The Crimson Reaper-Chapter 99: Give Me Back My Wife! (3)
With his hands on the ground, Luciel gave it his all, ignoring the flashing screen in front that turned red.
He could feel the runes trying to repeal him, to destroy his whole body, but if they wanted his Yin so badly, then let them have it!
Luciel roared as he gathered a huge amount of Yin, expelling it again, and finally, just like glass, the runes shattered.
The rest of the Qi that Luciel had spent dispersed, turning into a thick, gray mist.
The pain that was running wild across his body disappeared just like that and he could finally take a breath of relief.
This little stunt made him feel exhausted, but as he looked up, he saw that there was no room to rest as the blade of a silver axe was heading towards his neck.
He moved out of the way swiftly and headed right behind Dash who could only see a few centimeters in front due to the thick mist obscuring his vision.
’They dared to hurt Helen just to get me!’ Luciel’s eyes glowed vibrant red as he growled, his fury reaching its peak now when he was finally free, without needing to worry about his survival.
He was mad and hungry due to depleting a lot of his Qi. A blue screen warning him about his status wasn’t helping him either.
Luciel opened his mouth and went for a bite, there was no quicker way to replenish what he had lost but to feed, but before he got a chance to sink his fangs, Dash turned around, hitting him in the abdomen with the tip of the handle of the axe he was holding.
Due to the enchanted strength of the divine arts, Luciel slided backwards a few meters, dragging his claws against the floor to create friction so he could slow down.
"O Gods, I pray to you to show me the path and disperse the foul stench before me."
Luciel slowly got up with his hand on abdomen unconsciously, even if the hit didn’t hurt, it only felt a little bit numb for a minute.
He ignored George’s chanting that were coming from behind him, it was a harmless art to cleanse the mist he had summoned.
A gentle, bright light filled the room and Luciel’s mist started to diapers.
Luciel felt a tickling on his skin, if this art was any stronger, it could get uncomfortable.
"Luciel, I suggest you to give up now or your wife will pay the price!" George’s meanacing voice echoed through the warehouse, as he pulled Helen’s hair, forcing her to raise her head.
Hearing Helen’s screams, Luciel quickly turned around and could see a scene worse than than a horror movie.
He could detect Helen’s racing heartbeat, making his feelings of fear, sadness and mostly anger to intensify.
Quickly, he extended his hand and made a gun finger, condensing his Qi and shooting a mist bullet at the vial.

"No!" George shouted, seeing the test tube shattering between his fingers that didn’t go unharmed, they were bleeding.
"Mother fucker!" He groaned, shaking his hand, it hurted like hell.
The vampire blood that was inside the test tube got spilled everywhere, including the clothes, floor and Helen’s face, but luckily, she didn’t get the taste.
The room got filled with a sweet, honey like aroma that didn’t really help Luciel who was already feeling thirsty.
Luciel was about to say something as he got up, but Dash was already rushing towards him.
He glanced towards the hunter and detached the sword from his belt, throwing it on the side before getting into a battle stance.
The weapon would just get into his way since a sword cannot win against an axe, it would break in half.
Tensing his fingers, he ran towards him, moving out of the axe’s trajectory before grabbing Dash’s hands, digging his claws into warm flesh.
Not waiting even for a moment, Luciel pulled him closer, attempting another bite again.
After fighting multiple vampires, Dash could predict Luciel’s move. One bite and it would be over.
The hunter raised his leg and kicked Luciel in the stomack, sending him flying close to George and Helen.
"Luciel!" His wife shouted, pulling the chains that were attached to the ceiling.
"I’m fine..." He reassured her, looking at George who was casting divine art for healing, but just as he finished, Luciel got up, charging and firing one more mist bullet.
"In the name of holy spirit, I beg of you to cast the barrier to deflect the forces of evil."
A transparent yellow barrier appeared in front of George once he finished casting, focusing on the small, round bullet made from mist, slightly cracking the barrier before dissapearing.

The system warned Luciel about his status again, but he dismissed it, now it wasn’t time to worry about that. Losing himself to hunger was the least of his problems if he was going to die one way or another.
There was no time to think as Dash was already charging at Luciel, striking with his axe.
Luciel rolled out of the way, causing the axe to hit the concrete floor, tearing off the surface level.
The heavy axe got jammed and Luciel could see Dash trying to lift it up.
With all his might, on the third attempt, the hunter hauled up his weapon above the head, almost losing his balance.
Turning the moment into his advantage, Luciel bolted towards Dash, letting go of all of his restraints and kicked him in the side, sending him flying into the nearest wall, causing a crack.
The axe spun in the air where he once was and fell to the floor.
"You’re next," Luciel sent an intense glare towards his next opponent, using his both hands to lift up the axe, hurling it at George.
The support hunter thought that this was the end of him, but luck was on his side as the axe flew above his head, giving him a free haircut. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Due to its sheer size, the axe was hard to control, Dash needed all the blessings he could get to use it.
While not ideal for small and fast targets, its true power shined against heavy armored, slow targets.
"Me? Next?" George laughed uncontrollably, covering his fears and uncertainties.
He took out a small dagger from his pocket and pulled Helen’s head by the hair, pressing the blade against her neck, releasing a bit of red, thick liquid.
"Not a step forward, understand?" The hunter threatened, looking down on Luciel.
Luciel scowled at the demand, he had a need to erase him from the existence until his eyes fell on Helen who was just a victim in this power play.
’This disgusting bastard!’ Helen thought, having a fierce look in her eyes, she hadn’t given up, but there was no way she could help either right now...
Luciel was struggling against Dash and who knows how much energy he had left for another battle right after.
"Kneel," George ordered, making an eye contact with an enraged vampire.
If he could, Luciel would already shovel George’s head with mist bullets, but he was sure that during his fight with Dash, he casted some kind of barrier around him. Doing so was too risky.
His eyes were darting around, trying to find a way out until he could hear faint voices from somewhere nearby since the door he entered through were still open.
’Helen holds an important part in their survival, they should be conducting a search,’ While not liking the idea of enthrusting their fate to others, there wasn’t a better option.
Clicking with his tongue and raising his hands up as a surrender sign, Luciel went down on one knee.
"Now what?"
