Within My Sect, All Realms Unite-Chapter 11: Lost Again
Cold sweat slid down Lin Xiaotian’s spine as he looked upward. The cavern ceiling was cracking.
Above the fractured stone, the colossal shadow of the seven-tailed beast loomed, its spiritual pressure pressing down like a collapsing mountain, every roar made the air tremble.
He forced himself to think. he could not descend into the abyss with his disciples the system itself had screamed at him to run, nor can they fight a half-step Golden Core beast.
He could not hesitate a thunderous crack split the air, a massive rock tore loose from the ceiling and smashed into the dried pool basin.
The stone floor shattered and then runes flared and blinding light burst from beneath the fractured ground as violent spatial fluctuations rippled outward.
Lin’s eyes snapped downward for a split second; his face was grim but then it twisted into an almost ugly grin.
"Why am I panicking," he muttered under his breath, "when I’m surrounded by protagonists with plot armor?"
Beneath the shattered basin, an ancient teleportation array had been revealed.
The collapse had activated it.
The formation lines glowed brighter with each falling stone he didn’t know where it led nor did he care.
An Unknown destination was still better than certain death. He spun around and shouted, "Everyone! Into the array! Now!"
The disciples reacted instantly just as they leapt toward the basin. The ceiling gave way.
The seven-tailed fox’s colossal claws punched through stone, sunlight flooding the cavern alongside a wave of suffocating pressure.
The ground quaked violently chunks of rock the size of houses began falling. The disciples jumped into the broken pool as the teleportation formation roared to life.
Lin moved last a massive slab of stone hurtled toward him from above. Without hesitation, he grabbed both beast eggs in one smooth motion, tucked them under his arms, and dove into the formation.
The slab crashed down behind him as light swallowed everything. For a fleeting moment, through the collapsing dust, he saw the fox’s golden eyes.
Rage, Grief, Hatred. The beast slammed both claws into the ground, completely shattering the cavern.
But it was too late the teleportation array detonated in a pillar of light. The fox howled in despair as it watched its offspring and the Celestial Genesis Ichor vanish.
The cavern collapsed inward. Then its gaze slowly shifted toward the descending abyss.
The staircase still stood. Darkness pulsed faintly below the seven-tailed behemoth froze. A ripple of something unfamiliar passed through its massive frame Fear.
It stared for several long seconds. Then, slowly it stepped back.
Space twisted the world stretched into distorted ribbons of color and shadow. Lin felt weightless and then nothing.
Suddenly the world snapped back into place. He slammed into solid ground air blasted from his lungs.
Before he could even curse something enormous crashed down on top of him. The impact drove him face-first into dirt.
Dust filled his mouth for a terrifying split second, his vision went black. So, this is how I die under a disciple.
The weight shifted a booming voice echoed above him. "...Sect Master?" The pressure lifted Lin coughed violently and pushed himself upright.
Ciao Xiaoshan stood nearby, looking around in confusion then he looked down. At the Sect Master. half-buried in soil. Still clutching two glowing beast eggs.
Ciao’s face immediately turned awkward "Sect Master, I—"
Before he could finish, Lin rose to his feet. Spiritual energy flared briefly around him, blowing away the dirt and restoring his dignified appearance.
He gave Ciao a long, dangerous look internally, he was screaming. What have you become? For a second I saw my ancestors waving at me!
Should I expel him? Our sect can’t afford to feed something that heavy! Then he paused right. Foundation Establishment cultivators could survive without food. ...Damn it.
He exhaled. "Next time," Lin said flatly, "watch where you fall."
Ciao nodded solemnly. "Yes, Sect Master."
The rest of the disciples materialized one by one, stumbling out of fading spatial distortions. Within moments, all of them were present.
Lin finally took in his surroundings they stood in a dense forest clearing.
Ancient trees towered overhead, their trunks thicker than city walls. The leaves were darker, almost black-green, and spiritual energy hung in the air like heavy mist.
This was not the same area the terrain was unfamiliar. The spiritual flow was different.
Lin narrowed his eyes a long-distance teleportation. Random and somehow, they had survived.
He glanced at the sky the sun sat at a different angle. Mountain silhouettes in the distance were entirely unfamiliar.
"We’ve moved far," he murmured. A faint smile tugged at his lips, so fortune still favored him.
Then Clang!
The sharp ring of metal colliding echoed through the forest. Spiritual energy surged violently from somewhere ahead.
A shockwave rippled through the trees Lin’s expression sharpened instantly. He raised a hand the disciples all fell silent.
They were strong spiritual fluctuations someone was fighting ahead at least peak foundation establishment maybe stronger.
Then Lin xiao tian spoke "Everyone move in opposite direction follow me." Just after escaping peril there is no chance, I would get entangled with someone else’s problem.
Clang the sound of battle grew closer and then a white figure came crashing through the trees and slammed into the clearing between them.
Thud. The young man skidded across the ground, coughing violently. Blood sprayed from his mouth, staining his pristine white robes crimson.
He lay there for a second then slowly lifted his head his gaze locking onto Lin Xiaotian and the disciples.
And he grinned a wide, ugly grin. Lin’s eyes narrowed instantly something was wrong.
Before anyone could react, the youth pulled out a small jade-like object shaped like an egg and crushed it in his palm.
Crack the shell shattered. A thick, pungent liquid splashed outward spraying directly across Lin and several disciples.
The stench hit immediately Lin’s expression darkened. "Beast-attracting essence," he muttered coldly.
This bastard he was setting them up a heavy tremor followed. The trees ahead exploded outward.
A massive lizard-like beast burst into the clearing. its body was covered in jagged black scales that reflected light like armor. Two curved horns rose from its skull, and its golden slit pupils burned with fury.
it inhaled deeply and then roared the sound was deafening. Spiritual pressure surged outward, crushing the grass flat.
Lin’s senses locked onto it immediately Foundation Establishment Eleventh Layer.
Injured deep claw marks tore across its flank but still extremely dangerous. Behind him, several disciples instinctively tensed.
The youth in white staggered to his feet he tried to run as he had no intention of staying to watch the chaos he had created.
Unfortunately for him a shadow moved and tail of massive halberd came down from above like falling judgment.
It struck the back of the youth’s head with a dull, brutal thud his eyes rolled back instantly.
He collapsed face-first into the dirt Ciao Xiaoshan stood behind him, halberd resting on his shoulder. "He was noisy," Ciao said simply.
Lin didn’t even glance at the unconscious youth his focus remained on the beast.
The scaled monster lowered its head slightly, nostrils flaring as it fixed onto the scent of the essence on them.
its roar deepened the ground trembled under its advancing step. Lin exhaled slowly. "Injured," he murmured. "But still dangerous."
