I wasted no time calling Timothy back, and after several rings, Timothy picked up, asking me why I called.

"You should be the one scared and stop threatening me. You know I have the power to do anything. I want to you because you betrayed Aria, and she must not find out about that." I said to him as he wasn’t going to intimidate me this way.

Timothy seems a bit silent from the other end of the phone before finally speaking up.

"You cannot threaten me because I am still going to be her best friend, no matter what you do in this world," Timothy said, and that sounded so funny to me that I couldn’t help but continue to chuckle back and forth.

"You are the worst. I don’t think I can be friends with you any longer after what you did, " I said to him and then I remembered I had called him to ask a question, which could not be avoided.

"Why couldn’t you tell me that Maya and her accomplice burned Aria Hair?" I said to Timothy. He seemed a bit silent but finally responded,

"how was I going to tell you that if you were yelling at me for being a betrayal to Aria, besides, you get to find out yourself whenever you find her, "Timothy said in such a rude tone. I could not believe he was once my best friend. I cannot even believe I would continue to be his best friend when Aria recovers.

"Tell me where she is, or I will continue to wait for Aria, and whenever she recovers, I will tell her the truth about your deceit. "I warned again due to his silence.

"I will text you the hospital’s address, but after that, do not disturb me. I do not want to hear for any reason. You telling her the truth is that understand."Timothy said , and even before I could end the call, he ended it on my ear, making me cough in surprise. That was how different he had become.

After a few minutes, Timothy sent the address to me, and I couldn’t be happier. I stared at the hospital’s name and tried to recall if I had called that hospital line to ask Aria, but surprisingly, I had skipped that name, thinking it was insignificant, but now I can see that that is where Aria was.

I wasted no time rushing back home as I packed all my belongings and placed them in my bag. When I find Aria, I’m going to take care of her, that is for sure, and that will mean I will not be coming back home anytime soon.

As I stepped into the sitting room, I saw my mother doing some things in the kitchen, and she stared at me weirdly, clearly because of the bags in my hand.

"Aria was in the hospital for some days, and I have not been able to check on her because I had no idea where she was, and as you know, her parents have traveled, leaving her with only Jaxon and he hates her so much, so I have to stay with her. I don’t mind the both of us going together". I told my mom.

she was the kind of woman who would easily believe me; that was how much she trusted me, so all she did was nod, and she continued what she was doing.

"Just take good care of yourself, my love", she said to me, and I couldn’t help but smile widely. She was the best person in the world. If only Aria had someone like this, then things like this would not have been happening to her.

As I stepped out of my compound, I dashed to the bus station and entered the nearest bus to the hospital; sitting in the back seat, I couldn’t help but imagine how Aria would feel right now.

Different thoughts flooded my mind as the boss was on his way to the hospital. If truly Maya and her friend had burned. Aria’s hair which would mean that Aria will be passing through a lot? I couldn’t help but start getting emotional to the verge of tears as I cleaned my cheeks.

I was going to stay strong for Aria’s sake. That girl was going through a lot, and I would not blame her if she had a sudden breakdown. I was the only one who knew her so well and knew that Aria was passing through a lot, just as I thought getting to the hospital would be easier. We got hold on the road by traffic, and it seemed heavy.

I decided to call Aria again Maybe she would pick up, but it went directly to voicemail as it seemed to be switched off even worse than before.

It made me scared, but I tried to calm myself down as I knew Aria was a brave person and would survive anything that happened to her.

I stared out the window, watching the traffic going very slowly, wondering when I would get to the hospital. When I saw Jaxon. I thought I was dreaming and cleaned my eyes again to be sure it was him that I saw, and hopefully, it was him.

I couldn’t believe Jaxon was not missing, and yet he could not protect Aria enough. I slammed my hand on the window glass of the bus, trying to get his attention, but he did not answer, and then the people on the bus stared at me awkwardly, clearly as if I was disturbing them. I decided to sit calmly and wait till I got to the hospital.
