning to the archipelago, and we’ll try bating Nightmare Demons to come our way.

And let’s hope it works... No, it HAS to work, the System can affect anything I touch right? Also it is an extension of my own powers, a Unique Skill tied to my Soul.

So if it doesn’t work at the beginning, then we’re forcing it to work either way.

"So where exactly are we going? Are we visiting all the archipelagos?" Emily wondered.

As we walked out of the school after packing up most of our things from the rooms, we started talking about what we had to do now.

"Yes, we’re going to the same archipelagos where everything started," I nodded.

"But aren’t those islands very protected?" Asked Alma. "I-I’ve heard they’re constantly being surrounded by maritime guards, even more now after the incident."

"Yes, maybe that would be the case usually," I said. "But we don’t have to worry about them, with my Magic, we can easily infiltrate the islands without even being noticed so don’t worry."

"H-How?" Alma asked.

"With my Shadow Magic," I explained to her. "Look, let’s stand here."

We stood in the middle of the street we were walking through, right in the middle of a bunch of beautiful modern-looking houses.

Honestly a part of myself really missed these urban places full of modern houses, big concrete cities and modernity, such as phones, internet, games, and snacks...

Anyway.

"I’ll move you from here to there using my shadows." I explained.

"Uwah?!" Alma gasped as I touched her and then she was consumed by pure shadows.

And then...

FLASH!

She appeared at the other side of the street, emerging as if nothing had ever happened to her, I could tell she was rather confused, and I mean, it’s not like she could help it either way.

"I-I teleported?!" She asked. "I really didn’t even see much other than shadows and darkness...! And it only took a second... Can you travel like this even over the ocean?"

"Yeah there’s no problem regarding that," I nodded. "Anyway, let’s go shop for some stuff first. We need to replenish a lot of food for all of us, and maybe camping items. I also want to see a mall; we haven’t visited one before."

"S-Sure? I guess we’re going to do that first, the day’s pretty young still," Sofia nodded. "But camping equipment? don’t tell me you’re planning on staying there overnight?"

"Yes, we are," I nodded. "It’s necessary so we can keep training and hunting... If you don’t want to do it you’re free to just not come with us. I already said that before."

"I-I already said that I’m coming with you!" Sofia said angrily. "Anyway, let’s just get this done with already."

As she acted all grumpily, we went to the nearby mall to go shopping.

Ah, finally, more modern civilization luxuries!
