She Asks for a Divorce Again-Chapter 67 - : No Crying Allowed
Chapter 67: Chapter 67: No Crying Allowed
“Get rid of it.”
Shen Heyu said somberly, recurring flashes of the scene she had witnessed before getting into the car occupied her mind.
After all, Pei Yansi never cared about this child.
She had no reason to torment herself, not physically nor emotionally.
The doctor said, “You’re not married, are you? If you were, we would need your husband’s signature to go ahead with the surgery. If unmarried, we need a family member’s signature.”
Shen Heyu replied, “My husband is dead.”
...
The doctor let out an “Ah,” and said, “Then, get a relative to come sign for you, I’ll go schedule the surgery.”
“Thank you.”

The aunt was listening to their conversation on the side, feeling incredibly anxious—what would the old lady and the master feel if the child were to be terminated?
She didn’t dare to say anything in front of Shen Heyu and quickly left the ward to call Pei Yansi.
Pei Yansi was entertaining guests at a birthday party, fulfilling the obligations expected of a Pei family heir, and found it odd to receive a call from the aunt. They were all staying at the same estate, so why the need for a call?
Not in the mood to answer, he gestured to Zhao Jin beside him and said, “Go check on the estate and see what’s happening.”
Zhao Jin suppressed his lips; without looking, he knew too well, having seen the scene of Shen Heyu being taken to the car.
Not knowing how many of the guests had seen it, and not wanting to disturb Pei Yansi’s mood, he hadn’t mentioned it.
He explained, “It seems Director Shen has had an emergency and has been taken to the hospital.”
Thinking of how cold she was last night, like a block of ice, Pei Yansi’s eyes darkened as he demanded, “Why are you only telling me now?!”
His voice, loud and distinctly sharp, caught the attention of many present. They turned to look in their direction.
Pei Yansi hurriedly called the aunt back, “What’s happened?”
The aunt on the other end tried to explain, but nothing was clear. Pei Yansi, out of patience, asked, “Which hospital?”
After hanging up, he didn’t speak to the guests but instead turned and headed for the garage.
Zhao Jin gave a couple of apologetic smiles to the guests and hurried after him.
Bai Sheng’er watched the pair leave, feeling a bitter itch in her heart. She had thought he wouldn’t leave the guests for her.
Who knew!
The guests didn’t care either; it wasn’t their birthday, after all. They continued to surround Grandma Pei, laughing and chatting.
Yet Grandma Pei was worried about Shen Heyu and felt no joy. Shortly after, the birthday party dispersed.
Bai Sheng’er, planning to leave among the crowd, was stopped by Grandma Pei: “You, stop right there.”
Her footsteps halted, and she put on a pleasing smile, “Grandma Pei?”
“Come with me.”
Grandma Pei said coldly, her stern gaze fixed on her as she turned and walked into the living room first. Facing such a look, Bai Sheng’er felt a jolt of fear—everyone said the elderly have sharp eyes from their experiences; could it be that she had discovered something?
She followed slowly, secretly sending a text message to Pei Yansi for help.
Pei Yansi, in the car, received the message and irritably glanced at it before tossing the phone aside.
Before long, he and Zhao Jin arrived at the hospital.
Pei Yansi headed straight for Shen Heyu’s ward. As he entered, he happened to catch the doctor informing her of the precautions before the abortion and the scheduled time for the surgery.
Pei Yansi forcefully pushed open the door, which made a loud noise.
All the people in the hospital room turned to look at the sound.
Seeing Pei Yansi’s tall and imposing figure standing by the door, he almost completely blocked out the light from outside.
His face was overcast, and as he walked in and stood by Shen Heyu’s hospital bed, he looked at her pale face. He couldn’t bring himself to speak harshly, but his tone was still icy cold, “A miscarriage? Did you get my approval?”
Shen Heyu smiled, her smile indifferent, and spoke calmly, “You’ve never cared, have you?”
“I may not care, but I have the right to decide whether to keep this child.”
Hearing their conversation, the doctor realized everything—clearly, this was a couple!
She glared at Shen Heyu and said, “That was wrong of you. Didn’t you say your husband was dead? Your husband is still alive. In this case, without his signature, we won’t perform the abortion. Honestly, you’ve wasted everyone’s time!”
She left the hospital room in a huff, feeling that all her work had been for naught!
The door closed behind her.
As soon as the door shut, the atmosphere in the room turned so cold it almost felt solidified. Pei Yansi kept his standing posture, looking down at Shen Heyu with an indifferent gaze.
His handsome face was expressionless, but his eyes were filled with hostility, enough to prove he was not pleased.
Shen Heyu felt very uncomfortable under his gaze, the pressure too intense, as if a heavy mountain was bearing down on her.
She turned her head away, not wanting to look at him.
Pei Yansi sensed her evasion and bent down to forcefully turn her face towards him by the chin, sneering, “You wished I was dead?”
“You’re alive, but you’re dead to me. In other words, your existence has no meaning to me, so you’re as good as dead.”
Pei Yansi was amused by her words.
“That sounds nice,” he said coldly, “You want to get rid of it, and I just won’t let you.”
Shen Heyu’s eyes reddened, “What are you after? You don’t have any love for me, do you? You just want to torture me. To give birth to a child only to have you torture me in front of our offspring?”
Pei Yansi scowled.
It had to be said, her words struck a chord within him. He indeed had no plans to have a child with her, but that was just initially.
Now he wanted to keep the child. He didn’t understand why, maybe it was because Grandma Pei was always nagging him about it every day, and the idea of lineage had gradually seeped into his consciousness.
Before he could speak, Shen Heyu continued, “At first, I didn’t want to get rid of it either, but your Shengsheng entered the room once and my health supplements turned into abortifacients.”
“And you were indifferent, still enjoying your time with her. Pei Yansi, why bother? What if the child finds out it was almost killed by its father’s mistress?”
“I won’t keep it.”
As she spoke, Shen Heyu’s tears fell uncontrollably. She didn’t want to cry at all, but her emotions during pregnancy were just so unstable, a small thing could be magnified.
She hurried to wipe her tears away, but the more she wiped, the more they flowed. Finally, she just lay there letting herself cry.
It was the first time Pei Yansi had seen her cry so much in front of him.
Her crying was soundless, with only her lips bitten, and tears flowing nonstop, making her look incredibly pitiful.
Her tears irritated him, “Stop crying. Do you have any evidence that it was her doing?”
“Right, I have no evidence. I’m just making it up, spouting nonsense—is that better? Just go away!” Shen Heyu cried and cursed simultaneously.
However, in Pei Yansi’s eyes, he somehow found this appearance of hers, so different from her previous indifferent and unengaging demeanor, much more agreeable.
He touched her tears, “I’ll find out the truth.”
