SSS Awakening: I Can Steal Attributes-Chapter 34: Goblin Slayer
The goblin settlement looked primitive. They were situated amidst the trees, packed together with mini houses made of dried leaves and twigs.
As long as their number was enough, goblins could basically live and form a settlement anywhere. They mostly form their houses using what materials were available. And if they find a cave in the vicinity, they would use those too.
If it were a cave-type goblin settlement, everything would have been simpler for Desther. In that way, he would be able to utilize a lot of strategy to clear them out without compromising his safety.
Counting the goblins roaming around, Desther estimated them to be more than twenty-five, including the juveniles.
The mission stated that he must kill 30 goblins, so he also assumed the number would be about that much.
Desther looked at his Profile Status and noticed the vast difference compared to thirty minutes ago.
Aside from his attributes resetting to normal levels, his Theft Mark count also returned to five.
The Theft Mark, which can debuff his enemy and buff his own attributes, was the source of his confidence for taking the goblins head-on. The Magic Bullet skill was just a bonus that could allow him to finish the task quicker.
Just to be safe, though, Desther planned to allocate all his Free Attributes for an increase in overall strength.
With 29 Free Attributes remaining, and still undecided as to what kind of build he would pursue, Desther planned to distribute them evenly for the time being.
Since he could earn a lot of attributes through his Ultimate Thief talent, he could just focus the next batch of Free Attributes to the attributes he wanted to focus on.

After distributing the Free Attributes and making his attributes reach a balanced state, Desther’s Profile Status finally had some changes.
[ Attributes ]
VIT(Vitality): 14
STR(Strength): 13
AGI(Agility): 13
INT(Intelligence): 13
WIS(Wisdom): 13
Vitality affects one’s physique. The body’s defense, resistance, endurance, and stamina as well as its recovery. The higher the number, the stronger one’s body would be.
Strength affects one’s lifting power and burst, as well as physical attacks.
Agility, on the other hand, affects one’s speed, dexterity, balance, and accuracy.
Intelligence enhances one’s thinking capability, mental capacity, and magic damage as well as mana capacity.
On the other hand, Wisdom encompasses one’s awareness, perception, intuition, and, among other things.
Anyway, each attribute does not only increase or enhance one body aspect.
Each attribute increase works simultaneously with others, and one might even say that an increase in Strength could also affect one’s speed, which is usually related to the Agility Attribute.
Increasing the WIS Attribute also increases mental capacity, which was usually increased using INT.
The moment Desther distributed the Free Attributes to his attributes, he could immediately tell the vast difference between him now and him earlier.
Unlike when he was just stealing the attributes and gaining temporary enhancements, Desther could feel that the strength and increase was definitely his and would not go away.
His body became more resilient, and he could feel raw power coursing through his veins as he clenched his fist with all his might.
At least twice stronger compared to his earlier self, Desther felt even more confident in taking the goblin settlement alone.
Since a goblin’s attributes usually only range from 3 to 6, his current attributes were definitely enough to overpower those midgets.
In fact, even without using the Theft Mark, he would still feel confident about defeating all of them.
Nevertheless, he was not so foolish to truly kill them all without using his Theft Mark. These were walking free attribute points, after all.
While he was observing, Desther saw a goblin getting closer toward his location.
Judging by its appearance as well as the wooden spear it was holding, Desther guessed that it might be a goblin patrol.
Casting Theft Mark, he gained 2 AGI attributes while the goblin patrol lost the 2.
With its speed significantly lowered, Desther immediately bolted forward and cast Magic Bullet toward it.
His fingers clicked as the outline of the Magic Bullet formed and shot toward the goblin instantaneously.
Magic Bullet deals magic damage toward the target. With his INT now doubled compared to before, he also noticed that the Magic Bullet he was able to release seemed to be much stronger.
Not only that, he also felt that he could land it easier toward the target.
The head of the goblin patrol was punctured the moment the bullet landed.
The commotion immediately attracted the attention of the other goblins nearby.
With his enhanced WIS, his perception was significantly higher compared to before.
Slight movements were immediately captured; his eyes roamed around, casting one Theft Mark one after the other.
"So slow!"
He muttered under his breath as he saw a spear flying toward his face.
Deflecting the spear with the dagger, he twisted his body to the side and snapped his finger with his other hand.
Another Magic Bullet was formed as he aimed it right through its neck.
SWOOSH!
Unlike guns, his Magic Bullet does not produce the booming sound every time he uses them.
It was silent, but definitely deadly and lethal.
The goblin’s neck was torn grotesquely as the Magic Bullet pierced right through it without any resistance. Its eyes faded into oblivion, its body slumping to the ground devoid of any strength.
Desther kicked the falling goblin away. His vision and body coordinated seamlessly.
Casting another Theft Mark and using Attribute Theft immediately after, he was like the harbinger of death as goblins fall one after the other around him.
As expected, with the combination of his original attributes, as well as the Theft Mark’s utility, killing the goblins was significantly easier.
When he was already at the twentieth goblin, Desther was only slightly fatigued.
However, at this point, he realized that he could only use the Magic Bullet two more times before it would fail to be cast.
It was then that he realized the limits of his current mana capacity.
Anyway, he might be out of mana, but he was definitely not out of other options.
Gripping the dagger, Desther eyed the next goblin with clear intention.
