The Soul System in the Apocalypse-Chapter 428: Four Supreme Beings

Somewhere in a hidden domain...

Four figures were seated around a round table with solemn expressions on their faces. None of the four people could be considered human, considering the features and the color of the skin that they possessed.

Each and every one of them possessed gray skin, with their eyes being completely black. That indicated that there was no white or any other color inside the eyes, but instead, it was just pitch black, like an abyss.

Each one of them was currently putting on a black robe, and they exuded an authoritative temperament that was filled with power. Inside the entire room, there was nobody else other than the four of them, and the chairs and the table that they were seated around.

Silence dominated the room as none of them spoke, simply thinking about their own matters. But even then, each and every one of them maintained the same expression on their faces, which was pondering together with solemnity.

After a while, one of them finally could not hold it in anymore and decided to speak up. He was the one with the muscular physique in the entire group.

"I don’t think that we have to continue wasting our time sitting here. Why don’t we just try to send one of our clones into that world, so that we can deal with that territory? As long as we deal with them, it should be able to pave a way for the next group that we are going to send down there.

Otherwise, if things continue this way, we are definitely going to lose in this battle for domination." The man’s voice was extremely thick, and his brows followed as he spoke.

The others remained silent after hearing what he had said. Just as the silence was about to dominate the room once again, another man spoke up.

"It is not as if it is quite easy for us to be able to send a clone into that world. With the current level of the apocalypse in that world, it is definitely going to cost us a lot in order to be able to send a clone down there." The man was completely contrasting the one who had spoken first in terms of physique.

In fact, he was the one who looked extremely frail in the entire group. But even then, none of the people around underestimated him.

Before anybody else could speak, the man continued, "Additionally, it is not as if we have never had one of us going down there through a clone. But what was the result? The clone was completely destroyed without completing anything, not killing even a single human down there."

As the man spoke, he looked towards another figure that was present around the table, clearly targeting that person. The man who was being targeted possessed thick brows.

The moment that he heard what the other man said, he could not help but frown. But even then, he did not say anything, and just continued staying silent. It seemed that he understood that if he said anything, he was definitely going to be at a disadvantage, considering that it was true what the man had said.

Additionally, it was not as if this was the first time that this person was targeting him. In fact, the two of them were fighting against each other, and had it not been for the fact that they were currently facing the same enemy of the entire race, they would have definitely been fighting openly.

"Let us not start blaming each other right now, considering that this is not a solution. You have to understand that all of us underestimated the humans. We never thought that the humans had the capabilities of doing what they have done so far. So, let us try to look for a solution, a good one at that, to make sure that we succeed this time." The muscular guy stated, easing up the tension that was already beginning to build in the room.

"I have already given my suggestion. Why don’t the rest of you give us what you think? After all, if you don’t say anything, I don’t think it is important for us to continue talking anymore. It would be better if I could just leave this place and go do my own things, while waiting for my time to descend into that world." The man with a slim frame stated.

Silence once again dominated the room, as each and every one of them began thinking of solutions. But no matter how much they thought about it, they could not find a solution that could handle the situation that they were currently facing.

Finally, the muscular man thought of something and said, "What about trying to recruit more humans to join our side? That way, we can start laying a foundation, and once again control over one human territory, it should be easy for us to be able to conquer that territory where our race is supposed to descend."

The other two immediately thought that this was actually viable. After all, all the members of their race that had descended into the human world had already been killed off, and they did not have any foundation that they had set down there.

So, it was definitely quite better if they could get a group of humans that would serve them, that way, they would be able to start gaining control over the humans, before using them to be able to allow the members of their race to descend into that world without being killed off.

The other two immediately nodded their heads, thinking that this was actually viable. But they had just consented, when the other figure that had not spoken so far finally spoke up.

"All of you have to think. Do you believe that there is actually a group of humans that is capable of dealing with that territory? Considering the power level that that territory currently possesses, together with that group of abnormal humans, it is definitely impossible for another human territory to be able to take it over." A feminine voice immediately echoed in the room.

The other three immediately looked at the lady in the group. Although she was the only lady present within the entire group, but even then, all of them actually respected her. The reason behind this was simply because she was the strongest among the four of them.

It might be true that she was not capable of dealing with the three of them at the same time, but dealing with two of them at the same time was definitely possible. Additionally, it was not as if they were enemies, for them to start attacking each other, not to mention banding together in order to deal with her.

"What do you suggest?" The muscular man asked with an expressionless face.

"This matter was quite simple. Solin you are supposed to be in charge of this matter. You are the one who wasted quite a lot of resources in order to descend into that world in the form of a clone of yours." The lady stated as she looked at the man with thick brows.

Without giving Solin a chance of saying anything, the lady continued. "By losing to that human, you have already made the reputation of our dark race to plummet. Although it is true that many people have not yet known about it, but as long as they get to hear about it, the reputation that we possess is definitely going to suffer."

"I know it is true that our race doesn’t care about reputation by much, but even then, we have to have our own limits. So, you have to find a way by yourself through which you are going to deal with that group of humans down there, so that you can allow our race to be able to gain the advantage that they have lost so far."

Solin looked at the lady with a dissatisfied expression on his face. But even then, he did not say anything that went against what the lady had said. After all, even he himself wanted to redeem himself.

Just thinking of the fact that he had actually lost to a human, this made him both embarrassed and angry. He had not lost to that human once, but instead, he had lost to him twice in a row.

The first time was using his own clone, and the second time, it was through that group of humans in the ruins in Raga City. At the time, he had just been about to succeed, but in the end, the plan was completely ruined by that group of people.

And again, there was another human that he had managed to contact recently, but that human had already utilized the liquid that he had given him. In the end, the moment that the Crimson figure was solidified, he was capable of seeing what was going on down there.

Although he realized that the person who ended up killing the Crimson figure was not familiar, but even then, in the distance, he could still feel the aura of the group of people that had always been messing his plans up.

Had it been that he was capable of controlling the crimson figure, he would have definitely made sure that it attacked that group. But in the end, he could only view what the crimson figure was seeing, instead of being capable of doing anything through the crimson figure.

"I don’t have any arguments over this matter. But even then, it seems that I will have to take a few resources in order to make sure that we succeed this time. I have just witnessed that that group of humans is still getting stronger, stronger than we expected. It seems that they are always a step ahead of the apocalypse." Solin stated.
