Chapter 62: I Have Already Begun Hating Zombies

Olivia as well was surprised when she saw the details of the small token in her hand. Even though she did not possess any prior information about this, she knew that currently, in this apocalypse, they had to at least build something that they were going to depend on.

There was no way that they were going to face the zombies every now and then. They are humans and at the end of the day, they would have to rest.

Since Henry had managed to reach the Bronze rank, the wolf had also reached the Bronze rank because the summoner profession had already broken to the Bronze rank.

Without waiting for his orders, the wolf immediately charged towards the group of zombies that had come over. All of them had been attracted over by the commotion that had been created by the fight that had occurred here.

Adam and Sarah had already been overwhelmed, it was not the matter of the zombie processing great strength, but the zombies were just too many for them to handle single-handedly.

With the appearance of the wolf, this group of zombies were immediately cleared in just about 5 minutes. Luckily, even though it was true that a group of zombies had been attracted from the other parts of the city, the city was still big, and the area that they were in,was at the outskirts of the city.

So, although the number of zombies which had been attracted was also big, it was not a very large group that could not be cleared out.

"Hah! I have already begun hating the zombies!" Adam exclaimed after the last zombie fell onto the ground. As a berserker, he was not the most suitable when it came to facing a large group of enemies.

And even though he currently possessed several skills that enabled him to deal with a large crowd of zombies, he was still not comfortable.

"I guess we will have to get out of here. I’m sure that the commotion has already attracted not only the zombies, but other people as well. Since we don’t want to get into a conflict with anyone, we’ll have to get somewhere else to stay." Olivia stated as she looked around.

Even the building that she was intending for them to stay in was already devastated. Additionally, the surroundings had also been destroyed, and the bodies of the zombies that pilled all over, filled the air with a rotten fishy stenchy, which was just uncomfortable.

Henry also had the same thoughts. Therefore, without any other word, he immediately took out the Jeep that had been stored inside the idle space.

But before the group boarded the Jeep, there was a sound of engine approaching. And not long after, another Jeep appeared. Inside the Jeep, there was a group of five people.

Each and every one of them was armed with guns. This group had been out to collect supplies, but was suddenly attracted by the huge commotion that had been created here. As such, they rushed over to see what it was.

When they saw Henry’s group boarding the Jeep, two people immediately alighted and pointed guns towards the Jeep. Not long afterwards, one of the men said, "All of you wait!"

Of course, the group completely ignored what he said, and boarded the Jeep. Henry and the others were definitely not interested in what this guy wanted to say.

When the man noticed that this group of people didn’t actually respond to his words, he frowned. And in the next moment, he aimed the AK-47 in his hands towards the Jeep’s tires, ready to shoot.

"If you don’t get down right now, I am going to shoot." He said in a loud voice, with his finger closer to the trigger.

It was also at this time that another man also alighted from the Jeep. He came over to the man aiming at Henry’s Jeep, and said, "What are you doing? Since they don’t want to talk, just leave them alone. It is not like they have stolen something from us."

"What do you know!" The man retorted as he continued aiming towards the Jeep. Then he continued, "Nelson, look at the devastation that has happened here. We didn’t know what is really happening, and, perhaps, they might know what actually caused all of this. We have to be prepared for any situation."

On the other hand, Henry was just about to drive when suddenly, Olivia abruptly thought of something and asked him to wait for a while. In the next moment, she alighted from the car and rushed towards the building that she had just opened its door earlier.

When the man with the AK-47 saw that Olivia was actually rushing towards the building, he aimed towards her. But before he could shoot, Nelson pulled him to the side, and said, "Stop it! I know her!"

The man looked at Nelson with confusion in his eyes, but still decided to point towards the Jeep. He had already noticed that there was a group of four there, and that meant that there were three people in the Jeep. Of course, he did not see the wolf entering the compartment.

Not long after, Olivia came out of the three-storey building. But before she could get back into the Jeep, Nelson hurriedly called out her name.

"Olivia! Wait for a moment." Nelson said as he rushed towards her.

Olivia frowned when she heard a familiar voice. She turned around and noticed that Nelson, a man with short blonde hair, green eyes, wearing a short sleeved shirt.

Her expression shifted once again when she noticed him. It was obvious that she could recognize him, although she didn’t seem to possess any good impression of him.

"What do you want?" Olivia asked indifferently.

"Huh? You’re not going to greet me at all? I’m your in-law for heaven’s sake!" Nelson couldn’t help but exclaim a little at how Olivia was treating him.

"If you don’t have anything to say, then I will be going." Olivia said once again. Her voice had suddenly become cold, as it was obvious that she didn’t like what Nelson was saying. But still, she didn’t comment on it at all.

"Where are you going? Crystal City is no longer the way it was before. Why don’t you come with me back to our camp?" Nelson asked.

"I have got no interest in joining your camp at all. So, goodbye if that is all that you had to say." Olivia said before opening the car’s door, preparing herself to get in.

"Wait!" Nelson hurried forward and held the door, ensuring that Olivia didn’t get into the Jeep. Then, he continued, "Lucas is the leader of the camp that we are in, so your safety can be assured as long as you’re there."

Olivia’s expression once again shifted. And in the next moment, she pushed Nelson aside, before saying, "I don’t care who is the leader of the camp that you are in is, and I have already said that I have no interest in joining it."

Nelson had tried resisting, but he found out that he was actually not capable of doing so. It was as if he was being pushed backwards by a strong wind, and he was just a piece of paper in the air.

He staggered backwards, and looked as Olivia got back into the Jeep. There was a frown on his face, and apart from that, there was also grimness.

He had previously received information that Olivia had suddenly disappeared 5 months ago. But suddenly, she had appeared back in Crystal City. And the way that she was treating him, was not at all different from the way that a person could treat an acquaintance.

Shaking his head, he decided to forget about the matter for now, and report it to Lucas, who was his brother. Lucas was going to find a way to deal with the matter himself, as this was nothing that mattered to him.

Henry and the rest of the group didn’t ask Olivia about the relationship that she had with Nelson. Since she seem not in good mood to talk about the matter, then, they were not going to ask.

Henry had begun driving once again. This time, Olivia was also still the one directing them. Being the most familiar with the city, she obviously knew the highway that were rarely used.

Along the way, the group had seen vandalization, robbery, and even several fights that had erupted. Although zombies dominated the city, these zombies moved towards the area that contained the highest noise. So, it was not that rare to find a place that did not have even a single zombie.

Of course, the Jeep attracted the attention of almost everybody that saw it. After all, this was the first time that they were seeing a vehicle that was having off-road tires, but the body was that of a sports car.

Additionally, it was way bigger for a sports car, but the speed that it possessed was not low. Additionally, as it moved, it was completely silent.

But of course, there were some people that always wanted to get something good. Since there were no laws currently, these people tried to attack the Jeep, in order to force the people inside to come out. It was obvious that they were coveting the Jeep.

However, non of them were easily killed by the weapon system of the Jeep. Of course, it made a loud noise due to the explosion, but, that was just the effect that Henry wanted. With the noise, a large group of zombies was always attracted there. And that group would have to face them. freēwēbnovel.com

After driving for an hour, the group finally came to an area that had several buildings. Surprisingly, the tallest building here only possessed two storeys. Consequently, all of them seemed abandoned.

"This is an area that had been set aside for the construction of a factory. But it seems that the construction had just started, when the apocalypse had already came." Olivia said as she looked at the surrounding area.

Henry and the others got out of the car, and immediately cleared the zombies that were strolling around.

"Let’s get a rest and something to eat first, before deciding on what to do." Henry said.
