Chapter 69: Chapter 69; Zhihao? And this one?
"Yes of course! I’m hungry... Tinghao, you can go and continue having your breakfast before it becomes cold, the guards could do the rest." After getting in a comfortable position, he nudged him away as he had noticed he had placed his breakfast down to assist him in sitting up in a comfortable position.
"Okay..." He walked over to the coffee table, got some warm congee poured into a bowl before testing the temperature, and passed it over to him with a spoon. He didn’t seem weak and he could feed himself!
Congee was smooth like porridge and Huo Ting Cheng had instructed them to give him that so that he could regain his health back.
"All right... All right, go and have your breakfast! Don’t pressure yourself, I ain’t a weakling!" He warmly dismissed him as he began having his congee spoon by spoon and in no time, he was done as he was supposed to take potion by potion.
"Zhihao, did you talk with your father? Are the two of you on good terms now? Don’t hold a grudge! You know it ain’t good to be angry at your father, he isn’t a perfect human being and accidents happen from time to time and we can’t blame him for this! If I’m not around, he will be your only family who can protect and take care of you!" She didn’t want any rift occurring between these two no matter what!
"Are you still planning on leaving? But momma, that can be good, and we will tag along; you just need the three of us, you know, Momma!" His eyes were so innocent, and his voice sounded childish, but only he knew what was deep inside his heart.
"Zhihao... I’m a married woman, and your father loves and adores me; I might have been silly fighting for the unknown out there, but you should know that it’s only by being by your father’s side could you live a carefree life! It ain’t a good life if you go out there and start struggling!" She didn’t want to deprive Huo Ting Cheng of his right to be a father; in all honesty, he was the father they needed for the last five years and for the future, too.
"Ohhh... So you do know you were fighting for the unknown out there?" He sarcastically smirked, making fun of his mother; he didn’t hate her for that; at a young age, he already understood the kind of shackles she was bound to!
Their mother went through stigmatization and hadn’t managed to join the University of her choice because of pregnancy. There’s no day he ever blamed her.
"Hehe... Your father is a good man, so, don’t fight, all right?" Tang Fei knew how life could be without parents; he was privileged to have one.
"Geez Momma! You can always praise him no matter what he does because he is your husband! We are good now and don’t pressure yourself... About the military academy, I’ve already decided on that!" He hurriedly brushed her off but with his tone, you could tell that he hadn’t completely forgiven him.
Deep down, he had his resentment towards his father etched deeper into the corners of his heart.
"Zhihao—
"Momma! No more lectures please, I will always be a good boy, you don’t have to feel burdened and I won’t give you any troubles, I assure you that, so, you don’t have to go anywhere, wherever you decide to go, I will tag along." He hurriedly stopped her from nagging him all about his father. No one was going to tell him otherwise!
"Okay..." She loudly sighed defeated. It felt like Zhihao was the most difficult kid to handle and she was getting worried about his future. If he wasn’t that forgiving, how was going to live in the society and handle the business world?
He was the firstborn and probably would be chosen as the next heir! She turned around and eyed Huo Tinghao; he seemed simple-minded but, at the same time, someone with deeper thoughts.
And for Huo Feihao, it was hard to decipher as she spoke fewer words but watching with her eyes; for Huo Minghao, she was a bit too arrogant for that seat, and for Huo Fenghao, mnnnh, her background needed to be checked.
"Mommy, don’t worry... Nothing that can’t be solved between men!" Huo Zhihao could see that troubled face as wrinkles formed around her forehead wondering what she was thinking about.
"Yeah, momma... We will always be good kids!" They have stayed in the streets for the past years and were so happy to be reunited with their biological parents.
They didn’t care what had happened back then; they only knew they had parents, too, like all the other kids! No one was going to look down upon them.
No one was going to tell them they were bastards and their mother could have dumped or abandoned them; they had their own that they could call father and mother, and of course, they were satisfied with that; they were going to cherish every moment.
"I know you will." They were so understanding and Tang Fei couldn’t hide that sweet smile and warm eyes she was giving them. It was so sweet to be a mother, she now had her own family.
"Brother, mommy..." Fenghao and Minghao rushed into the wardroom as they closed the wardroom door after getting inside.
The guards were outside in the corridor as they let the family have their privacy. They had a lot to chat about!
"Zhihao? And this one?" They got confused seeing Tinghao and Zhihao as they looked one, but Zhihao was on the hospital bed while Tinghao stood closer to the hospital bed by their mother’s side, and they could see another little girl just also standing beside him but resembled their mother, she was their mother’s duplicate no doubt.
They were confused and didn’t understand what was happening there! Where did these clones sprout out from?
