Sigil Online: I became the duke's third son-Chapter 27 -
Chapter 27: Chapter 27
"Torg is returning; get everything ready to move immediately. We are not giving the bandits any time." Luan shouted, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.
Everyone started doing their jobs seamlessly. Ava got the horses ready. Kian, Kafele, and Luciano put all the furniture back into the carriage, and the other maids were cleaning up the inside.
Luan nodded, proud of his servants; they were all very capable and did their jobs properly. After they got used to his antics.
Then he thought about Celia again; he missed her already. Mostly her rebellious attitude that he bent into submission just thinking about it put a smile on his face.
Sighing, he leaned against the carriage, waiting for Torg to appear at any moment. "Ready or not. Here I come," he mumbled.
After a while he finally saw Torg appear. "Torg, you show yourself to Ava and point her toward where the three men went." With that, Luan entered the carriage, closing the door behind him.
Once inside, he saw all the servants standing neatly in a row, first Kian, then Kafele and Luciano. And after them stood the maids, with Lily at the end.
Rubbing his chin, Luan looked at them all. "I want Kian, Luciano, and Kafele to join me in raiding the bandits, but I don't want to leave any protection behind." Luan started looking at Kian.
"You got any ideas?" he asked, taking a seat on the sofa. supporting his face with his hand.
Kian looked around, deep in thought. "If you want all four of us to raid, then you could hide the carriage with no protection, or you would have to leave someone behind." Kian replied.
Luan also looked around, trying to find something that could be used, but ultimately found nothing; then he thought back to his sigils. "Ah!" he shouted.

"I'll try something when we've arrived; if that doesn't work, Luciano will stay behind; otherwise, we don't need protection." A grin spreads across his face.
"Relax for now; soon there will be a huge party." He said, dismissing everyone and letting them go do their own thing.
While they were relaxing inside the carriage, Torg was guiding Ava toward the bandit hideout, and after traversing through the forest, Ava finally saw it.
A huge wooden fence in the middle of the forest. Stopping the carriage, she signaled that they had arrived.
"Get ready, everyone; the party is about to start." Luan stated, then he closed his eyes and thought back to when he got all the information about his spirit sigil; there was not only spirit summoning and using spirit abilities.
But also a spirit barrier and guardian spirits he had been so focused on learning to control elemental spirits and harnessing their power that he had completely forgotten about the other abilities it granted him.
'Maybe if I had remembered this, I wouldn't have been pierced by that ugly hobgoblin's cleaver,' he mused, not minding it too much; it was still a good lesson for him.
Focusing his attention on the mark on his back, he tried to use himself as the center and expand a barrier made up of spiritual energy to surround the carriage so the girls would be safe even if bandits found it.
Surprisingly, activating this ability was a lot easier than controlling spirits and contracting with them. 'Spiritual barrier,' he chanted inside his head, and it happened. Everyone inside the carriage and even Ava and the horses felt themselves be enveloped by a barrier.
This barrier not only felt sturdy and secure but also calmed them down, even healing and restoring fatigue.
They all looked at Luan, surprised. His sigils really were exceptional. Lily looked outside the window, and she saw it: a barrier surrounded the carriage. Even though it was barely visible, she still saw it and, most importantly, felt it was there.
"Alright, that's done even though I haven't tested it out; it should be fine." Saying that, Luan scratched his head; he didn't even believe his own words.
With a sigh, he once more focused on his sigil, but this time not to create a barrier but the other ability he had yet to test out. The guardian spirits because even with this barrier in place, he couldn't take any risks; there were a lot of precious things inside this carriage.
This time again activating the ability was relatively easy; he just tried the same thing he did for the spiritual barrier, chanting it silently inside his head. 'Come forth, my guardian spirits.'
Then it happened, surrounding Luan four ethereal human looking guards appeared. Clad in fully white armor, one was holding a katana, another was holding a spear, and the last two were both holding a sword and a shield.
When they fully materialized, all four of them bowed toward Luan. Not saying a single word.
Seeing this, Kian reacted instantaneously, appearing next to Kian, gripping his sword tightly, his posture ready to fight.
But after seeing the knights bow to Luan, he was confused, turning toward Luan, still vigilant. "My lord, what are these, um, people?" Kian asked.
Luan, on the other hand, was also surprised he hadn't gotten a lot of information about this ability. But he was pleasantly surprised. "Don't worry, Kian, they're my servants." Deciding not to reveal too much about his sigils, Luan kept his answer vague while still reassuring Kian and the others.
"They will stand guard outside the carriage so we can go wild without worrying about the girls or the blueprints." Luan said, grinning.
Kian heaved a sigh of relief; he was used to ambushing people and assassinating them. A head-on clash with four fully armored knights would have been tough. Even with Luciano and Kafele joining forces with him.
Clapping his hands Luan grabbed everyone's attention. "Now then, let's get this party started!" he announced, exiting the carriage.
With Kian, Kafele, and Luciano following closely behind. The girls looked at the four knights stationed around the carriage to cover all angles, heaving a sigh of relief.
