Sigil Online: I became the duke's third son-Chapter 19 -
Chapter 19: Chapter 19
As Luan walked toward the adventurers guild with Luciano and Kafele, he ran a hand through his hair, thinking back to last night's discussion with Lily and Kian.
"A gambling house?" She had asked, arching an eyebrow.
"More than that," Luan had corrected, leaning forward. "It's entertainment. A place where people come to drink, eat, bet, and spend their money willingly. We control the flow, set the odds in our favor, and make sure the house always wins in the long run."
Kian interjected. "How did you come up with that, my lord?" raising an eyebrow at Luan's insane idea.
Never had he heard such an idea for a business, and hearing Luan explain it, it sounded like he had other plans as well. 'How much gold does he need for his so-called lavish lifestyle?' Kian muttered.
"Did you say something, Kian?" Luan asked after hearing him mutter something.
"Never mind, don't worry about it, my lord." Kian replied.
"Alright, so what do you think, Lily? Can you start on the things I told you?" Luan asked, looking Lily straight in the eyes; this was very important to him.
"It's going to be very difficult," she said, sketching out rough game ideas Luan had mentioned. "But because you told me so early, I think I should be able to," she said, glancing at Luan.
Luan smirked at the memory. Now he just needed the capital to bring it to life.
"Ten thousand," he mumbled absentmindedly; that was the number Kian gave him to work towards after hearing all his plans.

Luciano and Kafele walked close behind Luan; when they heard that number, a shiver ran down their spines.
Glancing at each other, they sighed, "We're probably going to get overworked like crazy to reach that number." Kafele whispered to Luciano.
Luciano nodded, looking at Luan's back. But he didn't mind it at all; everything he heard yesterday was that insane. 'My lord is definitely not your average rich kid,' a smile spreading on his face.
Kafele gave Luciano a tap on the shoulder. "Why are you smiling, man? Are you looking forward to getting worked half to death?" he inquired, his voice barely audible.
"Yeah, I kind of am." Luciano replied, still looking at Luan's back.
When they finally arrived at a huge building standing proud in the middle of the capital. They had arrived at the adventurers guild at last.
It was a huge five-story fortress of stone and timber. Its thick, weathered stone walls bore the scars of time. A massive iron door marked the entrance, its surface carved with the guild's sigil. A sword entwined with a serpent.
Above it, colorful banners fluttered in the breeze, displaying the various adventure ranks.
Without turning around, Luan entered the building proudly while saying. "I don't mind you having your own opinions, but when we're in the presence of other people, especially nobles, act properly." With that, they entered the building.
Kafele and Luciano both nodded, correcting their posture to not disgrace their master.
After entering the adventurers guild, he was immediately hit by the scent of ale, sweat, and oiled leather. Blending with all the banter of everyone that was enjoying their ale in the cafe area.
Luan held the bridge of his nose for a moment, walking toward the receptionist; there were five different spots where a cute girl stood to help the adventurers.
'So this is how it looks in actuality; in the game, it was quite lackluster compared to this,' he mused.
"Hello, sir. How can I help you?" The young lady with long blonde hair and beautiful red eyes asked Luan.
"Hello, I am here to register as an adventurer," he said, then pointing at Kafele and Luciano, he continued. "These two behind me also want to register."
The receptionist looked at them for a moment and then grabbed three documents out of a drawer.
"Fill these forms in, please." handing them over together with a feather and ink.
"Thanks," Luan said, and started filling in all three forms.
"Sir, they need to fill them in for themselves unless they're slaves or servants. So could you let them fill it in for themselves?" The receptionist said, looking annoyed at Luan's antics.
But she kept the smile with which she greeted the trio on her face.
Luan sighed and slid the form he just filled in toward the receptionist, raising his index finger to his lip, signaling for her to be quiet, his eyes sharp with warning.
The receptionist started to lose her patience but decided to first check the form Luan had just slid to her.
When she read it, her eyes went round, and she almost slammed her head on the counter. Right before shouting her apologies, she remembered what Luan had just done.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Please don't punish me." She said, with a pleading expression on her face, tears started forming.
Luan looked at her in silence, thinking about what his options are now. With his family's influence, he could probably get her fired. But that would be boring.
And he liked her looks, so he had a different idea; clearing his throat, he looked straight at the receptionist.
"What's your name?" He gently asked, his earlier arrogance nowhere to be seen, as if it had been an act.
"I'm Celia, my lord," she meekly replied, sniffling.
"How about this, Celia? You will prioritize my group when you see us with payment and other things, and I won't make a big deal about what happened here." Luan said, a grin on his face.
But to Celia, the handsome young noble in front of her looked like a demon in human clothing right now. What he demanded from her was strictly against the rules; if she was ever caught, she would be fired on the spot.
Trying to stop the tears from forming, she looked at Luan with a pleading expression. Opening her mouth, she wanted to retort, but no words came out; she didn't know what to say.
