Chapter 3450: Carve Some Words

If Lu Yin was recognized as not being from the Consciousness Megaverse, people would understand that there was only one other possibility: the Tianyuan Megaverse.

This reveal would cause the Grandverse Manor to be besieged by all of the Spirit Nidus’s major forces.

Of course, this was also the worst-case scenario that Lu Yin and the others had originally anticipated. Already, the High Seraph, the Seven Seraphs, and the Wisdom Domain knew that Boundless was from the Tianyuan Megaverse, but none of them had exposed that information. That meant that Lu Yin could continue with his plan, despite the fact that proceeding could easily place the Grandverse Manor into a passive position.

Lu Yin explained the new situation as soon as he returned to the Grandverse Manor.

The Origin Progenitor was taken aback. "You no longer need to resolve your karma?"

Lu Yin glanced around, a solemn expression on his face. "If I need to resolve my karma, then we will always be the ones reacting. The High Seraph doesn't need to expose the fact that we are from the Tianyuan Megaverse. This isn’t just because he's afraid that we might reveal his secret, but also because he has always been the one in control.

"He took Palace Master Yao’s spirit weapon, knowing that destroying it would make me suffer karmic backlash. This was extremely easy for him, and he did so without any effort.

"He believes that he can kill me whenever he wants and that he controls whether I live or die.

"He wants us here, which means that we are working for him. While I don't yet understand his true goal, we need to change our strategy.

"We won’t change our overall goal of sowing chaos in the Spirit Nidus, but personally, I need to break free from the Spirit Nidus’s constraints. I can’t remain under the High Seraph’s control. That means walking the path of karma and my Karmic Dao. To do so, I need to challenge this megaverse’s greatest experts.

"Altering my behavior might also make the High Seraph change, and this could expose us as being from the Tianyuan Megaverse to the entire Spirit Nidus, which would mean being attacked by the entire megaverse.

"Still, we need to do this. Everyone, the High Seraph is not an easy opponent, and neither is the Spirit Nidus. Our real crisis has only just begun."

The others were not bothered by this change. From the moment they had boarded Boundless, they had all believed themselves to already be dead.

Invading a region that was far stronger than their home megaverse meant that death was a constant companion.

Everyone who had left aboard Boundless had had their name recorded down in the Tianyuan Megaverse’s history.

Moving away from the Grandverse Manor in order to challenge the Spirit Nidus’s most powerful cultivators and expand his Karmic Dao would not be an easy path to take.

While Lu Yin might seem to be strong enough to dominate the Spirit Nidus, unless the High Seraph stepped out, that might not necessarily be true.

He would face an entire megaverse. Just how many incredible cultivators had risen to power throughout the entire history of the Spirit Nidus? There were no rules stating that Lu Yin had to fight in one-on-one matches. Such rules would not even be considered. The High Seraph had not been prepared to counter Lu Yin’s new strategy. However, there was the Wisdom Domain, the Gate of Laws, and Heavenspire, which was actually the Lesser Spirit Megaverse, which meant an entirely new megaverse to deal with. While the Lesser Spirit Megaverse might not have anyone at the High Seraph’s level, it still could not be underestimated.

Leaving the Grandverse Manor was not enough on its own.

After several days, the Grandverse Manor released a declaration that their Third Boss would go to the Ascendant Hall and carve the name “Boundless” outside of the Apex Palace.

Such a bold claim caused the entire Spirit Nidus to roil with excitement.

This was no longer as simple as challenging the greatest cultivators in the megaverse. If Lu Yin actually carved Boundless outside of the Apex Palace, the entire Spirit Nidus would lose face.

Lu Yin was forcing the Spirit Nidus’s hand, while also forcing himself.

His Karmic Dao meant that he needed to walk the most difficult path available in order to gain the strongest Karmic Dao.

True God had recultivated his sequence particles and developed the Law of Dao Convergence, and Lu Yin would create his Karmic Dao that surpassed all others.

This was also karma.

The stronger the karmic cause, the more impressive the karmic effects .

There were no true shortcuts. The Karmic Dao encompassed everything in existence in the vast megaverse.

On Boundless, Cai Keqing met with Lu Yin.

She had not seen him again after boarding Boundless. All of the rumors and speculations circulating outside were completely wrong.

Cai Keqing had not been able to determine why Boundless had requested her. The Third Boss was not at all what she had imagined.

Finally, she was speaking with him.

"I need a maid," Lu Yin stated bluntly.

Cai Keqing's face clearly showed her confusion, but she remained calm and composed. She knew that she was not good with words, so she did not ask any questions and instead simply nodded.

"Wait for me at the bow of the ship." With that, Lu Yin turned around and left.

There were too many restrictions in the Spirit Nidus, and the Grandverse Manor had already violated many of them. As for Lu Yin, he was deliberately poking the Spirit Nidus’s more sensitive emotional topics, such as Cai Keqing, Yu Shan, and his outrageous declarations. All of those were examples.

In fact, there was also Palace Master Yao. The woman was known as one of the Ascendant Hall’s Absolute Duo, and she enjoyed just as many admirers as Cai Keqing. The difference was that Palace Master Yao enjoyed such a lofty position that no one dared to even think about her in such a manner.

Lu Yin intended to bring the woman down from her pedestal. By doing so, he would make it so that anyone would dare to think about her.

Lu Yin released his inner universe. Inside his Champions' Stage, Palace Master Yao's face was pale, and her eyes were tightly closed. She was struggling to keep her mind from collapsing.

It was as though she was walking down the same path again, seeing the same people along the way. There were enemies, benefactors, those she cared about, and those who had caused her to feel despair.

Karma forced her to constantly repeat the past. It was a cycle that led to total desperation.

While she had only been imprisoned for a few days, which seemed short, those first few days were the most difficult to endure. If she could get through them, she would need to either accept what she needed to endure and grit her teeth, or suffer having her mind broken.

However, given her strength, Palace Master Yao’s mind would not be easily broken.

Even so, she did not want to continue suffering the cycles of karma. She had been sent to purgatory. Specifically, a purgatory for cultivators.

What she was experiencing would not be so terrible for an ordinary human. How complicated could the karma of an ordinary individual be?

Cultivators walked the path of slaughter, and they survived by fighting for their lives.

"Do you want to be released?" Lu Yin’s voice reached Palace Master Yao’s ears.

Her eyes snapped open. They were filled with confusion, and she seemed rather dazed. "How can I get out?"

"Serve as my maid."

"Alright," Palace Master Yao agreed without any hesitation.

She emerged from the Karmic Dao and stood before Lu Yin.

Palace Master Yao no longer carried the same sense of unparalleled elegance as before. Her demeanor had changed dramatically, and she had developed a sense of softness and suffering. However, her new aura incited people to want to protect her even more than ever.

Lu Yin raised his hand as he slowly walked towards the woman.

Palace Master Yao instinctively wanted to retreat, but then she remembered how she had been used by the High Seraph, as well as the scenes she had just witnessed. She restrained herself and allowed Lu Yin's finger to touch her cheek. It was very soft to the touch.

Lu Yin smiled slightly and retracted his hand. "Remember, you are now my maid. You will need to learn how to say sweet words that please your master."

Palace Master Yao was left confused. Sweet words? What did that even mean?

Seeing Palace Master Yao's reaction, Lu Yin understood that such a thing was beyond the woman’s abilities.

"Did you never flatter the High Seraph when you were with him?" Lu Yin asked.

Palace Master Yao's eyes grew sharply focused at the mention of the High Seraph. Hatred flickered in her eyes. "No. He used me to train his heart to be as solid as Everstone with my Absolute Reversal."

Lu Yin already knew about this. He had originally wanted to mend his karma with Palace Master Yao, but after suffering from karmic backlash, there was no longer a need to mend that karma.

Lu Yin had already learned about the relationship between Palace Master Yao and the High Seraph in the branch stream of the River of Aeons.

How should he put it? The woman was nothing more than a whetstone. Everything else about her was irrelevant.

It was certainly possible that she really was the most powerful cultivator in the Spirit Nidus beneath the Seven Seraphs. But given her strength, there were most likely other experts who surpassed her despite not being Seraphs. They were Lu Yin’s true targets.

Palace Master Yao was unable to offer any flattery, which meant that Lu Yin needed to find someone who could. He missed the Ghost Monkey, Ku Wei, and even the Blaze Realm’s Elder Qin. They were all so talented in that regard.

For that matter, Lu Yin had someone already available with that same skill.

Old Tao stared at Lu Yin in confusion. "I... am I to go as well?"

Lu Yin replied matter-of-factly, "I don’t know much about the Spirit Nidus, so how can you not accompany me?"

Old Tao desperately wanted to refuse. He had already been forced aboard the vile ship, which meant that, just like Yuan Qi, Old Tao was an enemy of the entire Spirit Nidus. His future was in question. If he followed Lu Yin on his next journey, Old Tao might become even more infamous than Yuan Qi in the Spirit Nidus.

However, the expression on Lu Yin’s face told the old man that he had no choice.

Lu Yin's eyes looked dangerous. "You don't plan on leaving our Grandverse Manor, do you, Second Boss?"

Old Tao quickly puffed out his chest. "Of course not! When I first met you, Young Master, I was immediately captivated by your poise. The Tianyuan Megaverse is a mythical place, and it has been my lifelong dream to get closer to the land of such legends so that I might admire their splendor. How could I possibly leave?

"I'll prepare myself immediately to accompany you, Young Master, on a tour of the Spirit Nidus. At the same time, I'll teach the immoral dogs and chickens of the Spirit Nidus so that they can see the grace of a young master from that mythical place."

Lu Yin was quite satisfied with the monologue, and he pointedly glanced at Palace Master Yao. That’s what flattery should sound like.

Palace Master Yao was dumbfounded. This old man had no shame at all.

She had climbed to her current status one step at a time. She had braved the many dangers of the cultivation world, risking her life against others. She had seen flattery before, but seeing a sequence powerhouse still resort to such sycophantic behavior was a first for her.

It had been so many years since she had seen such boot-licking that she had actually forgotten when she had last heard such words.

This old man was more nauseating than anyone else she had ever encountered.

Soon, Lu Yin left Boundless. His departure attracted the attention of countless people.

They had been waiting to see how the Third Boss would challenge the megaverse’s top experts. He would clearly make his way towards the Apex Palace, but he could not be allowed to carve anything in front of that place. Should that happen, the entire Spirit Nidus would be humiliated.

This Third Boss would undoubtedly be ambushed and killed.

When people saw Lu Yin, they were all stunned. He was just too leisurely and relaxed.

Lu Yin was lounging on an open wooden sedan chair styled as a litter. This litter was being carried by the Pridebeast and the Megalith.

The Megalith was at the front, its body upright. Its tail had split into two sections that it used to walk like a human with legs.

The Pridebeast was behind, steadily carrying the litter on its shoulders as it bared its teeth in an expression that suggested that the ape found the situation quite amusing.

There was also a stunningly beautiful woman on either side of Lu Yin: Palace Master Yao and Cai Keqing.

At the front was Old Tao, leading the way like a servant. While there was a smile on his face, it seemed forced.

If one looked closely, they would also notice a small golden toad perched atop the litter. The toad did not move, but anyone who had witnessed the battle in the Alin Domain knew how terrifyingly powerful the toad was.

This was Lu Yin and his entourage.

He lounged on the litter, wearing sunglasses while holding a folding fan. Everything about him screamed that he was an arrogant young noble.

He had never acted like this before.

Stirring up trouble and trying to create problems were not appropriate actions for the ruler of the Tianyuan Megaverse, but that was exactly what Lu Yin was doing.

No matter how much turmoil he created in the Spirit Nidus, it did not matter to him.

"Old Tao."

"At your service, Young Master."

"You’re the Second Boss."

"Of course. Third Boss, please tell me what you need."

"Where are we going?"

Old Tao was left speechless. This man had not even decided upon a destination?

"I want to carve some words onto the Apex Palace, so guide me there," Lu Yin stated.
