Void Cultivation-Chapter 200- Soul Devouring Everlasting Bird
Grey’s eyes widened at the incoming red bird. But before it could crash into him, purple sparks of ethereal light burst out from his body and wove themselves together, forming a purple illusory armor around him. The armor quickly manifested, and a helmet appeared on Grey’s head almost instantly.
However, the red bird did not stop. It pierced straight through the helmet without any resistance.
Grey’s mind went blank as the red bird shrank in size and entered his body, immediately beginning to wreak havoc within him.
Grey suddenly coughed out a mouthful of blood. His purple armor could not withstand the intrusion and collapsed, unraveling back into countless purple threads that flowed into his body. Although all of this seemed to have taken a long time to occur, in truth, not even a single breath of time had passed since Grey’s finger pointed toward the old man.
As the flesh and blood of the old man scattered in all directions, his power at the Foundation Establishment Realm began to fall rapidly, dropping until he returned to the Seventh level of Qi Accumulation. In fact, his aura continued to decline further, falling all the way to the Sixth level.
His life force was no longer present, and only the dimness of his soul could be faintly sensed. It was clear that the old man was about to die.
However, while this was happening, Grey was suffering intensely from the small red bird rampaging inside his body. The destruction continued relentlessly, until many of Grey’s internal organs were severely damaged. At that moment, the broken shards of the purple crystal within him, having sensed the presence of an external life form, suddenly reacted.
A suppressive purple light erupted.
This light was not the usual glow used to heal Grey or suppress the shadow. Instead, it carried a faint sense of domineering authority, along with a lingering mysteriousness that caused the red bird to halt mid-havoc.
Its body shuddered violently, and the red bird began showing signs of breaking down. However, it proved to be extremely tenacious. Formed from a strange and profound art of the old man, it would not stop until it fulfilled its mission of killing Grey or leaving him severely injured.
But the purple crystal revealed its might, showing why it could make even bizarre existences shiver and retreat in fear.
The purple light surged in waves, sweeping through every part of Grey’s body. When the first wave arrived, the red bird shuddered intensely—but that was all. Its eyes revealed emotions filled with cruelty and defiance. It spat out a mouthful of blood that transformed into a two-hundred-foot-tall wave, charging toward the incoming suppression.
But how could the purple crystal’s first wave of light be stopped so easily? If the purple crystal could seal divine flames from a true divine creature and even give life to Grey’s shadow, then this measly bird did not stand a chance.
The first wave shattered the towering blood wave and crashed directly into the red bird.
The red bird screeched loudly as its body struggled to endure the impact. When the first wave passed, it was left in an extremely weakened state.
It opened its mouth to screech again, but before it could do so, the second wave arrived. As it descended, the red bird shuddered violently before scattering apart into blood. When the second wave passed, the red bird reformed once more. Its form was now incredibly translucent and unstable, as if it could dissipate at any moment.
But that... was when the third wave arrived.
The red bird stood no chance. It released one final cry of its life before collapsing entirely, turning into a silent pool of blood that possessed no awareness at all. When Grey inspected it from within, he sensed divine fluctuations belonging to Divine creatures, mixed together with the bizarre fluctuations unique to Bizarre existences.
The combination was incredibly strange and unsettling.
Even after the red bird had completely died and only a pool of blood remained, the purple crystal did not stop. The fourth wave descended.
When Grey sensed this, a realization struck him.
The purple crystal wanted to refine the red bird.
His intuition proved correct. When the fourth wave crashed down, the pool of blood ignited, burning fiercely under the suppressive purple light.

On the sharp desert sands, the old man lay broken. His body was riddled with wounds, and his countenance was deathly pale. Blood flowed freely from his chest, mouth, nose, and countless other injuries.
Yet even though he was clearly on the brink of death, and his aura was so faint it seemed as though he could die at any moment, the old man’s eyes still shone with a brutal glint.
His lips stretched wide into a crazed smile. Watching Grey struggle in extreme pain filled him with joy. After all, the art he had cultivated for over seventeen long years was finally being put to use, and against someone who had caused him immense trouble.
If he had known I possessed this kind of art, he would have stopped chasing me, the old man thought inwardly before letting out a weak sigh. All the potential I burned today would have been wasted. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
I had to reveal many of my arts today, but it was all worth it. His gaze sharpened. Nobody can escape from my Blood Devouring Fiendish Bird! After deciphering the Ancient Jade Slip, I knew this art would be something that even Foundation Establishment experts could not withstand.
A bright glint appeared in his eyes.
Although he continued coughing out blood, that glint did not fade.
"First, his blood and organs will be destroyed before being devoured," he muttered hoarsely. "Then his cultivation base will follow."
"When the Blood Devouring Fiendish Bird finishes absorbing his cultivation base and returns to me, I will gain the tenacity of his blood and bones."
His breathing grew ragged, but his smile only widened.
"And then my cultivation will rise until I step into the Foundation Establishment Realm. Although I won’t be as strong as someone who possesses a Spirit Fire, I will be infinitesimally close." The old man said with a sadistic smile on his face. He didn’t even seem to be disturbed by his severe injuries.
