Thousands of Brilliant Stars: You Deserve the Best!-Chapter 196: Please Be Safe, My Iris Crawford
Upon seeing the text, Evelyn Rowan felt as if she’d been struck by lightning. She stared at her phone screen in shock, the heart-wrenching words sent by Lachlan Wyatt still vivid in her mind. The pain of her twisted ankle was overshadowed by jealousy and anger.
The woman suddenly covered her face and burst into tears, then threw the phone to the ground!
Her brother, hearing the noise, rushed in. Seth Rowan opened the door and picked up the phone from the ground, noticing the screen had cracked from Evelyn’s throw. Heart aching, he hugged his sister, "What’s wrong, Rowan?"
Evelyn couldn’t tell him the truth, so she fabricated a lie, "Iris Crawford... Iris deliberately provoked me, making Lachlan misunderstand me. Lachlan didn’t answer my calls yesterday, and today he called just to yell at me, sob..."
Upon hearing this, Seth’s hair practically stood on end. This Iris was too much, repeatedly pushing his kind sister to the brink. How could he endure it!
How exactly did Orion Crawford educate his sister!
Seth wiped Evelyn’s tears away, his gaze darkening with hatred for Iris, "Rowan, don’t worry, your brother will get justice for you!"
Evelyn nestled in Seth’s embrace, eyes filled with hatred, all because Iris had taken Lachlan away. For years, she had been given the cold shoulder by Lachlan. Even after Iris married Dante, Lachlan never once spared her a glance...
Why? Could only Iris claim him?
Is there anyone in this world Iris could have that Evelyn Rowan couldn’t!
Evelyn clenched her fingers tightly, "Brother, you must stand up for me."
Seth always cherished this sister of his, wanting nothing more than to make Iris kneel and apologize to his precious sister. So he repeatedly agreed, while Evelyn continued to cry in Seth’s arms seeking comfort, Seth’s other hand had already dialed a certain phone number.
In a villa somewhere in the city outskirts, Hannah Lennox handed the receiver to the man before her. Jonas Kingsley extinguished his cigarette and looked up, "Who is it?"
"It’s the eldest of the Rowan Family."
Hannah said, "Seems like he has something to discuss with you."
"Oh?"
Jonas smirked meaningfully. It seemed Evelyn Rowan wasn’t a match for Iris Crawford after all.
He took the receiver, "Hello?"
"Jonas, are you in the country?"
Seth Rowan’s voice carried an urgency, "I need your help with something."
"I never thought there’d be a day when the usually courteous and graceful eldest of the Rowan Family would ask for my help."
Jonas maintained his stance of pressing the cigarette butt into the ashtray, his eyes full of cunning, yet his face was devilishly charming, as if he glowed when plotting something devious, "Let me guess, does it have to do with Iris Crawford?"
Seth paused on the other end, holding the phone, "Yes, it’s about Iris. I want to find out more, and also, this woman has harmed my sister. I need you to provide some assistance..."
"Leave it to me."
Jonas finally exhaled the last puff of smoke, "What outcome do you want for Iris, Young Master Rowan?"
"I want her to be in unbearable pain!" When Seth said this, there wasn’t a hint of hesitation, "Make her suffer more than my sister! My sister’s foot was twisted by her!"
"I see."
Jonas dragged out his words, "Then just wait and see, Young Master Rowan."

Iris Crawford didn’t return home after going out that day. Lachlan Wyatt prepared a feast at home, only to find the dishes had gone cold, and she still hadn’t returned.
Initially, he thought this was the first time after many years that Iris was moving back in with him, but then she disappeared overnight the next day. Lachlan was a bit angry, and along with the anger came a bit of worry—had this woman found a more handsome, interesting man outside?
Lachlan shook his head, intending to call Iris. However, the moment he dialed, he found the call had been disconnected.
"Damn." Lachlan cursed, "Am I interrupting your business over there?"
Staring at the phone in his hand, Lachlan sensed something was wrong. Just then, the sound of a car engine turning off came from outside again. Stepping out of the car, he saw it was Shane Lawson once more!
"Why are you sneaking out to drive again? It’s dangerous since you’re underage!"
Lachlan moved forward intending to grab Shane by the collar and scold him on behalf of his father, but the little one jumping down from the passenger seat made him pause, "Sweetheart, what are you doing here?"
Felix Crawford’s face was filled with urgency, "I need your help, Young Master Wyatt!"
Lachlan’s eyebrows arched, "Did you run into trouble?"
"No, I’ve been with Shane the past few days, so nothing’s really happened. But suddenly, I realized my mom’s location seemed off!"
Shane handed his heavy laptop to Lachlan, eyes full of pleading, "My mom’s location is showing up in the suburbs, where she’d never usually go! Take a look!"
Lachlan didn’t have time to ask Felix why he was tracking Iris’s location. A greater sense of urgency washed over him, making him realize that something bad might have happened, "When did this location appear?"
"At around seven today." Felix rubbed his eyes, turning into a helpless child after losing contact with Iris, "But now, I can’t find any trace of my mom’s whereabouts. I need your help!"
Iris Crawford’s son, normally smart, had never shown such a submissive look to Lachlan before. Now, Lachlan felt his heart pounding—had Evelyn done something to Iris?
He immediately pulled his son into the car, "I’ll drive you there, can you pull up the previous specific address?"
"I’ve saved the data, I’ll help you analyze it now."
This wasn’t something a child could normally do; more the work of a skilled professional. Yet Lachlan and Felix’s cooperation was so seamless. He instantly accepted all the information his son provided, buckled Felix securely in the passenger seat, and told the slightly older Shane, "Shane, watch the house for me..."
"I want to go too!"
Shane pointed at himself, "I’m afraid something bad might happen to Felix’s mom. I need to be there just in case I’m pulled into trouble; my dad would help out then!"
Lachlan was taken aback.
This kid had quite the sense of loyalty.
"But your father probably wouldn’t allow me to take you into danger."
"Not at all!" Shane spoke resolutely, "If my dad knew I stood by watching Felix and his mom face difficulties without going along to help, he’d definitely call me heartless! Just bring me along, if there’s danger, my dad won’t blame you—scars are a man’s badge of honor!"
Lachlan took a deep breath, pulling a smile as if exchanging faith with these two children, "Get in! Felix, don’t be afraid, I’ll take you to find your mom now."
Felix’s eyes reddened. Sitting in the passenger seat, he made a prayer gesture with both hands and closed his eyes. Lachlan didn’t have time to call anyone else, stepping on the gas, he drove off, "Iris, wait for me..."
Please, please be alright...
