Ah! The Villains I Forced to Turn Evil Can Read My Mind-Chapter 298
Qiao Chuchu looked at Wen Zhan in shock.
Wen Zhan sat on the sofa, his long legs bent lazily, his gaze filled with disdain as he regarded Xia Xuechun: "I was the one who sent people to deal with you."
Qiao Chuchu was stunned: "How could you not tell me about beating up Xia Xuechun and Long Yunxiao?! At the very least, I should’ve been there to watch!"
Weisheng Wenzhan: "?"
Qiao Chuchu then turned to Xia Xuechun: "So what if my friends sent people to teach you a lesson?"
"So what?" Xia Xuechun straightened up defiantly. "Last time, you helped me, but this time, you let the people around you abuse me! And you still have the nerve to ask me 'so what'? Why can’t you just be kind all the way through?!"
Qiao Chuchu pointed a gun at her forehead.
Xia Xuechun: "!"
Disgusted, Qiao Chuchu couldn’t bear to look at her any longer, grinding her teeth. "Last time, when Long Jun insulted you, I helped you. And how did you repay me? You sent someone to crash into my car. Did my help mean anything to you, Xia Xuechun?"
Xia Xuechun paled, trying to shrink away from the gun. "That’s because your help was never what I actually needed! You can’t blame me for not appreciating it! I wanted an apple, but you gave me a pear—do you expect me to be grateful for that?!"
The others stared at her in disbelief.
"This is beyond shameless," Pei Buxian muttered, wide-eyed. "Truly a masterclass in audacity."
Pei Mu and Pei Ci glanced at Lou Tingsi. "I think her face is thick enough to make bulletproof vests."
Lou Tingsi pondered seriously. "If we could actually make bulletproof vests out of her skin, I’d make a fortune."
Ignoring their mockery, Xia Xuechun snarled, "No matter how much you ridicule me, I stand by this—I, Xia Xuechun, have never done anything wrong!"
She glared at Qiao Chuchu. "You’re the one who’s wrong! If you hadn’t kicked me out from the start, if you’d let me stay in your house as your cheap little maid, none of this would’ve happened! You should be the one reflecting!"
Her face flushed with rage as she grew more agitated. "You’re so rich—what’s the big deal about giving me a house? Or finding me a good job? Or introducing me to one of the many handsome men around you? But no, you looked down on me from the very beginning!!"
Qiao Chuchu had heard enough. "Shut up!"
She fired a shot into Xia Xuechun’s shoulder!

Xia Xuechun collapsed with a scream, writhing in pain before finally letting out a bloodcurdling shriek: "AHHHHH!!"
She scrambled on the floor, howling. "It hurts! It hurts so much! AHH!!"
Long Yunxiao’s expression twisted in fury as he turned to Qiao Chuchu. "I told you not to shoot! Why did you do it anyway?!"
Qiao Chuchu met his gaze coldly. "You’re tied to a wall. You have no leverage to negotiate with me. Your life is worthless—all I want is your suffering."
Seeing her indifference, fear crept into Long Yunxiao’s eyes.
She was serious.
She wasn’t planning to let either of them go!
Qiao Chuchu meant every word!
Panic set in. "What will it take for you to let us go?! We can kneel and apologize! Or—or—"
Desperate, he glanced at Xia Xuechun. "I’ll leave Xia Xuechun with you!"
Xia Xuechun’s face drained of color. "What did you just say?!"
Long Yunxiao grimaced. "Xuechun, ever since I got involved with you, nothing but bad luck has followed me. I’ve spoiled you, but now Qiao Chuchu wants my life!"
Qiao Chuchu wasn’t surprised. "Oh? Infighting, is it?"
Scum like this turning on each other was hardly unexpected.
But Xia Xuechun couldn’t accept it. Staggering to her feet, she lunged at Long Yunxiao. "How dare you say that?! You’re old and ugly, and I never complained! The only things you had to offer were your money and your so-called love—and now you’re backing out?!"
Long Yunxiao snapped, "I only liked you because you were young and pretty! We were using each other! Yes, I loved you, but I can’t die for love! Do you know how valuable my life is?!"
Xia Xuechun’s eyes flashed with murderous intent. "My life is worth more than yours!!"
She grabbed a fruit from the table and hurled it at him. "You scum! You promised to protect me! Everything you said was a lie! A LIE!!!"
Long Yunxiao, still bound to the wall, couldn’t fight back. Instead, he turned to Qiao Chuchu eagerly. "See? She’s just a hysterical shrew now! I’m cutting ties with her—our relationship is over! Let me go, and I swear I won’t cause any trouble!!"
Qiao Chuchu raised an amused brow. "Why should I?"
Trembling, Long Yunxiao begged, "Because Xia Xuechun made me do everything! She’s the evil one! I only fell for her because she was young and beautiful, but now I’ve seen the light—I love my ex-wife!"
Qiao Chuchu feigned sympathy. "Oh? In that case, fine. I’ll let you go."
Long Yunxiao brightened. "Really?!"
She aimed the gun at his forehead. "No. Just as fake as your love for your ex-wife."
Terror froze on his face as a bullet pierced his skull.
His expression remained locked in eternal fear.
Qiao Chuchu smirked in satisfaction. "Finally, some peace."
Xia Xuechun collapsed to the floor, her face ashen. She scrambled to Qiao Chuchu’s feet. "You actually killed him?!"
Qiao Chuchu looked down at her. "When did I ever joke?"
Xia Xuechun’s breath hitched. Clutching Qiao Chuchu’s pants, she sobbed, "Qiao Chuchu, I’ll apologize! I was wrong! I shouldn’t have fought you at every turn—I was just confused!"
Her hands rubbed together frantically like flies. "I was forced into this! I was a good girl once—you know that! I didn’t mean to lose your brother’s dog, or get tangled up with you, or try to kill you!"
Qiao Chuchu watched her coldly.
Xia Xuechun’s once-pristine white dress was now stained with blood, her tear-streaked face a pitiful sight as she pleaded. "I swear this is the last time I’ll ever hurt you! You can curse me with a necklace, do whatever you want—just spare me!"
She cried like a spoiled child, as if her suffering justified everything. "I’ve lost everything! Long Yunxiao is dead—I have no one left to love me!"
Qiao Chuchu remained unmoved. "What about your parents?"
Xia Xuechun paused, then sneered. "What parents? They’re poor, stupid, and stingy. I cut ties with them when I went abroad, but they still clung to me—just trying to leech off me!"
She clung to Qiao Chuchu's leg, looking up at her with tear-filled eyes: "Chuchu, I know you're soft-hearted, I know you value loyalty and sentiment. I also know you can't bear to see a girl suffer. Please, have mercy on me. I’m just someone who took a wrong turn—I won’t do it again. Give me a chance, and I’ll go back to being the Xia Xuechun I used to be. Okay?"
She shook Qiao Chuchu’s leg desperately, pleading: "Okay? Okay, okay, okay? Just forgive me, please?!"
