Chapter 712: The Agreement Between Thebis And Northendell

Arielle’s sparkling blue eyes met directly with the princess’ beautiful brown eyes.

"I’m just a girl who happened to befriend some creatures in Birwick."

"Birwick!?" asked Princess Bertha in surprise. Really, she was surprised by many things in the conversation this time. She didn’t know that Arielle befriended the mythical creatures, but how could the girl befriend them....?

Arielle and Ronan nodded simultaneously. "My wife is a special person. She has a dragon servant in Birwick."

"Servant? Maxieno is my friend, Ronan," Arielle said, confirming her husband’s words.

Ronan didn’t care. "The point is, the dragon is working for Arielle, and she has more information regarding the curse. I’m sure you listened to the conversation of Grandma Bertha and I from the start, right, Princess Zohra? So I hope you get my point."

"Oh! About the preference-"

"Ahem!" Arielle cleared her throat quite loudly with a flushed red face, which made Princess Zohra chuckle lightly.

Princess Zohra understood why Ronan liked to tease his wife so much earlier... She didn’t mean to peek. However, seeing two lovebirds flirting with each other was enough to make her jealous because so far she had only met men who didn’t understand women’s feelings.

Except when she visited this place, of course.

"Yeah... all these curses... And I agree. It’s possible that all of these are connected to each other... I’ll try visiting the dragon clan to confirm this."

"Try? Can’t you go straight to them?" Ronan asked with a slight frown.

"Dragons are prideful and haughty creatures, Your Majesty. They can only be found if they want to. If not, even if the king summons them, they won’t come."

"So they all are the same," muttered Arielle, remembering how arrogant the dragons of Birwick were.

"Really, this is so much fun. I can’t believe I’ll meet someone like you two. It’s an honor. Then, Your Majesty, does this mean there is a possibility that Thebis can be filled with a lot of green plants again?" asked Princess Zohra with a thin of excitement in her voice.

Ronan smiled broadly.

"Thebis and Northendell will be filled with greenery plants and flowers meadows again. I don’t know when it will happen, but I believe..." He turned to his wife with a smile. "That day will surely come." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

"Then... cancel tonight’s party, Princess Bertha. I must return to Thebis immediately to contact Prince Khaled for the future of Thebis. This is great news. It’s good that I left Thebis out of boredom. Even though before deciding to go to Northendell, I planned to visit Nieverdell to enjoy the green and refreshing scenery of that place."

Ronan and Princess Zohra seem to be in the same boat. Of course, he wouldn’t let his guard down, but seeing the woman’s trusting gaze, he knew that they had the same goal.

It was just a matter of how Ronan could convince Princess Zohra and Prince Khaled that he would hand over all of these plans to Arielle without telling them about his wife’s power. Ronan would think about it later.

"I’m really glad we have the same goal, Your Majesty. I am only slightly surprised to hear that you correlate the curse of the eternal snows in the North with the eternal flames in Thebis."

Ronan smiled. "I feel the same way. At least my wife and I now know that the dragons do exist in Thebis, and we may have a way of meeting them."

Princess Zohra looked back at Arielle. The girl with sparkling white hair with eyes as bright as the blue sky smiled sweetly at her. However, despite her friendliness, Princess Zohra knew that the girl exuded a very mysterious aura.

Even Princess Zohra didn’t know that the dragon clan worshiped by the royal family was related to a girl who had never entered her radar. If she had known much earlier that the girl in front of her was special, then she would have visited the Northendell Palace during the coronation ceremony back then and introduced herself properly.

"You say you’re from Nieverdell? I have attended the parties held by your late father, King Hugo, quite often, but I don’t really remember you. I only remember a few princesses who were quite prominent like Andrea and Annalise. Whose concubine’s daughter are you? I know all of King Hugo’s concubines quite well," asked Princess Zohra to Arielle.

"Uh... my mother died a long time ago. She died after giving birth to me, so I doubt if you know her. Her name is Mirabelle."

"Mirabelle... Sorry, I don’t really remember."

Arielle just smiled, not giving any response. She also wouldn’t know anything if Princess Zohra asked something related to her mother because she had absolutely no memories of the woman named Mirabelle.

Ronan could see Arielle’s discomfort when Princess Zohra asked about the girl’s parents. Even when Princess Zohra expressed her regret at how the Nieverdell royal family died in one night due to a huge fire in the palace, Arielle still showed the same reaction.

Princess Zohra regretted it because the royal family of Nieverdell quite often held parties, and as they already knew that the woman enjoyed parties.

"Ah, I think we can continue our conversation after lunch. I’m a little tired because I have to wait outside long enough. Grandma, my wife and I are going to rest. See you later," Ronan said then asked Arielle to stand up.

"Eh? We’re done? But, what about Princess Leonor? And the plan? We don’t ask right away?" asked Arielle who was confused as Ronan suddenly asked her to stand up and leave the library.

Ronan took his mask and smiled.

"I will send someone to summon William. William is the perfect person to do this kind of thing. That man knows how to discuss between kingdoms," he whispered.

Arielle then asked Grandmother Bertha’s and Princess Zohra’s permission to leave the library. Both of the women frowned at the sight of the lovebirds leaving them just like that.

However, when Arielle gave them a polite nod, both of them stood up, put their feet behind, and bowed slightly before Arielle and Ronan disappeared completely behind the library door.
