Chapter 1594: The Perils of the Martial World (I)

Kaboom!!

Clarity was sent into a daze when his tattered red moon was struck. What?! Why?? What does a thunder tribulation have to do with me? It should be striking those guys! They seemed to use a lot of special techniques to give the Sword Sovereign a chance to layer his blow three times, alright?!

Rumble rumble rumble!!

The thunder tribulation wouldn’t listen to any explanations. It struck again and again with immense fury. Five thunderbolts were upon them in the blink of an eye and the tattered red room was obliterated!

A weak shadow appeared with resentment and anger. Why are you hitting me?!

KABOOM!

The thunder tribulation rose again; Li Hao was back in human form. He, Void, and the Sword Sovereign were completely depleted, but they still struck without a word!

The world of emptiness shakily hovered into view, enveloping the shadow. Two rays of sword intent stabbed into it.

Boom!

The thunder tribulation arrived at the same time. A lost look of reluctance froze on the shadow’s face before it exploded.

Dao strength flowed out of it. The tribulation deflated after venting its anger and vanished when it sensed the dissipating presence.

......

At the same time, Red Moon major world.

Fiery red scored the sky and scarlet energy flooded outward. The world split open as the firmament broke apart!

Some exalted emperors gaped with shock. A premier existence had fallen! But who? A seventh rank?

Inside a ponderously large hall, a person’s expression shifted radically. He tore through the firmament in a fit of detached madness and prepared to travel through the void!

Damn it! How can that bastard do it?! The Sword Sovereign does not possess the ability to kill a seventh rank!

The Red Moon master wasn’t even thinking about the consequences of his departure. He just wanted to rush to that site and kill everyone. Someone else from New Martial must have participated in order to kill Clarity! The Sword Sovereign couldn’t have really killed a seventh rank otherwise!

He was about to break through the dao universe when his eyes widened again. Two massive dao stars within the great dao shook violently!

The Red Moon master paled with horror. He could accept Clarity’s death, but how could the two sent to Skyward have suffered severe injuries at the same time? That wasn’t possible!

That was two premier exalted emperors, not one person! Not even an eighth rank could spontaneously wound them to this degree when the two of them acted in concert!

Something had happened—immense trouble!

Clarity was dead, there was nothing he could do about that. But these two could not die. The Red Moon master promptly redirected his power toward the two dao stars and sent his consciousness to them.

He saw a blade! A blade that broke through time and the world!

The stars shattered when the blade landed!

Someone stood beneath them with an innocent expression. “The fuck? I just hacked at them once... they’re not dead, are they?”

There was no sound.

“Human King!!” An outraged scream echoed around the Red Moon universe. The New Martial Human King had launched an ambush! He was the master of a premier world, but chose to strike from the shadows. How lowly, how despicable, what an asshole!

The illusory young man picked at his ear and collected a corpse. The other one fled as fast as he could. The Human King looked at him, then grinned up at the sky. “Thanks, eh!”

With that, the immensely excited Human King vanished.

The Red Moon master raged in a towering fit, suddenly not knowing which side to descend upon.

As he hesitated, a book appeared near the other dao star that’d broken first. “Thanks, eh!” smiled a person in the book.

“Bastards!”

Boom! The world fell apart!

......

Just as the Sword Sovereign cut down Clarity, Li Hao was still wondering if he needed to reverse time once more to defend against impending danger. What happened next shocked him.

The Sword Sovereign reached out and grabbed the supreme’s replica loitering on the outskirts. He kneaded the replica into a book and tossed it back out. “Quick, pretend that you’re the primary body!”

A book of dao appeared and darted into the dao universe somewhat worse for the wear. The book of dao erupted with scintillating light!

“Thanks, eh!” sounded the supreme’s voice. He reached out and grabbed a cat from Li Hao’s river. “Get him, Big Cat!”

Number Two looked around, bleary-eyed!

The Red Moon master was both enraged and dumbfounded. The dao universe writhed madly in the blink of an eye, expelling both the supreme’s replica and Number Two with a rumble. It then sealed shut!

Li Hao’s jaw dropped! What had just happened now??

The supreme’s replica began fading away and the book of dao crumbled. “What are you waiting for?? Run!”

The Sword Sovereign grabbed his two stunned assistants and ran as fast as he could! What were these two fools waiting around for? Run!!

They had intimidated their enemy into inaction for the moment, could they do so forever? They would die here if they didn’t run!

He vanished, darted into the chaos. The Sword Sovereign ran in a way different from others. It was like... he was burrowing through a tunnel. He hovered in and out of sight, sometimes appearing, sometimes vanishing from view. He slowly made his way off the premises.

Behind him, the supreme’s replica fully faded away. He remained hooting, “Cower in your dao universe forever if you have the balls too! New Martial is here and will take down a dao universe!”

Boom!

The book of dao disintegrated in a fiery explosion, sweeping everything away in a heat wave and destroying all traces of battle.

This was cleanup duty!

The young were immature. They didn’t know that they needed to clean up the battlefield after they were done. The enemy couldn’t be permitted any clues when they came looking.

Bam!!

Everything dissolved into the chaos and everything was obliterated.

A dazed Li Hao and Void were dragged away.

Outside Skyward.

A group of stunned onlookers was so flabbergasted that they couldn’t collect their senses. When Fog Mountain met the two seventh ranks in battle, although Fog Mountain was strong, going one against two meant that the battle wasn’t taken seriously on either side.

They were just stretching their legs; no one could really do anything to the other. If Fog Mountain could kill a seventh rank opponent when he was outnumbered, then he would no longer be Fog Mountain. He would be the Skycloud master.

In the same vein, the two premier Red Moon seventh ranks wouldn’t dare actually kill Fog Mountain. It wasn’t a matter of whether they could or not, but that Skycloud was closer to Skyward than Red Moon.

They’d be setting themselves against Skycloud if they killed Fog Mountain. In fact, Red Moon had secret dealings with Skycloud, which was also why the two were puzzled. Why was Fog Mountain attacking them?

As it turned out... the three of them weren’t taking the conflict seriously!

The rest had been watching the show when a newcomer struck out of the blue. If it wasn’t for Fog Mountain immediately backing away when he sniffed a bit of danger, that blow might not have landed on Siren of Red Moon. It had been headed for him.

Although Fog Mountain evaded it, the blow had come from a premier seventh rank—a heavyweight who’d killed seventh rank masters of the world before.

People said that the New Martial Human King was brutal and brash, but he showed an insidious side when he ambushed others. There was no sign or clue whatsoever before he made a move. His opening blow was one at full strength, one delivered without any forewarning!

The Human King struck without hesitating, not even contemplating what would happen if the three seventh ranks jointly turned on him instead, or if the observing seventh ranks joined the fight...

That was not a concern!

Or perhaps he was supremely confident that the rest wouldn’t dare make a move if he killed one of them. He’d kill whoever twitched! Who dared step forward when life and death were on the line?

In reality, the situation developed as he thought. On the other hand, he was also surprised that he’d killed a seventh rank with one blow. That was weak! I hacked her dead, just like that? She’s so trash!

The group was petrified with horror. Siren had fallen to one blow! The other Red Moon seventh rank fled for his life. Red Velarium was as pale as a sheet. There was one overwhelming thought in his mind—run!

Flee as far away as possible! It was the New Martial Human King!

Red Velarium had thought that perhaps the Red Moon master would appear in person given that Siren had been killed. Perhaps he’d follow the traces of her shattered great dao to assess such a major happening. The Red Moon master could do that. With the Human King being at Skyward, that removed some of the passivity one was forced into when having to defend.

And yet, the Red Moon did not do so. He permitted Siren to die!

Red Velarium didn’t have time to sense or think why his world master had chosen not to react. He would understand if he had a moment to do so—they were beset with enemies!

A seventh rank had died here, as had a seventh rank died over there. The Human King was here, whereas the New Martial supreme and Ash Emperor were over there. It might spark uncontrollable trouble if the Red Moon master left his world to descend upon either battlefield.

Losing two seventh ranks at once shook the dao universe. The Red Moon master was busy placating it and reassuring his people. There were also a multitude of other arrangements to be made, including setting up defenses on his own world. He truly could not afford to leave.

What immediately came to mind was that this was a New Martial conspiracy, that they wanted him to leave Red Moon. No one could hold down the fort in his absence, which might provide an opening for extremely undesirable consequences.

New Martial’s Sun God was yet to be spotted, and a whole host of their premier exalted emperors were yet to appear. Perhaps New Martial’s goal was Red Moon!

Red Moon was a major eighth rank world with an eighth rank master of the world and an eighth rank dao universe. One eighth rank couldn’t break his defenses if he was in residence. Two might not do it either.

But if he left, then perhaps just one seventh rank could do the deed!
