My Antique Mirror Is A Portal To Another World-Chapter 47: How about you ask Feng Xiyan?
Chapter 47: How about you ask Feng Xiyan?
Feng Wu had heard of his Master being blessed by Heaven, so he wasn’t surprised that Heaven knew Feng Xiyan’s name.
With his head bowed, he replied, "Yes. This subordinate’s name is Feng Wu, and Feng Xiyan is my master."
Finally relaxing after hearing Feng Wu’s answer, Bai Hanyun asked, "What is the current water level of the lake?"
Feng Wu responded, "It’s about halfway full."
Bai Hanyun pondered and muttered, "It should be full after filling it with water for another day or two. It should be enough for Feng Xiyan and others’ daily use."
Knowing that Feng Xiyan and the others have enough water to use, Bai Hanyun went to the dining room and placed the antique mirror on the dining table.
Heading into the kitchen, she took a pack of frozen steamed meat buns from the freezer and put them on the steamer. While waiting for the steamed meat buns, she prepared a pot of seafood porridge.
Ten minutes later, Bai Hanyun returned to the dining room with a plate of steamed meat buns, a bowl of seafood porridge, and a cup of hot soy milk.
Just as she was about to eat, she noticed that Feng Wu was still kneeling in front of the mirror on the other side.
Bai Hanyun was flabbergasted and asked in confusion, "What are you doing kneeling there?"
Hearing this question, Feng Wu answered calmly, "I’m waiting for Heaven’s instruction."
After staring at Feng Wu for a moment, Bai Hanyun glanced at the food on the table and then back at Feng Wu. After a moment of silence, she asked, "Have you eaten?"
Feng Wu looked at his flat stomach and answered, "Not yet."
As he said that, his stomach let out a sound.
Gruu... gruu...
The next moment, both Bai Hanyun and Feng Wu fell into an awkward silence. After a long silence, Bai Hanyun finally said, "You should get up for now."
"Thank you, Heaven," Feng Wu said, then stood up.
While he stood there, Bai Hanyun went to the kitchen and scooped a bowl of seafood porridge from the pot. She also prepared a plate of steamed meat buns and a cup of soy milk.
After placing everything onto a tray, Bai Hanyun returned to the dining table and sent the meal to Feng Wu.
When the food appeared on the ground in front of the mirror, Feng Wu’s eyes widened in surprise. Smelling the fragrance of the porridge and the sweet scent of the steamed meat buns and soymilk, he swallowed hard.
"Heaven, is this for me?" he asked with a hint of anticipation in his voice.
Bai Hanyun sat back down and replied, "Yes."
Upon receiving the confirmation, Feng Wu was stunned for a moment before hurriedly saying, "Thank you, Heaven!"
Seeing how happy he was when eating, Bai Hanyun smiled and continued her breakfast.
Five minutes later, Feng Wu finished his meal and looked at the empty porcelain bowls and plates. After thinking for a while, he asked, "Heaven, what should I do with these bowls and plates?"
When he asked this, Bai Hanyun casually replied, "Just send them back to me."
Feng Wu had only heard that they could receive things from Heaven, but he had never heard that they could send things back. freewebnσvel.cøm
Scratching his head in confusion, he said, "Feng Wu is ignorant. Heaven, how do I send them back to you?"
Realizing he didn’t know how to return the dishes, Bai Hanyun thought for a while and replied, "I’m not sure if you can send things back the same way I send them to your world."
She paused for a second and then hesitantly added, "How about you ask Feng Xiyan?"
Since even Heaven didn’t know how to return things to her, Feng Wu had no choice but to seek his master’s guidance.
Clasping his fists, he replied, "Yes, Heaven."
Having made up his mind, Feng Wu then wrapped the mirror with a red silk cloth. Looking at the dirty bowls and plates, he decided to wash them first.
After cleaning them, he carried the bowls, plates, mirror, and mirror stand back to the barracks.
Seeing that the mirror’s surface was covered with red cloth, Bai Hanyun knew Feng Wu was on his way to find Feng Xiyan.
Soon, Feng Wu appeared in the commander’s tent. Seeing that Feng Xiyan wasn’t there, he placed the mirror back on the altar and went out to look for him.
Before long, he found his master at the training ground. After confirming that only Feng Xiyan was there, he appeared before him and knelt.
Feng Wu patiently waited for Feng Xiyan to finish his sword practice before reporting, "Master, the mirror has stopped spitting out water."
Feng Xiyan wiped his sweat with a cloth and asked, "Did you bring it back?"
"Yes," Feng Wu replied. After a pause, he added, "Master, this subordinate has a small request."
It was rare for his shadow guards to make requests, so Feng Xiyan asked with curiosity, "What is it?"
Feng Wu took out the bowls and plates from the cloth bundle on his back and said, "This morning, Heaven bestowed food and water on this subordinate. This subordinate wishes to return these bowls and plates, but I don’t know how. Master, please enlighten me."
Hearing this, Feng Xiyan thought, ’Heaven’s favor is rare and precious. Feng Wu is blessed to receive it. His future will surely be bright.’
With that in mind, Feng Xiyan said, "Feng Wu, come with me."
"Yes, Master."
Feng Xiyan led him back to his tent, then lit three incense sticks and said, "Place the bowls and plates on the altar."
"Yes, Master."
After Feng Wu neatly placed the bowls and plates on the altar, Feng Xiyan handed him the incense sticks and said, "Kneel and pray."
Holding the incense, Feng Wu followed his master’s instructions and knelt before the altar. Closing his eyes, he prayed sincerely.
The next second, the mirror glowed briefly—and the bowls and plates disappeared.
