Revenge Wears Red Lipstick-Chapter 164: Party
The spotlight landed on a figure on stage, dressed in red tights, who looked more seductive than the other dancers. When his face became evident, Ryan clenched his fists under the chair.
On the stage was a familiar man dressed in red tights with little to nothing to the naked eye. His chest was bare, revealing his pink nipples. He had a mask covering at least half of his face, but even then, Ryan was very familiar with who was behind it.
It was none other than Rico.
"That’s the golden boy!!" The man sitting right next to Ryan cheered. "He’s Donnero’s ticket to making hot cash every night. Since he’s cute and feminine, a lot of customers are ready to spend a night with him. But Donnero made him so expensive." He hissed in disappointment as he sipped from the glass. "Even I tried to save up to fifty grand but I’m not that rich."
Ryan’s gaze was still on the stage as Rico rocked his body to the music. It took every fibre of self-control left in him not to jump onto the stage and drag him away immediately as the other old sleepy geezers drooled over his body.
Ryan swallowed his anger when a waiter walked towards him.
"What would you like to order sir?" The waiter asked.
Ryan paused before he replied without tearing his gaze away from Rico. "Vodka. Just vodka."
The waiter returned to get the drinks.
Ryan remained seated, his fingers tapping on the table impatiently.
"So tell me. Who are you planning on getting tonight? The golden boy?" The man sitting beside him asked.
Ryan turned his face to face him, this time, taking in his facial features.
The man seemed to be in his late thirties. His flashy suit glimmered under the dimly lit space. Red hair with a few freckles over his face and a jawline that looked like he’d been sucking his thumb since infancy.
Overall, the man looked like someone who was trying to fit in. He looked like a businessman but the tiny sparkles on his suit gave off the impression he was trying to gain attention.
Who wears a suit with sparkles?"
"I am," he replied flatly, sipping his vodka after the waiter had served it.
The man sized Ryan up. "Are you sure you can afford him?"
"I’m not here to afford him," Ryan said, taking another sip of his vodka.
The man sitting opposite him frowned in confusion but Ryan ignored him entirely.
He checked his wristwatch. The time just clicked 8pm. Quickly, he sent a text to someone on his phone. Then he dropped it and took another sip from his glass, his gaze returning to Rico who was already staring at him.
Rico was done dancing and had already stepped down from the stage.
He’d already seen Ryan since the spotlight landed on him. His eyebrows furrowed in worry, wondering what Ryan could be doing there.
Questions flooded his mind but he was reluctant to turn towards him and ask them.
He glanced around, making sure that Donnero wasn’t present. When he confirmed it, he walked towards Ryan but someone grabbed his arm immediately.
"Rico, why don’t you spend the night with me? I promise I can afford you." A heavily drunk and wasted old man laughed, his breath dripping with a foul smell as if he hadn’t brushed his teeth for days. The mixture of alcohol made Rico’s tummy turn.
"Only the money in your wallet can answer that question," he replied, smiling but he was starting to lose his patience.
He tried to pry his arm off but the old man only held it tighter.
"You look so pretty up close. Why don’t you kiss me first?" He demanded. "Wouldn’t want to spend a lot of money on a useless product." Then he laughed with his colleagues as if he’d just cracked a joke.
Rico bit his bottom lip as his patience continued to slip.
"Let me go," he grunted. His wrist where the man held tightly was starting to swell. His fist itched to give him a fistful kiss on his cheeks instead.
"Come on now. It’s just a kiss. I’m sure you can do that for me, no?"
"He already told you to let him go, why don’t you listen?"
The old man suddenly heard a voice right before a strong balled hand landed on his face, throwing him to the ground while he tried grabbing onto the table which failed in supporting him entirely. The drinks poured on him like rain while he struggled to get up.
The music had stopped entirely and everyone was watching them now.
"Who the fuck are you?!" He questioned, holding to his cheeks where a red fist was printed boldly on his face.
Ryan stepped forward. "Me? I’m no one actually but at the same time, I couldn’t sit still and watch you harass someone for no reason at all."
The old man hissed under his breath as he carelessly tried to attack Ryan.
Ryan caught his fist and without a second thought, he twisted it at an odd angle, chills of satisfaction running down his spine when he heard the bone crack.
The man yelled in pain, trying to pry his arm away but Ryan held it tightly.
"You should let him go," Rico whispered to Ryan, his eyes twitching in fear. "If Donnero comes here and sees you—"
Rico didn’t get the chance to complete his words when he felt the air change.
"You never learn, do you?" Donnero asked, his eyes cold and empty as usual. "Maybe I need to teach you a lesson before you can learn some manners."
Ryan threw the old man’s broken arm away and faced Donnero, a grin on his lips.
He checked his wristwatch, the grin stretching.
"Good. I happen to also want to teach you a lesson."
Donnero cocked his eyebrow in confusion but before he could ask Ryan what he meant, the people barged in from the entrance door, the bouncers hung up in the air and two men pushed them to keep walking. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
A man stepped forward, his gaze lazily scanning the tense room.
"Hope I wasn’t late for the party?" Dante asked, making eye contact with Donnero.
