Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 227: Anytime, Anywhere
Cecilia Lynch kept her head down and didn’t speak, just lifted her bowl and kept shoveling rice into her mouth.
Her mouth was already bulging, unable to hold anymore, yet she continued stuffing food, rigidly repeating the motion.
Julian Keaton seethed in anger, glaring at Caden Lockwood, whose face remained cold and indifferent.
"You win!" Julian Keaton’s voice squeezed through clenched teeth.
Evelyn Morgan watched Caden Lockwood, her curiosity about the relationship between Cecilia Lynch and Julian Keaton utterly piqued.
She’s not stupid; the way Julian Keaton and Cecilia Lynch acted at this dinner clearly indicated their relationship wasn’t simple!
Seeing Caden Lockwood’s gaze shift toward her, Evelyn Morgan quickly lowered her head.
It wasn’t her place to interfere now; her mind was still occupied with Caden Lockwood’s dismissal of women.
Julian Keaton, infuriated, snatched the bowl from Cecilia Lynch’s hands, and angrily said, "Aren’t you full already? Why are you still eating? Have you never had a meal in your life?"
Cecilia Lynch raised her eyes to Julian Keaton, her beautiful eyes glistening with traces of tears.
Her mouth was stuffed with rice, making it impossible to speak, and she didn’t want to show any emotion in front of Evelyn Morgan. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
But evidently, she was already exposed!
In a state of embarrassment and panic, she lowered her head, swallowing the food bit by bit, pitifully.
Evelyn Morgan opened her mouth to say something, but Caden Lockwood stopped her, gently shaking his head.
Evelyn Morgan frowned and looked at Cecilia Lynch again; as her best friend, she rarely saw Cecilia Lynch in such a state.
Clearly overcome with sadness, yet fiercely suppressing the pain, stubbornly maintaining her dignity.
Julian Keaton couldn’t stay any longer, grabbing Cecilia Lynch’s wrist, taking her bag and pulling her out of the private room.
Watching Cecilia Lynch’s back, Evelyn Morgan’s heart was in her throat, wanting to chase after them, but Caden Lockwood intercepted her first.
"Cece, what’s wrong?" Evelyn Morgan whispered in confusion, "What exactly happened between her and Mr. Keaton?"
"What did Julian Keaton say to you?" Caden Lockwood was more concerned about his own question.
"Huh?" Evelyn Morgan was taken aback, her ears turning red again, "Nothing, nothing at all! He said nothing!"
"Nothing?" Caden Lockwood raised an eyebrow, "But ever since I returned from the restroom, you’ve been anxious and guilty, not even daring to look at me. Are you sure he said nothing?"
"He really didn’t say anything!" Evelyn Morgan insisted, "Uncle, you’re too sensitive! We’ve both had enough to eat, so should we go back?"
Caden Lockwood kept a stern face; since Evelyn Morgan refused to speak, he couldn’t force her.
Anyway, once he asks Julian Keaton, the truth will come out...
Meanwhile, Julian Keaton had already forcibly gotten Cecilia Lynch into the car.
"Mr. Keaton!" Cecilia Lynch’s voice was choked with sobs, "Let me out of the car, I still have to go to work!"
"Mr. Keaton?" Julian Keaton let out a cold chuckle, "Cecilia Lynch, I received your invitation!"
"No!" Cecilia Lynch instinctively tried to evade.
She suddenly recalled Julian Keaton saying that if she called him "Mr. Keaton" again, he would deal with her anytime, anywhere.
But it was already too late.
Julian Keaton pinned Cecilia Lynch down, his strong body restraining her, gripping her hands so tightly that she had no strength to struggle.
"Can’t you tell? Caden Lockwood did it on purpose! I was never secretly meeting any socialite!" Julian Keaton growled in anger.
"You’re mistaken, whoever you’re with has nothing to do with me," Cecilia Lynch turned her eyes away, "I am merely your contract lover. Once the contract expires, I’ll leave."
"Cecilia Lynch!" Julian Keaton’s face darkened with anger, "Must you provoke me to be satisfied?"
