Return With the Billionaire Baby Daddy-Chapter 147: New accident
"It’s Fanny," Damian said.
Valerie immediately furrowed her brow. "What do you mean? What do you mean Fanny is the culprit? That’s highly unlikely, what would be her motive? She’s always been very kind and..."
"No one else was indicated to enter our mansion," Damian interrupted before Valerie could finish. "And it makes perfect sense if Fanny scattered Daniel’s toy beads there because she was the last one to cross the stairs, and only she truly knew that Daniel had those beads. You might think Fanny has no motive, and she’s kind, maybe that’s just part of her trick to make us unsuspecting and trust her..."
Valerie swallowed hard. "But... But why? She didn’t know me before, I’ve never had any issues with her."
"Maybe Samuel instructed her."
"But that’s unlikely," Hans retorted. "She’s been working with you before Samuel was released, so, maybe Samuel instructed her," he continued.
Damian sighed, his thoughts suddenly turning to Daniel, who was now with Fanny while Fanny was suspected of having malicious intentions towards Valerie and their family. He quickly contacted Gustave.
"Have you picked up Daniel?" he asked when he connected with Gustave.
"Jimmy picked him up."
"Ah!" Damian slapped his head, remembering he had asked Jimmy. "Sorry, I’ll call him!" He ended the call and switched to contacting Jimmy.
"Jimmy?"
"Sir, I’m at the prekindergarten," Jimmy said over the phone. "Daniel is still in class, I can’t take him home until the lesson is over," he continued.
"What about Fanny? Is she there?"
"No... She’s not here."
Damian furrowed his brow. "She’s not there?"
"Yes, I didn’t see her. I’ve searched around the playground and the garden, but I couldn’t find her," Jimmy explained again.
Damian sighed, clenching his fists, his ambitious gaze envisioning Fanny’s face.
"What’s wrong?" Valerie asked, noticing Damian’s expression.
"Jimmy... After this, bring Daniel to my parents’ mansion immediately, I’ll contact the police now," Damian said, deciding to end the call and turning to Valerie. "Daniel is fine... But Fanny isn’t there. She may be run... if she’s run and not returning to our mansion, or not responding to us anymore, maybe she’s fled because she’s the one who scattered those toy beads on the stairs!" he said seriously.
Valerie fell silent, finding it hard to believe.
"That means there’s another enemy besides Samuel," Hans remarked.
Damian remained silent, then walked away while contacting someone.
"Gustave, ask the police to investigate Fanny now and immediately check the fingerprints on those toy beads. No need to bother with CCTV anymore, I think the culprit is indeed Fanny!" he said.
"Yes, Sir."
"She’s no longer at the daycare. She might have run away and may not be too far."
"Alright, I’ll try to track her down."
Damian ended the call, then sat back in his chair, looking at Valerie, who looked so sad.
"What do we do now?" Valerie asked.
"Let’s just go to the police station... I want to talk to Samuel, and also inform him about Hannah’s condition," Damian replied, making Hans immediately furrow his brow.
"Meet Samuel?" Valerie whispered anxiously.
"You don’t have to meet him if you can’t contain your emotions when you see him," Damian replied.
"I’ll meet him, I need to say something to him about his relationship with Hannah."
"Yes, it needs to be clarified whether he will divorce her or not."
Damian stood up, followed by Valerie, and asked Hans to stay at the hospital to ensure any developments in Hannah’s condition.
...
Fanny hurriedly walked towards a car parked on the side of the road, where a man was waiting for her while smoking, looking like a thug with his arms covered in tattoos, thin balding hair revealing some tattoos on his head, and wearing a sleeveless shirt and ripped jeans.
"Zac!"
Fanny immediately approached the man.
"You took too long," Zac said, then quickly got into the car.
Fanny got in as well and let Zac drive. She immediately took off her clothes, leaving only her blue bra and underwear, then switched to a sexy red dress with open sleeves, then took off her bra and removed her hair tie.
"I have to change my appearance immediately so no one recognizes me," she said anxiously.
"Why are you afraid? Didn’t you do everything very neatly?" Zac wondered.
"Yes, but I’m still sure they will suspect me."
"Just suspicion, but insufficient evidence won’t get you jailed... So you shouldn’t be afraid or hide, I think it will only make them suspicious of you and might catch you."
Fanny fell silent, staring at Zac.
"I didn’t expect you to do something like this... And, this is very dangerous for you, it will harm you," Zac said, then resumed smoking his cigarette.
"I’ll be fine, Karina will protect me!" Fanny replied harshly. "Besides, if I’m caught because Damian proves that I’m the one who made Valerie fall down the stairs, then I’ll immediately say that it’s Karina’s order. Then I’ll be free and Karina will have to face the punishment... And of course, it’s beneficial for me because I’ve already got money from her!" she said firmly.
"In that case, there’s no need to run away, just surrender to the police and say that Karina instructed you... If indeed you’ll be free with that honesty," Zac said with a thin smile, then shook his head. "You know, you’re not as easy as you imagine. Maybe if Valerie miscarries or even dies... Damian will feel very angry, and vengeful, and he won’t give you or anyone else any tolerance. He will still punish you even if you say that Karina ordered you!"
Fanny sighed, looking at Zac with annoyance.
"You know that I’ll always be in trouble with every step I take, so why don’t you try to stop me? Or are you waiting for my downfall?" she wondered with irritation.
"I already told you not to do it but you said you had to do it because you already got a lot of money from her... So, I just let you do it... Because when you’re imprisoned, I’ll be the one controlling your money," he replied with a sly smile.
Fanny widened her eyes. "What do you mean by saying that?"
Zac remained silent.
"Hey!" Fanny tapped Zac’s shoulder.
"You know," Zac said shortly.
"Are you deceiving me?" Fanny gasped, suddenly feeling anxious, her heart pounding as she looked at Zac who continued to smile thinly, seeming to enjoy her situation of distress and fear. "Tell me what you want from all of this. What do you mean by wanting to control my money when I’m in jail?"
"Because I’ve already transferred your money into my account," Zac said casually, then smirked. "But don’t worry, I don’t intend to rob you. I’ll keep your money. Maybe I’ll use just a little for fun. Fanny, you should know that this isn’t about taking over your money but to keep it safe from being seized by the police because it’s the proceeds of criminal activity."
Fanny fell silent, seeming very surprised by Zac’s statement.
"So when you’re in prison... I can still use that money to buy delicious food and send it to the prison so you can eat heartily."
"Zac!" Fanny exclaimed. "I don’t understand why you’re saying this. Don’t you want to help me avoid getting punished by going to jail? Why do you talk as if you want me in jail anyway!"
"I don’t want to help, I just don’t want to deal with Karina’s or Damian’s family. I’d rather leave you with that money!" Zac retorted.
"Zac...."
"That’s if you get caught," Zac added.
"You liar!" Fanny replied angrily. "You must have planned all of this. Now give me back my money, return it!" she quickly struck Zac.
"Fanny!"
Zac panicked, losing his balance even more, but Karina kept hitting him until suddenly.
"Nooo!" he yelled as his car collided with a container truck, then swerved and hit another car before finally coming to a stop after hitting the road barrier and rolling over.
The atmosphere became tense, Zac saw Fanny unconscious with blood on her head, as well as himself badly injured on the arm and head.
"Ugh....damn!" he uttered while enduring the pain. "Oh.. Shit, holy fuckkk!"
Zac tried to get out but couldn’t because the car door was damaged and couldn’t be opened.
"Help!" he shouted in frustration.
Until a few moments later, the sound of sirens began to be heard, ambulance, police, and firefighters came to the accident scene and evacuated them all, including the victims from other cars.
...
Damian, on his way to the police station, immediately stopped when he encountered the commotion ahead.
"Honey, what happened?" Valerie asked, looking ahead.
"It looks like an accident," Damian replied, unbuckling his seatbelt. "Stay here, I’ll try to find out," he continued.
Valerie remained silent, letting Damian get out and approach the crowd.
"Oh God, why are so many bad things happening today," she said anxiously. "Hopefully there are no fatalities in that accident," she continued, frowning as she watched Damian run back to the car.
Damian got in immediately.
"It’s Fanny!" Damian exclaimed.
"What?" Valerie was shocked. "Fanny? How?"
"I don’t know... but it’s Fanny. She’s seriously injured and is now being taken to the hospital. But I told the police she’s our fugitive," Damian explained anxiously.
Valerie swallowed nervously, feeling horrified, even more so as the medical team carried someone on a stretcher into the ambulance.
