Chapter 1593: Smoke Clears and Dust Settles (IV)

Li Hao had not come here to run. He knew that he was too weak as a fourth rank; he also didn’t have hopes for himself to kill a seventh rank. He thought of himself in the same role as Void—I’m just support. There’s only one primary attacker, and that’s the Sword Sovereign!

“We’ll keep at it with him!” called out the young man. “Void can revitalize Senior Sword Sovereign again. He has a ton of Sources of Light! We can wear him away to death!”

The Sword Sovereign nearly cursed out loud. I'm telling you to run because I may not be able to kill him! How are you so obtuse, kid? Do you want me to just say that I don’t have the ability to kill a seventh rank?

Wear him away to death... Even if that Void has a lot of Source of Light to spare, that’s not how they should be wasted.

Meanwhile, Clarity sneered and sent a wave of Red Moon strength throughout the universe, particularly toward Void’s location. You guys want to wear me down? I’ll let you guys try!

It won’t necessarily be me who’s worn down in the end!

Void’s eyes widened with shock and he summoned the world of emptiness. He crushed the Red Moon power, but at a significant cost. At this rate, he would consume his own dao strength before he could revitalize the Sword Sovereign again.

“Shock!” growled Clarity, infuriated by how things had turned out. The Red Moon strength rumbled in response. Whether it was Li Hao, Void, or even the Sword Sovereign, they found that their hearts jolted and they inexplicably lost concentration for a moment.

Shock!

Their great daos did indeed seem to be frightened to the point of shock and losing control. Even the Sword Sovereign’s blow of a myriad swords trembled. It was rebuffed and began breaking up!

Clarity expended a great deal of dao strength from the move—he sneered, waiting for this moment. He’d wanted to save this for when the Sword Sovereign sought to flee, but now... since these ants wished to play, let’s play.

Void was beginning to feel that he might split apart! He was furiously deploying his dao strength and the world of emptiness was falling apart. He and the Sword Sovereign were the primary attack targets.

Li Hao was weaker; his dao river shook violently from the aftershocks and dao stars fell into the waters like spooked animals. The river was no longer stable. Within the waters, the sword seal, sword stone, and sword tree manifested with looks of horror. They trembled like leaves, deathly afraid of dying.

What a terrifying ability! It intimidated the very core of a great dao!

When the faint hue of time appeared, it reversed time for a split second. The sword trio disappeared, no longer afraid. The falling stars rose back up and the look of fear on Li Hao’s face dispersed by a great deal.

Void furrowed his brows when he sensed the lack of energy within him. He’d withstood that blow, but it’d taken too much out of him. He could not manage another revitalization.

Clarity was in the same position, but he smirked. Got more Source of Light? You don’t, do you! Do you really think I couldn’t do anything about you guys?

Everyone was nearing the dregs of their reserves, but it was still a worthwhile deal for Clarity because he occupied the first mover’s advantage.

A long river appeared within the void with a star suspended in it. The Sword Sovereign was furiously brainstorming ways to run when he raised his eyebrows, having sensed something. He cast a glance at Li Hao out of the corner of his eye, gaping when he saw that the young man had become a sword!

Indeed, the young man’s dao meridians had manifested and the dao stars returned to his body. He’d become part of the river and transformed into a sword!

The dao meridians of Silver Moon were a sword to begin with!

Is he doing this for me? wondered the Sword Sovereign. But... you’re only a fourth rank! There’s not much use I can get out of a fourth rank sword. I need a seventh rank sword for this guy!

Clarity noticed the development at the same time and thought the same as the Sword Sovereign. This guy... turned himself into a sword? The fuck is a fourth rank sword good for? I mean, it’s good, but it’s of limited use to the Sword Sovereign.

And the truth was... Li Hao really had become a sword. “Senior, use me against the enemy!”

A broadsword flew toward the Sword Sovereign. The man cursed to himself, but had to respond with, “I will, thank you for your generosity!”

I’ll just... think of it as you running away with me.

Clarity took a few steps back when the Sword Sovereign struck; the former sniffed dismissively and didn’t do anything to stop his opponent. So what if you have a fourth rank sword? That’s a constraint at your level!

The Silver Moon king is far too arrogant!

When the broadsword landed in the Sword Sovereign’s hands, Void’s jaw also dropped. Is... there any use to Li Hao?

The Sword Sovereign took stock of the sword when he grasped it and found it... decent enough. He just didn’t have any use for it. He might kill the kid instead if he erupted with too much strength!

It wouldn’t be the first time I ruin a weapon. A sword that’s too weak can’t handle my destructive powers. I wouldn’t have thrown away Stellaris in the first place otherwise.

That sword had only been an ordinary weapon. He’d been concerned that he’d snap the sword after one blow.

“As strong as the senior is, you are hard pressed to kill a seventh rank.” Li Hao’s voice appeared in the Sword Sovereign’s mind. “If one blow isn’t enough, how about two, three, or four overlaid with each other?”

“Three blows overlaid will be enough for me to kill him, it’s just that...” responded the Sword Sovereign without having to think of his answer.

“If the Sword Sovereign can overlay four blows on each other, that will ensure success!”

Would I need you to say that if I was sure I could do it? This is horse shit!

And yet, the Sword Sovereign didn’t retort. I’ll do it if you say so. The kid’s words gave him a bizarrely familiar feeling, like he’d returned to the past of one thousand years ago. Someone had once commanded him in a similar fashion too—another weakling!

That weakling had later become very strong—the New Martial Human King. This had been his style back in the day as well. Who cares if it’ll work or not? Just kill him first. How do you know if you can kill him or not if you don’t try?

“That was fast!” An astonished Li Hao had been ready to expend more effort on convincing the Sword Sovereign, but the man was already raising his arm in action!

A current of a myriad daos instantly gathered in the sword. Li Hao could detect unbounded killing intent and for the first time, sensed what was so terrifying about the Eternal Sword. The world changed color and sheer domination flared with the sword’s eruption. Even Clarity was taken aback.

So the Sword Sovereign didn’t want to live any longer or run? He hadn’t kept anything back in that blow and wasn’t worried that he’d die after consuming all of his reserves. He’s a dead man so long as I block this move!

The sword in the Sword Sovereign’s hand creaked and groaned as it began to shatter.

“Reverse!” A formidable rush of time materialized from Li Hao. Time reversed!

Time wasn’t only used to borrow strength. I’ve reversed it many times as well, mostly on myself. This time, I’ll use it on the Sword Sovereign. The young man was going to reverse time so that the Sword Sovereign’s blow returned to him to be folded on itself. It would be the same as when Li Hao reversed his sword intent to kill the chaos beast.

The Sword Sovereign immediately felt a unique force covering himself. The energy that he’d just expended seemed about to recover, but not quite. There wasn’t quite enough.

Void raised an eyebrow—it was his strength that’d spontaneously come back.

Li Hao hadn’t chosen to reverse the Sword Sovereign’s energy in order to avoid certain trouble. That would mean revitalizing a Sword Sovereign in full battle strength. That amount of consumption was not something he could support!

But a newly risen sixth rank Void? That, he could try.

When Void sensed the return of his energy, he summoned the world of emptiness without Li Hao needing to say anything. A small flower appeared beneath the Sword Sovereign’s feet.

The man immediately understood!

His energy recovered and sword intent manifested out of thin air into his hand. The sword intent that he’d struck with before congealed in the air. When the two blows overlaid atop each other, his strength was once more depleted!

And then Void felt his energy return again... He promptly utilized the method of revitalization!

The Sword Sovereign’s energy recovered again and another blow was at hand!

Three blows were overlaid on top of each other faster than one could think. Li Hao wanted to undergo the process one more time when he felt enormous danger descend. He knew that trouble was at hand—the chaos tribulation!

It wasn’t just himself, but also Void. Whether it was revitalization or emptiness, just one of those daos alone wouldn’t provoke a chaos tribulation. But both of them together was incredible trouble.

Both of their tribulations were at hand. Even the dao of hiding couldn’t really conceal everything. But it was good that the tribulation was here! It was time to try what Li Zhu had said—stealing the sky and substituting a fake sun!

“Cut him down!” Li Hao’s voice sounded in the Sword Sovereign’s ears. The blow of three times swung at Clarity without second word.

The Sword Sovereign had actually been waiting for the fourth blow, but it hadn’t been forthcoming. It looked like the kid like to talk a big talk as well. You said I should overlay four blows, but you gave out at three!

“Break!” The three blows became one with a yell.

Clarity stared, dumbfounded. What kind of ability was this?? How could the Sword Sovereign complete the layering of three blows in a split second?

There was no time to think. One blow alone could harm him and three wouldn’t just deliver three times the damage—it was potentially fatal!

His dao domain appeared to compress the world. An indescribable amount of energy erupted as the dao universe was once more brought over!

Bam!

The sword destroyed everything and pulverized the dao domain with its triple combined force. The domain toppled with a loud crash and Clarity’s durable physical body broke apart from the blow!

A red moon rose from the remains—his source of dao. It ejected domineering Red Moon strength, covering the broadsword. Two currents of energy swept through the world in rumbling fashion. The sword shattered and the dao origin was in very poor shape.

Within the red moon, Clarity was still goggling at the strength of the blow. However, a keen glint quickly entered his eyes. I blocked it! I’m not dead!

Meanwhile, a bashful look entered the Sword Sovereign’s eyes. He didn’t say anything; everything could be read from his eyes. I said that I’d kill him with three blows... but it looks like I was a bit off...

Whether it was himself, Void, or Li Hao, all three seemed to be at the end of their tether. He was so very apologetic!

At the same time, it would be fine since Ole Zhang’s replica was still outside.

The sword in his hand bloomed with a faint power of a domain. It enveloped everyone as Li Hao attempted to utilize the method that Li Zhu had taught him. He transferred all of his presence, as well as Void’s, elsewhere.

Within the tattered red moon, Clarity was furiously pulling from the dao universe and preparing to recover. He suddenly discovered the addition of a unique strength within his dao origin—time, life and death, emptiness and revitalization...

It was very weak and this kind of attack would have almost no effect on him. Are these guys out of tricks? How are they bringing such a weak attack against me?

The dao domain vanished just as he thought these words. A thundercloud appeared in the sky, like it’d been waiting for a very long time. It was furious, having been deceived and lied to. Its rage had accumulated all this time and it would not be denied!

The thundercloud immediately transformed into a thunder tribulation that wasn’t too strong. It was peak sixth rank at most, weaker than the one that Li Hao had endured before. However, the circumstances this time were different.

Both sides had expended a great deal of resources and were heavily injured. This was when the thunder and lightning poured down.
