The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress-Chapter 702 - 743: Pregnant Women Are the Most Beautiful
"Adrian Desmond, who are they?" Sienna Johnson asked, looking at him with a puzzled expression. Adrian was wearing a tailor-made suit, his hair styled meticulously with mousse, his shoes shined to a gleam.
She then looked at Curly and Paige Desmond, both dressed in elaborate outfits.
Curly loved red and pink. At that moment, she wore a waist-cinching red silk skirt covered by a thin layer of red chiffon. Her hair was arranged in a slanted, nest-like style, adorned with a strawberry-shaped hair clip. Her big, spirited eyes, full of laughter, made her look so cute and beautiful.
Adrian said, "They are stylists!"
Sienna didn’t expect Adrian to be so thoughtful and considerate. He knew she had been worrying about her appearance for the upcoming birthday party and had even hired stylists for her!
Grateful, Sienna smiled at Adrian, and he returned her smile warmly.
"Mom, you’re so lazy! You always wake up so late, even later than me!"
Curly brought Sienna to the group of women, saying, "Beautiful Auntie, please help make my mom look pretty.
"My mom used to be a great beauty. But after she got pregnant with my brother, she became less beautiful."
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Sienna noticed that everyone else was dressed beautifully, while she was still in her maternity sleepwear with her hair a mess.
Sienna glanced at Adrian, who was watching her with an amused smile. Laugh all you want, what’s so funny? she thought, annoyed. "Everyone’s here. Why didn’t you wake me up earlier?" she retorted.
Paige explained, "Sister-in-law, my brother said that pregnant women need to have enough sleep, so we had to let you wake up naturally. Luckily, we only waited for an hour. I was afraid we would have to wait for three or four hours."
"Sorry," Sienna murmured. If I didn’t know Paige better, I’d almost think he was being sarcastic.
Paige waved his hand dismissively. "Why are you apologizing, Sister-in-law? There’s nothing more important than ensuring the well-being of my little nephew. Even if we waited all day, it wouldn’t be a bother.
"Brother, isn’t that right?" Paige playfully winked at Adrian, a teasing glint in his eye.
"We just waited an hour, no big deal. You sure talk a lot," Adrian said.
"I’m just trying to let Sister-in-law know how much you care about her! But if you don’t appreciate it, I won’t help you anymore."
"I was just worried about being late," Sienna interjected.
"Don’t worry, we have plenty of time," Adrian assured her.
"Madam, can we start doing your makeup now?" one of the staff asked.
"Go ahead," Adrian instructed.
"Yes, Sixth Master!"
Sienna hadn’t expected Adrian to have someone do her makeup. She sat next to Adrian, who was reading a newspaper, making rustling sounds.
"Madam, your skin is amazing. You don’t even need foundation; we can begin the makeup right away!" the staff praised her.
Sienna replied, "I eat bird’s nest every day. It has amazing benefits for women’s skin. I also happen to sell bird’s nests, so when you leave later, you can all take some with you."
Women love to look beautiful, so the other ladies didn’t hesitate and gratefully said, "Thank you, Madam."
"You’re welcome. If you like it, you can buy more from our Cloudscape Bird’s Nest factory later."
Adrian looked up from the newspaper and couldn’t help but comment, "Mrs. Desmond, you never miss an opportunity to promote your bird’s nests."
"Mr. Desmond, you focus on your newspaper, while we ladies discuss our beauty routines. If you don’t understand, then don’t butt in," Sienna retorted playfully.
The other ladies glanced nervously at Adrian, thinking he’d be angry. However, he simply shook his head helplessly.
It was well-known that Sixth Master adored his wife, and it seemed the rumors were true. These astute ladies quickly understood Sienna’s importance in Adrian’s heart, and they became even more attentive while doing her makeup.
After the makeup was done, it was time to try on clothes. Sienna was taken aback when she saw the figure-hugging evening gown.
"Um... I’m pregnant. Is such a tight-fitting dress really suitable for me?" Sienna asked. Accustomed to wearing loose maternity dresses, she found it hard to imagine herself in such a form-fitting outfit.
Her baby bump is a ’flaw,’ isn’t it? Shouldn’t flaws be hidden? But these stylists seem intent on emphasizing it. Do they actually know what they are doing? Sienna eyed them skeptically.
"Madam, a pregnant woman is the most beautiful. As Sixth Master’s woman, you don’t need to feel insecure about your body at all," one stylist replied, echoing Adrian’s earlier sentiments.
Another stylist added with a smile, "Madam, you have no idea how many people wish to be Sixth Master’s woman. But you are his wife, and you are carrying his child. That’s something so many women envy, so why would you want to hide it?"
Sienna understood their point now. I don’t need a perfect body or stunning looks, nor do I need extravagant clothes or expensive jewelry. As long as I’m associated with Adrian, that ’label’ alone is enough to make many women jealous, especially Melanie Carpenter.
"Alright, I’ll wear this dress," Sienna said, accepting their advice. Besides, this baby bump can’t really be hidden anyway.
"Madam, let me guide you to change your clothes."
"Thank you."
The dress was truly beautiful—a white, floor-length gown with delicate spaghetti straps. Its gentle, elegant, and somewhat loose design still accentuated the curve of her belly. Transparent lace at the waist and subtle pink accents complemented each other, and the gown exuded a radiant maternal glow.
Her makeup was perfectly matched to her elegant dress. As Sienna walked out slowly, her hand resting on her belly, she saw stunned admiration in Adrian’s eyes. At that moment, all her insecurities disappeared.
I truly have no reason to be insecure.
Perhaps others see my pregnant self as less beautiful, but in Adrian’s eyes, I’m still gorgeous.
Why should I care about the opinions of unrelated people?
"Do I look beautiful?" Sienna smiled at Adrian, longing to hear more praise from him. No matter how much he offered, it would never be too much for her.
"Beautiful! Mom looks so beautiful!" Curly chuckled.
"Beautiful!" Adrian said, his heart fluttering with admiration.
My woman is, and always will be, the most beautiful in the world!
Paige cast a glance at Sienna and sincerely exclaimed, "Sister-in-law, you look so beautiful! No wonder my brother loves you so much."
Sienna blushed slightly, a rosy hue spreading across her cheeks. Her twinkling, limpid eyes caught Adrian’s attention, and he felt a strong urge to rip off her clothes and ravage her then and there.
Of course, that can only be a fantasy for now, he thought. Sienna is heavily pregnant; I can’t touch her like that.
