Courting Death System-Chapter 31: Rainbow

The man didn’t care whether he was in a Spatial Storm or not because he now had hope of leaving this place, he just had to be patient. Since he couldn’t things in his current state, the only thing he could do was remain calm. He continued to calmly die and revive until one day when he revived, the light lit up right behind him and his head was engulfed by this light.

The rest of his body was obliterated while the head disappeared with the light. It turned out that the light wasn’t light but a space crack that led to another planet.

When the man came to be, he found himself in what seemed to be a forest because of the tall trees and grass around him. When the man saw where he was, he burst out with laughter.

"Hahaha! Ahahahaha! I’m back! I, Lucius Lothra am finally back! Boss you son of a bitch, I’m gonna fucking kill you!" said Lucius with crazed eyes. He’d died so many times that it had affected him mentally. Three random thoughts then appeared in his mind.

"I’ll put Space Suffocation trait to Aura, Projectile trait to my saliva and have my hai... no! I’ll put the Spatial Storm Cutting trait to my... blood. Yes, blood is better than hair, at least that way, I won’t injure people by mistake." said Lucius to himself.

He’d figured out while dying that his system actually worked and could revive infinitely. It seemed that the future Old Yezi had seen was just one of his deaths and had scared him for no reason. Lucius didn’t know where he was but didn’t care. He just stood up and started walking, he walked until he found a small pond with water.

In that pond, a colourful small frog was relaxing on a leaf that floated on the pond. Lucius was quite thirsty and ran to the pond to drink some water but was stopped by the small collided which at some point, had appeared in front of him. Lucius ignored the small frog and just jumped it.

CROAK!

The frog croaked before it changed colour to purple and jumped onto Lucius’s naked body. Lucius felt something touch his back and was about to check what it was. He saw a purple frog on his back and before he could do anything, he lost consciousness and dropped dead.

Hours went by and Lucius revived, he was confused by what had happened but when he saw the frog on the pond, he remembered what had happened.

’Poisonous frog!’

Seeing that Lucius had woken up, the frog looked at him again, its gaze scared Lucius so much that he backed away. The frog turned yellow and when Lucius blink, it was already close to his face and stuck on it. Lucius died in just three seconds.

When Lucius revived for the third time, the frog killed him immediately. Every time Lucius revived, the little frog would kill him with a different kind of poison. Lucius was shocked by the number of poisons the frog had, it never used the same poison twice on and some of its poisons were terrifying. Like the poison that made him vomit all his internal organs, another now melted his inside, vomit blood, paralysed to death, scratch yourself to death, acid poison, hallucinate and commit suicide and all kinds of other poisons.

Lucius kept being killed until the little colourful frog ran out of poisons, Lucius didn’t know how much time he’d spent here but it was definitely a lot.

"Put all of them, put all of the poisons to my blood, hehe. If anyone dares to make me bleed, prepare to suffer the consequences." said Lucius after he receives random thoughts.

CROAK!

The little frog croaked before jumping onto Lucius’s naked body, this time, it remained in its rainbow colours and stuck on Lucius’s body but after a few seconds, nothing happened. Lucius had also resigned himself to his fate and was surprised when nothing happened. Lucius looked at the little frog and the little frog looked at him. An awkward silence pervaded the area.

’Is it possible that after infusing all its poisons into my blood, I became immune to its poisons.’ thought Lucius.

"Hahaha! I bet you didn’t expect this right?! Let me tell you a little secret, your poisons no longer work on me because I’m immune to all of them, hahaha!" said Lucius happily as he grabbed the little frog with his right hand and went to drink some water from the pond.

He greedily drank the pond water and even jumped inside it. The frog struggled with all its strength and escaped from Lucius’s grip. It jumped onto the shore of the pond. Lucius played in the water while also drinking it. A few minutes passed and Lucius wasn’t feeling so good. His stomach bloated, his lips turned purple and his eyes dilated.

His stomach popped and Lucius died instantly, when he revived again, he was still inside the pond and he died again. And just like that, he kept on being killed by the pond the same way the frog had been doing but the pond killed him faster and more inhumanly.

Lucius didn’t know how much time he’d spent inside the pond but one day, the pond could no longer kill him. This was after he assimilated all the poisons into his blood. He then swam out of the pond and looked at the little frog with hate and anger.

"Why didn’t you tell me that the pond wasn’t made of water but instead all kind of poisons?!"

CROAK!

"What do you mean I didn’t ask?! Shouldn’t you have warned me before I entered the pond? No wonder you struggled to escape!"

CROAK!

"Sorry doesn’t cut it but I’ll forgive you just this once. Anyway, are you staying or are you coming with me?"

CROAK!

"Alright, let’s go. By the way, what’s your name?"

CROAK!

"You don’t have a name, then I’ll call you Rainbow because of how colourful you look. Call me Lucius, Lucius Lothra."

Lucius walked around the forest with Rainbow on his head, everywhere they go, the small insects would crawl, run or fly away. Lucius didn’t know if they were afraid of him or Rainbow but he didn’t mind and didn’t care.

CROAK!

"How can I understand what you’re saying? I think it has something to do with my System, it’s an Ability that I created for myself. It allows me to revive infinitely while also getting stronger than the person who killed me. Now that you mention it, let me check my level. Fuck, why am I Lvl 10, is Boss so weak?!"

CROAK!
