Chapter 675: William’s Punch For Irene’s Tears

What the hell did this mean? He did see a lot of typos in there, but the point was everything Princess Irene had written down was correct! The man stood up to protest, but before he could utter his complaints, Irene interrupted.

"I’ll tell you the truth. I’ve only been learning this past month. I’ve only been able to read and write in the last month. During the thirteen years that I lived, I did not study at all. So, I admit my mistake. I will study harder and correct my mistakes again."

Everyone in the room gasped.

"Princess! We promised to keep this."

"Good heavens, Your Highness. Did you not even study during your stay in the palace?" Romario asked in shock, but it sounded more like a mockery instead.

"Romario... shut up," William growled at his uncle who kept pushing Irene into a corner.

Irene seemed to have just realized what she said.

"Bu-b-but, this is nobody’s fault! I-I... can’t study be-be- because of some things!" she answered frantically.

"What is the reason, Princess? Education is something that is important and His Majesty the King really should understand that. I’m not sure if you can keep up with the lessons if you are accepted. Even if you start in the first year, it will be very difficult for you."

"But, Sir... Please... I have promised my brother. I want to make him proud of me."

Everyone fell silent. They refrained themselves from asking questions. Seeing the princess bow her head pleadingly was a rare sight.

"If you can give me a reason, maybe I will consider it, Princess. Besides, how can we accept you if your score is like this?" asked Romario.

"Sir Romario Altez... I think it’s not your authority to say that. The final results will still be discussed with all the teachers and the school directors," said Mrs. It was Churchill who stepped up to stop Romario from crossing the line.

"You are a royal princess who should be an example for other children, but end up having a below average score for your admission test. I still remember that His Majesty the King was a very outstanding student, but it’s a pity that his younger sister has a bit of trouble studying."

"Hiks..."

William’s patience had shattered to pieces after hearing the hurtful words directed to Princess Irene. He could see how tormented the child beside him was. Without saying much, William jumped over the table in front of him then walked quickly towards Romario who was still standing in his place.

With his hands clenched tightly, William punched his uncle’s face using the hand that held Irene’s admission test answer, making the paper crumpled without shape.

Everyone there was trying to separate Romario from William frantically. The man shook off several hands that tried to hold him.

"I will report this to the king. Do you really think you’re better than anyone else? You know that His Majesty the King won’t let this slide, do you? You might find yourself outside the northern border tomorrow," William threatened his uncle, then turned away from the crowd of people in the room.

Romario didn’t hear William’s threats because the man had fainted on the spot.

Fuck off with manners.m! How could they judge someone’s manners when they themselves had no manners at all? William only glanced at Mrs. Churchill who let out a sigh of relief in her place. The woman didn’t look like she was trying to help Romario at all. Instead, she looked at William with full of regret.

However, it was all too late.

William then pulled Irene’s hand to come with him.

"William?"

"Irene, let’s go home now."

Irene came out with her hand being pulled by William. They went through the hall to call Aimee as well as the guards. They actually had another schedule, which was to have dinner together, but William had lost his appetite. Besides, Irene also couldn’t stop crying.

As they were passing through the hall, they ran into Sasha.

"Irene!" Sasha greeted the girl excitedly.

However, William had been taken over by his anger, so he didn’t heed Sasha’s call. He also heard another call, but he ignored it. Then, he closed the door to the room so no one could see Irene crying. Aimee, who was sipping the warm tea, immediately dropped her cup when she saw Irene arrive while sobbing.

"Oh my, Lord William! What happened?" Aimee asked frantically.

"I-I messed everything up...." answered Irene in between her sobs.

William ordered the guards present to prepare their carriage immediately, as they would be returning to the palace soon.

"I’ll explain later. We must leave this disgusting place as soon as possible. Just breathing the same air as those bastards makes me sick," exclaimed William irritatedly.

Aimee hugged Irene to give the girl strength. Irene’s hand was still holding William’s hand tightly. The two of them waited until the princess could calm down and then left the room.

Sasha and his parents who had been summoned for an interview met Irene, William, and Aimee again. Only Aimee waved her hand at the red-haired boy.

"Papa, wait a minute. I want to give something to Princess Irene first."

"But, Sasha..."

"Just one minute!" said the boy who then ran to catch up with his friend. He saw Irene who had gotten into the carriage and was followed by Aimee. William was about to close the carriage door, but Sasha’s voice stopped him.

"William!"

"Sir!" called Sasha also a teenage boy with glasses at the same time.

William turned around and looked at the two children of different heights in front of him with annoyance. He still couldn’t shake off his frustration.

"Do you need something?" asked William curtly.

Sasha and the teenage boy that William remembered as Cedric held out a handkerchief at the same time, making him raise his eyebrows in confusion. Sasha and Cedric looked at each other for a moment.

"For Irene."

"For Irene"

They said it all together.
