The dragon's harem-Chapter 1210: Flexing Size
Arad and his group walked through the massive halls of the Storm Titan's castle. To his surprise, Alice could use size magic better than he could, and she was able to make Claug as big as them. She also was the one who made the enchanted carriage bigger, but it was Arad who carried it behind them with gravity magic.
As they walked through the hallway, both Arad and Claug kept their frightful presence on, sending shivers down the titans' spines. But even if Claug was already going all out with her presence, Arad still had to hold back quite a bit. He didn't want the Titans to know of his full power just yet. It helped a lot of people underestimate him, but not to the point of trying to insult him.
The level of power Arad was showing now is enough for him to blast the Titan's castle into a sea of flames. That was like being able to blow a castle instead of the whole capital. He was still a monster that they knew could kill them.
Arad needed to keep the persona of the powerful ruler, the emperor of the newly rising empire. They had sent Tyal to marry him for a reason after all, that reason is because they knew his power would help solidify the rule of their new king. Tyal's father, Gale.
The Titans stared at Arad's group. A Black Dragon? No, he looked a bit different than black dragons. Beside him was a powerful green drakaina; they knew her, the infamous Claug, the Witch Doctor, and the Queen of Plagues. Behind them was a storm titan, Alice Dagon, the archmagus, and the founder of the adventurers' guild
Their emperor seems to have gathered several powerful women from all around the world. They've heard a lot about the people around him, but none of the titans expected Claug and Alice to show up. One was of their kind, and the other was a monster that no one knew how to deal with.
Arad could already hear whispers far away in the streets and in the other chambers of the castle. He didn't want to show his power, but that didn't mean he had to weaken his senses. The titans were already discussing how to kill him and the women in case something happened. Their conversation was a bit funny. First, they were thinking that leaving a 50km distance between them and Arad and bombarding him from a distance would work.
Some others were trying to discuss how they could convince Alice to set her base in the mountains. As one of their race, they wanted her to live in the storm mountains instead of alone in the middle of the sea. Some were even making arrangements to empty a whole mountain twice the size of her island for her. None of them knew that she had left because the thundering roar of the storm was too annoying to endure. Unless they can silence the storm, she will never settle here.
Their conversations about Claug were grim; none of the titans seemed to be optimistic about dealing with her, and for a different reason than just power. Claug was known to be a master of poisons and diseases. Whether they kill her or not, she would've unleashed a plague on them that would kill the whole race eventually.
Arad wanted to smile, but he kept his stern face, not even sparing the titans walking around them a glance. The reason he arrived here was simple: to mend a few details with Tyal's father, Gale.
Gale had ordered his daughter to go and offer herself as a wife to the newly emerging emperor, a political marriage to bolster the power and reputation of his rule. He was also the one who said that she must aim for a wife, nothing less. Arad was here to challenge that using the convincing nature of dragons.
Tyal was weaker than Alice; the first was a mere talented princess, and Alice is an ancient magus with magical power beyond most people's comprehension. Arad was stronger than both, so they were his wives, and he was the dominant one. By the dragon's rules, the weaker wife is inferior to the stronger one, and thus, Tyal should be a concubine beneath Alice.
Most people in the world understood how dragons think, so this situation should've been expected. What Gale didn't expect was Alice's presence.
Soon, Arad and the women reached the throne room where Gale was sitting on his throne. The massive throne was carved of a single block of black ice, decorated with golden silver and the skulls of horrid monsters.
Four titan women stood around the throne, two on each side. Those were Gale's wives; the one at the far right was Tyal's mother. She spared her daughter a glance and a smile before Gale spoke.
"Arad Orion, Emperor of the joined kingdoms." He glared down at them. The titan was massive, dwarfing even his kind who stood at around a hundred meters tall. Gale stood at around 1.8 kilometers. The titans barely reached his shins, and he looked like an ancient ruler from a forgotten age. Tall, wearing a light tunic with large muscles beneath his gray skin. His hair was short and black, his beard was cleanly shaved, and his eyes flashed with a gray radiance of pure might.
His wives were also massive compared to the other titans; the shortest one stood at 0.9 kilometers, and the tallest was Tyal's mother at 1.7 kilometers. It seems size directly reflects the power of a titan, and the royals were in a league of their own.
Tyal looked at Arad and then stepped forward. Her body immediately expanded, and she grew bigger. Soon, Tyal stood at 1.75 kilometers tall, almost reaching her father's size. She was close to him in raw power, but from Zeus's words, Tyal should far outclass her father because she is a more skilled mage and fighter.
Tyal knelt, "My Father, our Eye of the Storm. I've come back home and brought my husband with me. We wish to take your blessing."
Gale remained silent for a few seconds, and then his eyes shifted to Alice, who stood aloof and distant. "You won't kneel to your king?"
Alice's face finally shifted. Her crimson eyes glared at the king; a moment they were devoid of any emotion, and in the next, they were filled with fury and murderous rage. "Watch your tongue, mongrel. I only kneel to my goddess and Husband."
Her body suddenly grew taller, and all of the titans in the room froze. Their faces paled, the king's wives took a step back, and even Gale himself stared at her in surprise. She stood at 1.95 kilometers tall, surpassing even him in sheer size.
The whole castle started tumbling as turbulent magic roared in rage. "Do you dare? Draw the wrath of the Goddess of Magic?"
The windows cracked, the storm outside grew louder, and the magical lights they had started flickering. All of the spells in the castle started failing, and mana started refusing to be wielded by the Storm Titans.
