Aria pov

I don’t believe what I had just witnessed. I looked at Mary in confusion as she smiled awkwardly at me.

"That was why I wanted you to come to school. If you were still in the hospital trying to heal, then Jaxon would be doing this behind your back, and the funny part was he would act so naturally about it. I am sure he showed some attitude to you this morning; that is a way of him distancing himself from me before he gets close to this, witch!!"Mary said, and I couldn’t help but wonder why Mary would call her such a deceitful name. She looks so rich, even richer than anything I could dream of if they joined all my assets together. It was not even half of her wealth.

I turned to Mary with a frown on my face. She had just offended me, and I needed to let her know I was pissed off With her,

"you couldn’t tell me all this time. You should have warned me about this then. I will not be acting so surprised." I muttered to her while trying to Hold in my Anger.

"Do you know how Jaxon acts whenever he thinks he is superior to someone? That is how he acted to me this morning, and I wondered what was wrong. If not that, you had even given me a hint of what was happening. I would have gotten into an argument with him ." just as I was discussing with Mary in a tone more like a whisper. I saw Timothy being dropped off as he exited his father’s car and walked towards the school gate. I looked away in annoyance. He might have been with me from the very start, but what he did at the end could not just be forgiven so easily. But as I looked away, I saw the girl from the hospital who was called Arya and wanted to pour all my annoyance at her. I am sure she is also very much aware of this lady but still decides to force herself on Jaxon.

Some guts people have, I wondered, but just as I was about to walk away with Mary, she rushed towards me and dragged me by my bag, making me stop. I turned around and looked at her from head to toe to toe.

"What do you want, and why are you stopping me? You cannot even politely pull me back; You have to drag my bag." I said to her in annoyance and It turned into very loud laughter from Her

She began to clap her hands in a deafening way as people around us began to stare.

I could not understand why she just acted that way.

"What exactly is your problem arya? That is Jaxon, walking away with that unknown lady. I think you should follow them and maybe tag along since you can kill yourself for him," I told her, but instead, she continued to chuckle.

It became so frustrating until suddenly, she stopped and stared at me from head to toe.

"Do you think you can act so superior? I am just so happy that Rachel is back," She said as I turned my attention to Mary, but she was silent. She was avoiding. So I asked 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

" what do you mean by Rachel? Who exactly is her? " But she immediately pointed to the lady walking away with Jaxon. I had heard that name before; I just had never seen her pictures before. She was called the school’s Queen Bee and suddenly vanished two years ago after her little incident with Jaxon and her parents got into the issue.

I could not believe she had returned just to be with him. Aria could see the shock in me as she started laughing again.

"You should just give up already. He might be your stepbrother, but it does not change anything. Rachel would always win, and I am sure." Arya warned before walking away.

Once, I was sure that Aria had left. I pulled Mary tightly to my side as I whispered to her,

"you never told me you never prepared me for this. You did not tell me that this lady is prevalent with Jaxon", I said to her in frustration as I placed my hand on my head, and walked towards the main building. She ran beside me and placed her hand on my shoulder, but I kicked it off with my hand in annoyance.

"Why are you making me seem like I have no reason to this school just because of our review, and you knew all about this? I am very sure you knew that Rachel was returning to school. You knew the kind of impact she had on Jaxon, but you never told me about it. Even yesterday. You could have told me, and I would still be more cautious with everything."I said to Mary while trying to hold in my anger and emotions, but she shook her head sideways.

"I did not want to hurt you; that was why I could not tell you. That was why I kept quiet because any little thing I said to you would hurt even now. Aria has not told you the truth because if you end up listening to the truth, you will get hurt more than you imagine". Mary said to me, and I couldn’t help but be puzzled about what she meant.

Was this how treacherous this lady was? Or was this how she loved Jaxon? Or Was it just confusing me too much?

I decided not to be too bothered by what Mary said, and instead, I walked into the school building with no worries.

Everyone began to stare at her, some with pitiful faces, and some with envious faces that I did not care about. As I approached the front of my locker and opponent’s one-on-off, Jaxon male friend rushed towards me.

"Hey, Aria, you came at the right time to witness Jaxon and Rachel’s reunion", He mocked before rushing you off.
