Chapter 63: Building a Territory

While resting, they took out the food they had prepared during the time that they were in the ship, and began eating. All of this food had been stored by Henry in the idle space. In this space, not only was the freshness of the food maintained, but the food was also warm as it had been kept before.

The group ate silently, but, they could also detect that Olivia was kind of distracted at this moment. Still, since she didn’t seem to talk about the matter, none of them brought it up.

After they were done eating, Henry finally took out the teleportation skill that they had received after they had killed the Bronze rank zombie.

He had already thought about it, and immediately handed it over to Olivia. She was the person with the second most powerful combat strength after him.

The only weakness that she encountered was the fact that, she didn’t have that much ability when it came to close combat.

Since she was the one taking the risks from the sides, then, the teleportation skill was just good for her. As for him, he had already had a skill in his mind that he was going to learn. Still, he had yet to purchase it.

Olivia was slightly surprised when Henry handed her the skill scroll. After all, she had been expecting that perhaps, Henry might utilize this chance that he was actually the leader of the group, to learn the skill.

After all, the ability of the skill was actually so overpowered. To be able to teleport 20 m in every minutes was something that was capable of saving a life.

"Don’t think much of it. That skill should be capable of enhancing your capabilities, so, we are going to have it easy when dealing with another creature of the same level." Henry replied when he saw Olivia’s inquisitive gaze.

Olivia thought about it and realized that what Henry had said was actually true. After all, during the time that they were facing the two-headed wolf, she had no choice but to keep distance.

However, with the teleportation skill, she would be able to fight at a close combat, and in case there was danger, she could simply teleport away, and come back 2 minutes later.

Without hesitation, she immediately learned the skill. And she felt the changes that had occurred, she suddenly realized that, she would be able to move anywhere within 20 m radius as long as she wanted to.

After the matter was dealt with, Henry immediately focused on another thing. That was, the territory building token.

"Do you think we should build a territory here, or perhaps move it to somewhere else?" Henry asked. He had already made his decision, but he wanted to get views from the others.

Let’s begin thinking about the matter seriously. Even though they did not understand much about the territory building token, they had all seen the information about it.

They knew that the moment they built a territory here, it would be immediately recognized in the apocalypse. That meant that, they would have to take this place as their own base.

On the other hand, they were quite a distance away from their own homes. As a consequence, currently, it was going to be a difficult task for them to get out of here with the current strength that they possessed.

After all, not only were they supposed to face numerous zombies, but there were even other monsters that were waiting outside the cities. Therefore, there was no guarantee that they would not encounter another monster that was just as strong as the zombie.

Even though they were able to deal with the zombie, and they had also managed to reach the Bronze rank, they were not sure about the level of the monster that they were going to face, and even if there was only going to be one of them or two or even more.

"From my point of view, I think we should try as hard as possible to get out of this city. Not only is it full of zombies currently, but it is also a long distance away from home." At this moment, Adam responded.

"As for me, I think that it would be better if we can build the territory here. After all, we will have to ensure that we are stable enough, and if possible, we can recruit several other people that have awakened and become mutant warriors. With incredible force, we surely can be capable of breaking out of this city." Sarah replied after much thought.

Olivia on the other hand stared at Adam and said, "You have to know that even if we begin making attempt of gett out of the city, it is not going to be easy. Not only we are going to face the zombies and the monsters that are currently outside the city, but, there are even other humans that will definitely attack us."

"So, rather than trying to get out of the city only to encounter several losses, I think that it is better if we find a place where we can stabilize ourselves first. As for the territory building token, since we can already find one, there is definitely another one. We can always find it in case we want to build another territory in another city." Olivia continued.

Adam actually wanted to retort, but he didn’t have anything to say. Even though it was true that he didn’t like Olivia, there was obviously no way that he couldn’t see any logic in her words.

In the end, he could only snort and turn his gaze to the side. Even though he was closer to Henry more than anybody else, he knew how Henry was. He was sure that Henry was going to make a decision that was going to favor everyone present.

"Okay then. It is decided. We are going to build our territory here, but we will have to find a suitable place to do that." Henry replied.

"This place is just good for us to build a territory. After all, not only that the number of zombies in this area low, but, the people present in the heart of the city will all try getting out of there, and they would surely pass here. For that reason, we can begin recruiting them." Olivia responded.

Henry nodded at that. With that, since he already possessed information about how a territory was supposed to be built, he immediately looked towards one of the buildings that was present in the area that they were in.

This was a two-story building, that looked the best amongst all the buildings in the surrounding area. This was the most suitable building to be used as the headquarters for now.

Taking out the territory building token, Henry focused on it and information appeared in front of him.

[Territory building token: Please select a single building that can be used as the core of the territory.]

Henry immediately selected the building, and in the next moment, the building was enveloped in blue light. And after that, there was a slight tremor of the ground, before everything finally calmed down.

And with the disappearance of the blue light, a majestic looking building suddenly appeared in front of their vision.

Standing tall and proud, the majestic building exuded an air of regality and grandeur, commanding attention from all who beheld its awe-inspiring presence. Resplendent in its architectural brilliance, it bore a striking resemblance to a palace from centuries past.

With a façade adorned in intricate carvings and ornate details, the building truly captured the essence of opulence. Elaborate sculptures, meticulously crafted, lined the exterior, depicting ancient tales of valor and mythology.

Each figure, although they didn’t have any face, they seemed to come to life, their stoic expressions and dynamic poses, as if telling vivid stories that added an air of mystique to the building’s allure.

The main entrance, framed by towering and intricately designed archways, beckoned visitors with a sense of anticipation. Its meticulously carved columns stood as a testament to the skilled craftsmanship of days gone by, their smooth surfaces seemingly touched by the hands of artistic masters. Gilded accents and delicate motifs adorned the doorways, hinting at the opulence that awaited within.

The palace’s facade was adorned with an array of windows, each one a masterpiece of delicate craftsmanship. Stained glass panels, resplendent in vibrant hues, depicted scenes of natural beauty, celestial wonders, and historical events.

The sunlight filtering through these captivating windows cast a kaleidoscope of colors, illuminating the inner corridors with a captivating ethereal glow.

A series of elegant balconies stretched across the upper levels, offering glimpses of the city’s view that extended to the distant horizon.

The verandas, adorned with intricately carved railings, were adorned with potted flowers and greenery, adding a touch of enchantment to the already marvelous architecture.

The roofline of the palace, with its soaring domes and turrets, reached for the heavens, as if attempting to touch the divine. Glistening under the sunlight, the rooftops were clad in ornamental tiles, their patterns cascading downwards in a symphony of geometric beauty.

Spires, graceful and pointed, pierced the sky, punctuating the building’s silhouette with an air of elegance and authority.

Surrounded by perfectly manicured gardens, the palace seemed to rise majestically from a sea of vibrant blooms. Lush, meticulously maintained lawns stretched out in all directions, punctuated by vibrant flowerbeds and winding pathways.

Elegant fountains danced amidst the greenery, their cascading waters reflecting the building’s splendor.

The mouth of everyone present was left hanging open, as they had never expected that the territory building that they had received was actually capable of doing such a change.

Additionally, the territory that have been built was just a single building. It was however too much attention grabbing, and Henry was afraid that it wouldn’t be long before they encountered several people that would attempt to snatch this building away from them.

"Come on! How much do we need to fight in the apocalypse?!" At this moment, Adam could not help but complain loudly. After all, he wasn’t a fool, and he could already realize that there was going to be a problem with possession of such a majestic looking building.
