Chapter 153: Wedding night (1)

Five hours later, Hazel and Tobias had finished greeting their guests and made their way to the centre of the tables where space was provided for them to share a dance with other couples.

"You seemed worried about something," Tobias said, looking down at Hazel.

She appeared lost in thought since it was announced that they were to dance. They had already eaten and drank a bit with the guests. Now after the dance, they were going to go different ways to prepare for their wedding night.

"If it is about us being intimate tonight, you don’t need to be so worried," said Tobias.

Hazel looked up at Tobias, not understanding what he meant. How was she not to be worried when this was her first time? It wasn’t the same for Tobias as he had been with other women.

As the time came closer for them to part, Hazel could not stop thinking about what would soon happen. Having to get undressed before him and then try her best to do her part. It was all nerve-wracking.

Reading about it and then being in the position to have to do it was far different than she thought.

Hazel rested her head on Tobias’s chest to help stop her worrying. His touch was the best remedy for getting rid of her worries. Though she was not yet fully prepared for what was to come soon, knowing that it would be with Tobias brought her some ease.

As soon as the music came to an end, they were approached by a maid coming to take Hazel away.

"I shall see you soon," Hazel said, bidding goodbye to Tobias with a curtsy.

Tobias remained silent, watching as Hazel left with the maid and then turning to the maid who was to lead him to the room once Hazel was ready. He could only hope that Hazel wasn’t so lost in being nervous that she would let what anyone told her now get to her.

While Tobias made his way back to his seat to wait for Hazel to be ready, Hazel followed a maid to the room.

"Congratulations on your wedding, Princess Hazel Castro," Valerie greeted Hazel by the door. "We shall carefully prepare you to the prince’s liking and offer you advice for the night to go well. Please go inside to get undressed and cleaned."

Hazel peered inside the room before slowly entering. There were many flowers and candles placed around the room. A wine and two glasses were on a small table before the bed. There was an effort to make the room romantic but it felt uncomfortable.

Four maids quickly moved to get Hazel out of her dress and remove the tiara along with the pins in her hair. They had to be quick as the prince would soon be here to see Hazel.

Hazel hugged her chest after the dress fell to the floor. With her hair no longer pinned up and her jewels taken off, she was led to the bathroom to be stripped naked and placed in a tub with flower petals inside.

Hazel had never received more painful bathing as her skin was painfully scrubbed to the point it felt like it would start bleeding. The maid brushing her hair was also not gentle and it was only the water being poured on her that felt wonderful.

Valerie paced back and forth, watching as the maids rushed to properly clean Hazel. They were right on track as Hazel was helped out of the tub and dried off. "You are to follow the prince’s lead. It will be a bit painful at first, but should you not struggle, the pleasure will go away fast. You must satisfy the prince and not end the night without him bedding you."

"Your nightdress," Valerie said, lifting the nightdress for Hazel to see. It was white to match the wedding dress which should have been taken out of the room already.

Hazel stared at the dress which wouldn’t cover much of her. She understood it was made to entice Tobias and would be taken off right away, but what if the room turned cold and she wanted something to help keep her warm?

Hazel allowed the maids to get her dressed without any complaints. The thorough cleaning had taken the nervousness away as she focused on her burning skin.

Not long after the maids hurried out of the room, leaving Hazel seated on the bed. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

"Did he receive this terrible cleaning too?" Hazel wondered, gently rubbing a red mark forming on her arm.

The night was still young so why did they need to rush to dress her? Did Tobias enjoy sleeping with bruised women?

The door opened, revealing Tobias still in the clothes he wore when they were together, letting Hazel know that he did not receive the same treatment. She glared at him, jealous that he was bruise-free.

Tobias closed the door, locking it behind him so they wouldn’t be disturbed. "Why are you glaring at me? Whatever anyone told you was a lie."

"You’ve done nothing wrong. I’m jealous that you didn’t receive a beating in the midst of preparing for this moment. I hope you do not expect me to be this way each time we are to sleep together. I want to bruise you a little so we can be even though it wasn’t your doing."

"Well, this is the best time for you to bruise me. You are free to do as you want tonight. They’ve prepared a good wine for us," Tobias said, picking up the unopened bottle. "It is here more for you than for me. To help you go through with this."

"You can relax," Tobias added since Hazel remained in the same spot on the bed. "I won’t touch you tonight so enjoy the wine and go to bed. I’ll turn away so I don’t see how they dressed you."

"You won’t touch me? Why?" Hazel asked, confused as to why he wouldn’t when it was expected of them. This was their wedding night. The night they would explore each other’s bodies for the first time.

"Why? It is obvious that you are nervous and I would prefer you want to make love to me because you want to and not because of your duty. If it bothers you, I will sleep on the chair," said Tobias.

Tobias opened the bottle and filled the two bottles. He then took his almost-filled glass to the chair he would be sleeping on tonight.

Hazel watched as Tobias stayed true to his word and went to lie on the long settee. It was a welcomed surprise that he was not going to touch her because he believed she was not ready. He was a gentleman as he said he was.

"This is why I came to love you," Hazel confessed as she stood up from the bed. As she made her way to Tobias, she picked up her glass of wine and took a sip.

"You may open your eyes, Tobias. Should we be intimate tonight is not because I find it to be my duty but because I want to. So please, look at me," Hazel requested, coming to a stop to give him a good view of how she was dressed.
