After he was done selecting the skills that he was supposed to take, he immediately began looking for others that could be used by Adam, Sarah and Olivia.

It was not easy for him to get this chance, and for that reason, he had to make sure that he used it to the maximum. Although it was true that he had yet to recruit Olivia, perhaps the skill might be able to make her agree to be his subordinate.

Just like himself, he decided to look for skills that can be used both for group attacks, and for a single target. In this apocalypse, they had to be versatile enough.

[Ice age: Three star; freeze everything within the surrounding 100 m radius, and take everything back to the ice age. Price; 7,300 level 2 mcs.]

[Ice beam: Three star; by using the sword, the user is able to launch an ice beam towards the enemy. It is able to deal 30% more damage. Price; 5,900 level 2 mcs.]

[Light blast: Three star; with the user as the center, light spreads outwards, dealing damage to all the hostile forces around the user. Price; 6,800 level 2 mcs.]

[The divine sword of judgment: Three star; The user is able to summon a sword that is made of light to attack the enemies. Price; 6,735 level 2 mcs.]

[Reckless slash: Three star; by ignoring all defenses, the user will be able to attack and deal 200% damage. Price; 7,100 level 2 mcs.]

[Injury immunity: Three star; for 2 seconds, the user will be granted immunity to all attacks. It has a cool down of 1 hour. Price; 8,900 level 2 mcs.]

One skill after the other, Henry was impressed by them. He had come to a realization that, there were some skills that could be used by people from different professions, while there was some of them that were used by people of a certain profession only.

That was of course the skills that contained elemental affinity, or something like bull rush which was only usable for berserkers.

Without hesitation, Henry began his purchasing spree. Although it seemed that it was going to cost a lot, once the total was calculated, it wasn’t that much considering that he currently possessed higher level mutation crystals.

To purchase all of this, it was going to cost Henry 65,635 level 2 mutation crystals. With his current balance, it was obvious that he only possessed 1,250 level 2 mutation crystals.

All the same, he still possessed 2,770 level 4 mutation crystals. It wasn’t going to be hard for him to get all these skills after he converted these mutation crystals into level 2 mutation crystals.

The conversion rate of level 4 mutation crystals to level two mutation crystals was 1 to 10,000. For that reason, he simply had to convert 10 level 4 mutation crystals and that was enough.

With that conversion, Henry immediately got 100,000 level 2 mutation crystals. After purchasing the skills, he was left with 35,315 level 2 mutation crystals.

All the scrolls that would enable them to learn the skills were placed in the system inventory.

With that finally out of the way, Henry finally decided to purchase equipment. He had realized that the sword that Olivia possessed was the most basic one. So, he went ahead and looked for a sword that was not only of a higher level, but was able to match her ice abilities.

He had decided to look for a sword that was good for a person that was using ice magic. Even if Olivia decided not to join his team, he could as well give it to another person in the future.

After looking through the system store, he finally found what he was looking for.

[Frost dominator: A sword that is believed to have belonged to the Frost Queen of ancient times. She decided to set aside this sword because she had gotten another one of a higher quality. The capabilities of this sword have been sealed, and would require a certain amount of energy to be unsealed, to be able to reveal its true capabilities. Price; 5,000 level 2 mcs.]

Henry was immediately attracted by this sword. After all, this was just like the sword that he possessed. With this sword, he was sure that Olivia was going to be capable of revealing much of her prowess.

But all the same, all the things that he was purchasing here was just to make sure that Olivia agreed to join his team. After all, he knew how difficult it was going to be to get a person that possessed such combat capabilities.

Without hesitation, he immediately purchased it. And after that, he went ahead and searched for armors. Although he currently possessed an armor, he didn’t know if the unranked armors that they currently possessed were going to be useful during the real apocalypse.

During the fight with the level 9 creature that had been brought during the special test, he had already noticed that even though it was true that the armor was able to block the attacks launched by that creature, the durability of the armor was being reduced.

That implied that, if he faced a creature that was a level higher than that, then, the armor wasn’t going to last long.

Finally, after some time, he managed to find some three star armors. This time, he did not find any armor that belonged to an ancient figure. But all the same, he didn’t care as long as the armors that they possessed were enough to give them an advantage in the apocalypse.

Each armor cost him 4,000 level 2 mutation crystals. So, for the four of them, he had to spend 12,000 level two mutation crystals.

This time, Henry did not purchase just four of them, but instead, he decided to utilize all the remaining level two mutation crystals to purchase armors. This was just so that, in case he recruited someone, he might give them the armor for an advantage. But of course, they had to earn it.

In the end, to purchase the armors, he spent 32,000 level 2 mutation crystals, to purchase 8 armors.

After that, he looked for a good staff that could be utilized by Sarah. Since she was a pure mage, there was no way that she was going to use melee weapons well.

Without any hesitation, he once again converted 10 level 4 mutation crystals into level 2 mutation crystals, giving him 100,000 level 2 mutation crystals.

With that, he was able to spend yet another 6,700 to purchase the three star magic staff that was suitable for light mages.

"Hey Henry, What are you still looking at? We don’t have the whole day, remember? We still need to get out of here before the real apocalypse descends." At this moment, Adam came and touched his shoulder, bringing Henry out of his focus on the system store.

Since they had already taken care of what had brought them here, Henry also thought that it was good if they left. So, he nodded his head, before looking in the direction where Charles was being tortured before.

During the time that he had spent in the system store, Olivia had already dealt with Charles to the maximum. She had made sure to remove every piece of his skin from his body.

She even went ahead to gouge his eyes, before finally leaving him there to die on his own. And currently, Henry could already see that Charles was still twitching, an obvious sign that he had yet to die.

But even so, Henry did not have any hint of pity towards that man. All the crimes that he had committed, really deserved the punishment that he had been given.

Without any other words, the group left the area, and went to the place that they had left the Jeep. After that, Henry drove to the area that they had fought before.

There, he burnt all the bodies of the youths that had been killed, before finally converting the monsters’ bodies that had been left on the ground into mutation crystals. There was no way that he was going to let a loss to occur.

All this while, Olivia kept following them. Henry didn’t chase her away, as he knew that currently, they were the only survivors of the facility present, or known.

With everything out of the way, Henry finally drove back towards the port. Just like before, he drove at a high speed, because time was not on their side.

In the car, Olivia remained silent, and she didn’t even talk to Sarah. This was also the first time that Sarah had encountered Olivia in this situation, so she didn’t know how to deal with the matter.

In the end, she could only sit on the backseats of the Jeep alongside Olivia, waiting for her in case she wanted someone to talk to.

It was only when they were approaching the port when Olivia finally spoke. "Thank you Henry." Her voice was cold, but Henry could still detect the appreciation in it.

But all the same, he was completely stunned. After all, from before, he had realized that Olivia didn’t have any good impression of him. In fact, she seemed to dislike him.

Even though it was unexpected, he still went ahead and nodded his head. He knew that the reason as to why she was thanking him was simply because of what he had done to the bodies.

As they approached the port, Henry finally spoke again.

"Olivia, I have a proposition for you." Henry stated.

"What is it?" Olivia asked. It was obvious that her mood was still low, from the anger that she had previously experienced.

"Join my team." Henry stated. Through the rearview mirror, he was able to see that she was quite surprised by his invitation. Still, he went ahead to explain, "I will be able to provide you with several things that will help you get an advantage in this apocalypse."
